Often called the “Gateway to Chult”, the exotic city of Port Nyanzaru is built upon a landscape both mystifying and marvelous.
However, the city’s vibrant beauty is overshadowed by a mysterious scourge that plagues all within the land. Can the divergent forces within the city discover the truth before all are overcome by this growing threat?
Hey there! I am going to run DDAL07-01 A City on the Edge. It's the first module in the latest season for Adventurers League. It is a tier 1 adventure (lvls 1 - 4) using the rules for Organized Play found here. Note that Death Curse rules apply.
The module is composed of five adventures and I hope to move quickly through them. You may drop out at the end of each scenarios.
As per AL rules, I am looking for 3 - 7 players.
I'm looking for a once a day post frequency with the exception of weekends.

Welcome!
Yes, that's the Meat Grinder option.
In meat grinder mode, a death saving throw succeeds on a roll of 15 (instead of 10) or higher. A character playing an adventure in meat grinder mode earns 10% more XP and gp. The character can potentially receive more than an adventure’s normal maximum reward.
This option is available only while under the effects of the Death Curse. Each player decides whether or not they wish to use it, and their decision only applies to their own, individual characters; DMs can’t make this decision for them. Once made, the decision is final; it can’t be changed. Surrogates can’t choose this option.
There's more info in the Player's Pack with more info about the Death Curse.
BTW, Recruitment is on a first come first served basis. As long as you have an AL legal character you're in.

Bear in mind that meat grinder mode only applies once you have contracted the death curse. (Which means that your character has to die and be brought back before being eligible.)
I am probably going to make a new character too, or if Rav becomes available before you start, I will play him. :)
If I make a new character, I am thinking of making a fae-pact warlock.

That is not my understanding of meat grinder. Everyone is afflicted by the death curse to begin the game. Meat Grinder is just meant for advanced players looking for a greater challenge.
I would also be interested in playing. I'll come up with something.

Now that the Dm's rewards are out, I'm applying the Dms starting item to this character since it can be applied to any one character as code number DM07001. Kneoght's ointment, restores 2d8+2, cures poison and other diseases uses: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Unless it is suppose to have the maximum number of uses when you get an item like that or average, but I don't see that anywhere in adventures league

Okay, I will finish everything up with Nanbu this weekend. I am still trying to find a good archfae patron for him, but I am thinking that he is an orphan that got lost when his parents were exploring the jungles and were slaughtered. He was found by those little spirit thingies and brought to his patron, who raised him a la Tarzan.
He was reintroduced to civilization when he grew 'of age' and has trained under one of the several guides, but is still very much an apprentice.

I ended up going variant human and taking the Observant feat. Are you of the mind that minimum Perception or Investigation is your passive score? It was mentioned by Jeremy Crawford that it was the original intent, but I chock it up to table variation. (Don't worry, even with my +5, my Passive Perception is a whoppin' 14!) Where my character shines is his Investigation which is passive 18.
