I just remembered -If I recall correctly, the bardic performance only affects people within 30 feet, yes? So that means those of us who aren't rescued yet don't get the bonus, I think. Unless, of course, Crusty rules otherwise.

Inspire Courage doesn't have a range, actually - as long as his allies can hear or see him (Depending on what skill he's using), they gain the benefit.
So if he's singing/telling a speech/etc, they have to hear him - so he can Inspire Courage if he's invisible, this way.
If he's dancing or doing something visual, he can't be invisible.
Other Bardic Performances may or may not have a range, depending on the performance in question.
Also, sorry about the delays! Yesterday was very busy for me, and today I got off to a slow start. Will move us along very shortly.

Aha. Hm, wonder where I got that from, then. Well, whatever! I'm glad. xD

Might be a relic from 3.5. I know Countersong has a 30ft range.. so that could be it too.
I was actually testing a bard with a level 6 fight not long ago (In relation to my Road to Damnation campaign - to see if the uh.. players could survive. They didn't.) and the bard was the only survivor of said fight - namely because he was invisible and had to stop singing due to uh..
Being paralyzed with fear.
I'll leave that as a minor spoiler. ;)

Heh yeah nor did the test-PCs I was using from the NPC Codex. I think there were at least four coup-de-graces against paralyzed PCs in that fight..
But I blame poor optimization and only 15 point builds on that more than me making the fight too hard. I mean the barbarian was using armor spikes as his main weapon, since I wasn't giving him his mount. XD

Robinton failed to get us moving on a natural 20? Well then I guess moving before we kill these sharks is out of the question.
yes. I would have thought a high profession (sailor) check would have allowed some awareness of futility. If real life, two rowers are easier, especially really strong rowers, to coordinate than 4 rowers. oh well.
cheers

Crusty,
I present you with a couple options in regards to my character, as I have an uncertain length of time approaching where my time is extremely limited. Two weeks ago, the hospital I worked for laid off 148 employees, myself included. Then, a week later, I received an eviction notice from my landlord because he wants the house I'm renting empty so that it will sell better (in his mind). As such, almost all of my time has been spent split between job hunting, house hunting, and packing.
So, if you would like to NPC Trevor until I am able to return, feel free, and I will try to follow along as best I can.
However, as it is essentially a brand new character who has no real ties yet, if you would rather just write him out completely (eaten by one of these sharks for instance, as I feel that would add a nice sense of urgency to the situation, lol), I would not be upset.
I leave the choice to you.

Ah s@#$ I'm sorry to hear this! Hmm.. I think it would be best that we let Trevor float around in the background - not dead, but not contributing at all, either. If or when you come back, he can be written in essentially as if he's been there all along. We'll level you up to catch up to the group then, as well.
Also guys, I want to apologies for the delays - I was going to move us along today, but RL stuff got in the way. I'm going to be moving us along tomorrow as a result.

"Boss" fight incoming. Cue the pirate music!

Zenu |

I'm still 90 feet away, if I counted correctly. My shortbow doesn't reach that far without penalty, plus I'd be shooting into melee, and finally I'd have a miss chance - Zenu wouldn't be quite that reckless with his potential rescuers.

Osir Korzar |

Crusty, I realized I did not apply the +1 to attack and damage for Robinton's inspire courage. Is that still in effect? If so, toss on another point of damage for the nasty Sahaugin Commando.
Also, regarding Inspire Courage... does it effect my pack? ie, would Pelinor also have had a +1 to attack and damage?

Thron |

So, now that things have cooled a bit and I've had a chance to calm down from those previously mentioned stressors (as well as fighting with family), I've decided that I really only have time for one PBP game, and, if your willing to have me back Crusty, I'd like it to be this one. Sorry for the flip-flopping on this, but, as I'm sure you can tell, it's been a rough month for me. And I didn't want to risk holding up this PBP on my count.
As such, I'll keep Trevor quiet until you decide to green light me back in or not.

Sorry for the delays guys, busy weekend. Gameplay post is up!
Also I wanted to talk to you guys about possibly not using Exp anymore - the same idea that I plan on doing with Road to Damnation. Instead of using Exp, I'll level you guys up at relatively regular intervals - perhaps get rid of less-important combats as well, and have more major ones.
What do you guys think? I'm sure there will be no one missing dire rat fights! (Which is what I replaced with this fight) Also, I realize that this fight had some issues.. Trevor and Zenu barely got to do anything >.<
