I have remembered that. I haven't been rolling the electricity damage since they can't do more than 10 at a time. All the damage has just been physical. :)

I'll be out of town from Friday through Monday and won't be able to post much during that time.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Just thinking out loud here...is there any chance that, assuming we survive the adventure, we could talk Anoise into going back to Talmandor's Bounty with us? Since Luetin is our resident craftsman he might could learn how to craft clockwork mechanisms from Anoise and make some clockwork guards for the colony.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Sounds like a plan - although it might be quite a trip...

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Well...I'm hoping that once we're done on this island we'll have a chance to go back to the colony for a bit, though I'm sure we're gonna be off to somewhere else because of some nefarious plot we learn about here. Either way, Gideon's gotta tell Kulena he's alive and what's going on.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Starting next level I will be taking Slayer levels instead of Gunslinger, which will give me extra skill points that will go into Craft (Clockwork).

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Don't you have to also have the Craft (Construct) feat, which itself has a litany of requirements, to be able to make clockworks?

EDIT: Hmm. The Clocksmith archetype gives you Craft(Construct) at level one, even if you don't meet the other prerequisites. I wonder if that might be worth the one-level dip.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

One of my other RoA characters is an Arcanist who is going to be crafting clockworks and ioun stones left right and centre. Terana on the other hand is going to prestige into Paladin. :)

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

I haven't decided if I want to veer off of Archaeologist at all for Gideon yet, truthfully. Level 13 and 14 are both dead levels for an Archaeologist Bard and the only thing I've got coming up that really appeals to me is the upgrade to Archaeologist's Luck at level 11, so I'm trying to decide if multiclassing would be a good option; it's not something I normally even think about doing and am unsure of the cost vs. benefit.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Up to 11 and get about 5 levels of prestige on top? That would be a decent build I'd say.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Wouldn't really be prestiging; just multiclassing. I'm not sure if there really are any prestige classes I'd be into, but that's definitely something to look at. What are you prestiging Terana into? You said Paladin, but she IS a Paladin, so I'm not sure if that was a typo or you were trying to be cute.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

I'm being cute of course! Who says a six-foot, badly scarred gillwoman can't be cute?! There's really nothing worth stepping out of Pally - with the vows and the archetype I have I really can't think of anything that would help me smack abberations better than I can by sticking with what I've got.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

I figured as much! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't dare tell Terana she wasn't cute! My only hangup with multiclassing is the spellcasting. If I stay straight Bard, I'll probably get access to one or two 6th-level spells by the end of the campaign; if I multiclass I might not be able to get to those. Not to mention crafting clockworks would take a lot of campaign downtime, which we may not have much of by then.

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Cleric all the way with this one - the only drawback is the hopeless lack of skill points :-(

On the plus side, Hound Archon as a standard action ^_^

There's no kill like overkill

Short on time today but I will post tomorrow morning.

Alright, where to next?

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

I'm in Italy for a week so I won't be posting much for a little while. In the meantime: follow Gideon and try not to let him get into trouble... (futile but I gotta try!)

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Italy! Wow. Well whatever has you over there I hope you have a good time while there! Stay safe!

How is the party doing resource-wise? Are we near to needing to surface and rest?

Did you want to go around to the other staircase?

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Sorry for my relative silence over the last few days, guys. Work has put in a new firewall that's got Paizo blocked off and that's normally where I get my early morning posting in but I think I've got that issue sorted now. I'm gonna try to get back into my old posting habits of two or three times a day from here on out.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

And this is why a. Terana always goes in front and b. she has combat reflexes! :D

Rolling of thread just in case they be needed.

AOO 1: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 13 + 2 = 34 Damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
AOO 2: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 2 = 35 Damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Crit?: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 + 2 = 26 Damage: 2d10 + 14 ⇒ (3, 10) + 14 = 27

Tell me these get used!

Wanted to give everybody a heads up. I'm in Hurricane Dorian's potential path, but I work for a local news station so I'll likely be working 12-hour shifts starting in the next few days and throughout the week. Posting will likely be sporadic, especially if we lose power at home.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

I'm levelled - any ideas for a feat? I'm beginning to think I should take Improved Critical given just how hard Terana hits when she does land a crit!

Also, do we refill daily uses of things like Channel Energy and Smite? :)

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Blech - all day meetings :(

Brain frazzled. Will post tomorrow. Bot me as needed

You get the extra uses from leveling up but don't refresh expended uses until you rest.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Gunslinger (Bolt Ace) 9/Slayer (Sniper) 1

+8 hit points
+1 BAB
+2 Fort & Ref saves

Class features: Studied target, accuracy

Feat: Empty Quiver Flexibility (note to DM: This means that I now threaten the area around me with my crossbow as if it's a melee weapon)

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Level: +1 Bard

Favored Class Bonus: +1 Skill Point

Spells: +1 Level 3 (Jester's Jaunt)

Feat: Extend Spell

Adventuring Skill Points: +10
+1 Acrobatics
+1 Diplomacy
+1 Disable Device
+1 Intimidate
+1 Know(Local)
+1 Know(Planes)
+1 Know(Religion)
+1 Perception
+1 Spellcraft
+1 UMD

Background Skill Points: +2
+1 Craft(Jewelry)
+1 Know(Engineering)

Never really considered Jester's Jaunt before, but suddenly the potential application of being able to instantly move a part member into (or out of) melee without them sacrificing an action to do so seemed broad and powerful.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Typo: My level line is Gunslinger 8/Slayer 1.

