RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

'Doesn't do much' as in DR, or as in 'physical damage isn't going to do anything'?

Hardness and immunity to critical hits. You did some damage but not much.

Gideon, looks like you formatted your dice roll incorrectly.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Yeah, I did. Fixed it just now.

Groovy! Your check is high enough to shut down the analytical engine. I will post an update later this morning.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Question: The spell Jester's Jaunt says that the destination of the spell "must be on solid ground"; does that mean I can't use the spell to teleport someone to a different area while we're here underwater?

I will let you do so underwater.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Sadly my CMD with haste is exactly 24! Anyone got some help for that? :)

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Did that spell make the aboleth's invisibility fall away?

@Terana - can't help you, I'm probably more f$%%ed than you are tbh. Being a caster in a grapple is the worst. There's a reason the BT spell is known as "win the fight"

You still cannot see the aboleth.

Gideon - if you have another Dispel, maybe you could get rid of the force barrier that's surrounding the thing? I only prepped 1 Dispel Magic :(

I still haven't resolved this round yet, waiting on Tobar's amended actions. Gideon's actions will take place next round.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Do you guys think it'd be worth it to try dispelling it? Another option would be to use Jester's Jaunt to teleport Terana to the other side of the wall instead of using Slow. That wouldn't require a caster level check and is doable since the WoF is transparent.

I got really lucky on that last roll, no doubt; Wall of Force is a 5th-level spell, so it's dispel DC would be 15+Onthooth's caster level, which I'm sure is fairly high. I'd probably need to roll at least as high as I did on the last one and I don't know that I want to count on that. The RNG giveth and the RNG taketh away.

This isn't a wall of force, but an illusory wall. You can pass through it without problems.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

You mentioned a "field of force" around Onthooth when the orca attacked him; I was assuming he had a Wall of Force around him. Is that not the case?

Oh, no. That's just his mage armor. :)

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Ah! I gotcha. Thank you for the clarification!

Also, my apologies for jumping the gun on the actions for next round. Would you allow me to revise, depending on what happens with the bad guys next round?

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

One final thought about my last post; I wanted to edit one more time, but the time limit passed before I could finish it! If Cathyriel or Tobar are able to determine that the squids are illusions, it would only take a double-move from the orca to get into melee range with Onthooth from the south; that would box him into that corner and force him to cast defensively any time he wanted to use magic or to go directly to melee.

Cathyriel is up!

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Posted :)

Terana's assault will take out Onthooth! Full post later tonight or tomorrow.

Woo! That was some Grade-A teamwork there, guys. First round's on me! Figuratively speaking, of course.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Terana eats up a ridiculous amount of my luck, but I really don't mind at times like this!

My 1 in 4 crits guy gets the short end, but hey. I like Terana more!

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Just so people (mostly Brainiac) know I'm at a wedding tomorrow and so won't be posting properly again until Sunday. :)

Is there a check I need to make for the mining or just assume I'm taking 20 or what?

Also, is Machi addressing Gideon or someone else?

You can take 20 and be successful.

Machi is speaking to Tobar, since he brought Aoinse into the shop.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Bleh. That's what I get for just skimming your post.

You can find whatever types of gems are suitable for whatever you are planning, Gideon. :)

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Trying to put in the RP effort to work seriously on Aeroclyse's rehabilitation into not CE. :D No idea how you want to handle it boss?

Well, he is only CN so you don't have as far to go. Just keep chatting with him and we'll see how convincing you can be.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Regular roleplay it is! :D

I'm guessing if I can regenerate his eye that'll help too?!

Definitely.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Kuleda is too close to Kurana for my liking...

Waiting on Tobar's response to Gideon.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Sorry. Been sick as all getout for two weeks, and stuff is just slipping away. :(

I am off work until next Thursday December 5th, so my posts may be sporadic until I return.

I am back now!

How would you like the wedding to go, Gideon? Do you want to play out everything leading up to it and the ceremony or would you prefer I write a big post summarizing everything and move things along quicker?

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

I think a big summary posting would work better. I don't want to bog the game down for everyone by playing out all the minutiae of the planning and the ceremony.

Okay, I'll write up a big post tomorrow and then get things started on book 4 of the AP!

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

I've done a wedding in another of Brianiac's games - we went on quite a while with that and all the associated drama! :)

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Hah! I wouldn't mind actually playing it out, honestly; if I was doing this game solo, that's what I'd want to do. But I don't wanna keep all you other guys sidelined on something that is essentially a character-building and exercise for Gideon to help further his motivation for keeping the colony safe.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Doesn't bother me!

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Well...if the other players in the game are cool with it, I'd actually enjoy getting to play out all the prep work of it.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Rock on :) Terana is happy to help and it'll be character building for Aeroclyse to stop glowering for a few hours!

Looks like you're good to go to start playing out the preparatory stuff! :D

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Looks like! Thanks, everyone!
