Flaern Daeltis |
Bardic Knwoledge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
So, 5' in; either a 5' step (which prevents another move action) or a "full" move action; with a move action to grab the limp form, and no way to move back out this turn? Yeah, time to cast the CLW and move him next round.
Flaern moves up into the empty space, casts Cure Light Wounds on Fundir, and then reaches down and grabs Fundir's form, preparing to move him further back out of the fight.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Is it sad that I'm glad he didn't heal enough to draw another attack?
GM Sapphire Fox |
Flaern even with your 14 all you recall is that this is a skeletal champion named Asar
Patk: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Ecthelien sizes up the situation as he calculates the most logical course of action.
Arol Halfling |
Arol maintains his defensive posture as he takes a swing at the skeletal champion with his mace.
Attack, Light Mace (Fighting Defensively): 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 = 2
Damage, bashing: 1d4 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
After taking the swing, Arol grabs a dagger from his belt and holds it in his opposite hand from the mace.
* Standard action: Attack while fighting defensively for +2 Dodge bonus to AC until my next turn, -4 penalty to attacks.
** Move Action to draw dagger from sheath at belt.

Margat fires at the big skeleton and misses
The creature looks at Arol a moment
Atk: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
hitting hard enough against the little halfling if my math is right that should have Arol at -4?
Feeling smug enough, he dismisses his companions

Uncertain of what to do, but knowing that he would have little chance to contribute with his bow in this confined space, the young elf pulls his whip and steps up before attempting to trip the creature with it . . ..
Trip CMB from 10': 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Sigh. Still better than he would have done with a -8 to his bow use - no Precise Shot and a PC providing cover . . ..
Arol Halfling |
GM: That does beat my 21 AC from fighting defensively, but unless I missed something I was only down 5 non-lethal from the blunt arrow back around post # 503 on page # 11.
*looks back*
Maybe it was Post # 650, on Page # 13, you rolled a 19 to hit and 5 for damage, but I was full defense for + 4 to AC that round. My AC was effectively 23 and should have missed.
I should currently be at 5 lethal/ 5 non-lethal hit points remaining.
I'll post my actions this round depending on your ruling.
Ecthelien the Grey |
Ecthelien calls out.
NO! Not Arol too! This must end quickly before anyone else falls to these undead!
The elf fires another magic missile of pure force at red menace.
wand: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
If only I had the arcane power to disintegrate this creature!
Arol Halfling |
Sorry about that, I don't know how I missed it.
With a grunt of pain, Arol falls to the floor bleeding from his two wounds.
Stabilize next round?: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (14) - 4 = 10
*whew* just made it
Fen Kitlom |
"No this isn't happening!" Fen pulls out her wand of Cure Light Wounds.
I have a 0 BAB so I can't move and draw an item. I think wands and weapons work the same for drawing and moving. I had a GM mention that according to the module one of the bones of the skeletons could be used as a club. Hint, Hint. If the GM will allow of course.
Fundir |
Fen: You are correct. As long as the wand/rod/etc is not "Stowed" in a pack or something, it can be drawn as a weapon and subject to weapon rules. *Hence why most of my casters carry wrist sheathes for their wands..*
GM Sapphire Fox |
that is true, however if you are only moving a 5 foot step, I will let you pull it out as part of that action
Fen Kitlom |
Fen takes a deep breath, and silently prays to whatever god is listening at the moment. She stabs the wand at the undead creature.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Damage/Cure: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
GM Sapphire Fox |
Fen and Ecth seem to be the only o es to hit and damage the beast
With Fen right next to him, and his previous target on the ground, the beast swings
Atk: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 however Fen seems to have been missed

Flaern Daeltis |
Oh, this is such a bad idea. Oh, this is so stupid. Don't do it. Don't. Just say no. Arguing against himself even as he acts, Flaern casts a spell, charging it on his hand, but staying put and holding the charge, for now . . ..
Casts CLW (standard) but can't deliver it this round, so he has no reason to put himself next to the enemy's sword, yet.
Fen Kitlom |
She closes her eyes, and is amazed that the attack misses. Then Fen jabs at him with the wand again. "Please be redead. I don't want to keep doing this." She misses this time and waits for the attack.
Melee Touch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