Note that with some of my extra slayer skill points I picked up a couple ranks of Craft (clockworks).

Did you all want to rest first or continue on?

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

I'm hesitant to keep going, honestly. We're pushing our resources as is. Maybe one more encounter but I don't think we should try any more than that.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Play it safe and fall back I think. Better that.

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

We need to go through the loot we've picked up and distribute it to everyone. the Am Nat Arm +2 looks very tasty to Terana right now!

Ready to put an ioun stone in the altar's slot?

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Sure :) I'm in the middle of a big loot accounting post too so we'll distribute all of that beforehand please! :)

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Can't look at some game pages from work so someone please check pages 54, 55, 57, 61 for loot. Otherwise:

The storage room contains a fully stocked alchemist’s lab as well as the following alchemical items: three vials of antitoxin, one vial of alchemical glue, three vials of armor ointment, 5 doses of bloodblock, and four sunrods. There are also 15 full jars of aboleth mucus extract in the room.

Cursed Box
--------------
Pearl of the Sirines (incredibly good! Someone who can't swim well needs it. Tobar I think since he cant breathe underwater yet, or take the slippers of Cathy and she can have it to help with spellcasting) [7.65k]
Pearl of Power (3rd) [4.5k]
124 pp, 856 gp, and 352 sp in ancient Azlanti coins

Skum (multiple fights)
------------
6x CSW
3x CLW
5x CMW
2x LR
Jewellery 80gp
4 leather armour

mwk manacles,
amber necklace (worth 25 gp)
Large masterwork heavy repeating crossbow.

Statues
-------------
Ring of Spell Knw 2 [3k]
+1 Abberation-bane longsword [4k] (Cathy)

Terana picked up her efficient scabbard on one of the pages I can't read. :)

Assorted masterwork glaives (4), javelins (12), falchions (4), underwater light crossbows (2), longspears (3).

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

So... Terana can get up to AC25 if she can take the +2 Am and the Dusty Rose stone. She has a +1 Am already that someone else can use instead. Can she have one of the Rings of Resist too? (I don't care about the Ring of the Trog much)

Other big things: Cathy should have the Pearl of Sirines I think so she can do everything she needs to underwater, maybe with the Ring of Swimming. Then Tobar can have the slippers and everyone will have an easier time...

Pearl of Power and Ring of Spell Know should go to Gid and Cathy?

People should be wearing the mithril chainmails if they aren't already packing something better.

Who gets the robes? Either Terana or Cathy for the Unfettered Shirt probably. (Terana since Cathy can cast FoM?)

I feel like I'm claiming loads of loot items so please say if you want anything that Terana is currently holding etc. Tobar, can I interest you in a +3 halberd? :D

The map has been updated!

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

The Pearl of Power (3) would give Gideon an extra casting of Haste or Slow in a day, a spell which can easily turn the tide of a battle, if Cathy'd be ok with it going to Gideon.

Need actions for Cathyriel and Tobar.

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Sorry - will get something posted shortly

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

Since no-one fought me for them I've added the Am Nat Arm +2 and the Dusty Rose IS to Terana so she now has AC25.

Anyone want an Am Nat Arm +1? Cathy?

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

9th level (finally had time to do this!)

+1 Ref save

Feat: Selective Channel

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

dangnabbit, I've caught something from Itzi and it's contaminated my dice :/

RETIRED - divine guardian of the Compass (Ruins of Azlant)

He does that...

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 11; HP 69/69; AC 21/14/18; F+4/R+11/W+7; Init+3; Per+21; Arch.Luck+3+1,6/6

Man, when did we first pick up that Color Spray wand? It was somewhere in the first part of Book 1, wasn't it? We've hardly used it since we leveled up a bit but I'm sure glad we hung on to the thing instead of getting rid of it now. It's definitely making itself useful.

Female U Rogue (Eldritch Scoundrel) 1 I HP 9/9 I AC 14 [T 14 FF 10] I Fort +1 Ref +4 Will +2 I Init +5 I CMB +0 CMD 14 I I Perception +6

Just a quick heads-up, I'm out of town this weekend. Bot me as required.

I will be on vacation from work from October 12 - October 21. My posting will be sporadic over this time frame, but I will try to check in when I can.

Still need Tobar's actions.

Cathyriel and Tobar are up still.
