yeah i'm still interested, no worries!
Having said that, I do apologize, the week has thus far been occupied by too much work and hanging with a friend from out of state when i'm not at work.
Tomorrow's my day off, I'll get a post up tonight hopefully and one or two tomorrow.

Gotcha, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my DMing :P If it is/was, I'd definitely want to know so I could fix it if necessary. I've honestly been a bit occupied with Minecraft lately meself.. so I understand.

I like the ship actions part of setting up the campaign. I hope we have a bit of this to get into the feel of being part of the crew.
Regarding the night actions, should we have posted that yet or should we wait for that?
Also Gamble: Play or gamble on a game of chance or pirate
entertainment -- what skill does this use? Profession Gambler?

![]() |

Wait for the night actions - I want everyone to finish their day actions first. The reason is, is because of what happens right before supper and the night off. You'll see!
Depends on the gamble itself - The ones normally available by the book are: Arm wrestling (over a barrel covered in glass and knives), Hog Lob (Throwing a lead bar covered in greased pig skin, to see who can throw the furthest), or one I can't remember the name of right now, that's basically a drinking contest.
And as for the ship actions, some people like to shorten them, but I'm planning on going for the entire three weeks or so, so you will definitely get into the feel of being part of the crew. :D

Alright, Sareivat, Runolf, since I've caught up myself with Robinton's post, putting up the ship's map, and doing the crew's jobs for the day, I'm going to give you guys until sometime tomorrow to post, before I post for your characters. I don't want us sticking too long on the first day, as there are three more in-game weeks of this, and if we spend a week on each day.. you can imagine how long that'll take. :P
Caerlei, I'll give you one extra day for yours, since yours is a little more detailed than the rest of theirs, though the sooner you can get your post done, the sooner we can get going as well.

Similarity apologizing here as well, It's been a long week and a short but frantic weekend. lol.
Work in progress on a post.
Thanks for the understanding guys, looks like everyone got hit hard this week dealing with real life.

![]() |

Alrighty, now all we need to do is wait for Caerlei for his post, and we can move on to the night. Not going to rush you guys anymore, though, since stuff's been busy. Even if I am an impatient bugger.. XD

![]() |

Indeed! I've a messed up sleep schedule so I just woke up, though, so gimme a bit! :D (Gotta think at wtf Kroop's gonna do in reaction to insane Caerlei..)

![]() |

I'm going to be moving us onto the Evening on monday guys. I don't think this week should be as troublesome for me, so hopefully we'll be seeing more action! :P

You guys are free to roam around the aformentioned areas for dinner/leisure time. Crew Berths, Main Hold, Main Deck, Foredeck, and Poopdeck. So you can eat dinner in any one of those places if you wish.

Hey guys, the Tuesday after memorial day is swamped and I'm gettin in pretty late and I have to be there early tomorrow. The rest of the week levels out and I should have time to post in the mornings and evenings.
Anyway, just a head's up that it will probably be tomorrow evening before I can get a post up in response. Sorry to be a drag guys!

Hey guys, just a quick heads up. I'm doing a minor change with my posting strategy for this campaign; I'm not happy with how I use Captain Robinton for both Robinton's Posts and the Dm's posts, and I'm sure you have noticed how little I post as Robinton himself. I've kind of dug myself a little hole with this, so I'm going to fix it. From now on, Captain Robinton's posts will be for Robinton only, while I'll be using Crustypeanut (My main alias) for all DM's posts.
This way, I can avoid confusing myself when I've posted as Robinton or as the DM, not to mention use various important NPC-related pictures as my DM's alias (Such as Fishguts right now).
Not much of a change, but it should help in the long run.

You've taken 3 Con Damage. In addition, you've gained a +2 Alchemical Bonus to your Charisma for 3 hours, and are fatigued for the same amount of time. The Con Damage must heal naturally, however.
Ability Damage: Damage to your Constitution score causes you to take penalties on your Fortitude saving throws. In addition, multiply your total Hit Dice by the Ability Damage penalty and subtract that amount from your current and total hit points. Lost hit points are restored when the damage to your Constitution is healed. See Ability Score Damage below... If the damage to your Constitution is equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you die. Unless otherwise noted, damage to your ability scores is healed at the rate of 1 per day to each ability score that has been damaged. Ability damage can be healed through the use of spells, such as lesser restoration....
I would greatly suggest that you modify the rum ration rules. Coupled with punishment for not drinking the rum ration, the RAW would kill the crew within a couple weeks. The way to survive is to only drink once every several days, which maintains some average Con damage that would show on work tasks requiring Con or Fort checks. Plus, if there is a probability of detection of not drinking the ration, then there would be a high probability of rum ration punishment every day. Please read the Skull & Shackles forum for ideas. My GM made the effects temporary and healing after sleep.
cheers

I've come up with a solution without modifying the rules at all, actually. I was going to explain how the crew survives on this strong stuff soon. I like the idea of how strong the rum is, but I also realize that the rum is too strong. (I actually was walking around saying to myself in Jack Sparrow's voice, "Why is the rum so strong?!" while thinking of a solution, until I thought of one.)
I have read the forum for ideas as well, and I think I'm happy with the rules and modifications I've come up with. In a sense, I'm taking a page out of D&D 3.0's Arms and Equipment guide as well, at least for the drinking contest game available for a night time action. All will be explained shortly.
I'll get the post up sooner than I had planned, though, to solve the problem. I'm working on my Reign of Winter post atm, so I'll get working on that afterwards.

Osir Korzar |

I made a fortitude save for the Rum ration myself. I had already previously indicated in my earlier post that Osir drank down the rum ration. Despite seeing how bad it was, it wouldn't really be fair if I ignored my earlier post.

Crustypeanut |

Weekends be slow.. I was giving people the opportunity to react to Sandara, though only you and Sare did so. So I'll get a post moving you guys forward either tonight or tomorrow. Feel free to mention what night time ship action(s) you'd like to do before that, though, as that is all we have left for the night.
Do remember, though, that if you're Fatigued (minus fatigue from the rum ration), you need to go to bed early to get rid of it. Same goes for classes that need to prepare spells.

Is the NPC Wormwood crew spread sheet up yet and if so, where do I look to find it?
I'm honestly trying to figure out how to get it up on Google Docs in a way where you can see it as it is updated immediately, rather than having to redownload it (and me reupload it) I'm a complete noob with Google Docs XD
Sort of how Lucent does it with his maps, but instead I'd like it with a spreadsheet.
If I can't figure it out shortly, I'll just set it up so you guys can download a copy of the spreadsheet, and you all can keep track of it independently.
And yes Mabe, I think its going a bit slow myself.. but Lucent's campaign was going pretty slow at first too, so I think it'll speed up once we get the hang of the ship actions.
Day 2 and onwards, I'll ask for all of your actions at once (Daytime Ship Action, Job Rolls, planned Night Time Ship Action(s)). Any punishments you get during the Bloody Hour may affect your night time ship actions, of course, and unusual events may or may not readjust your schedule for that day.
So, hopefully I'll get the spreadsheet up soon, and then day 2's post!

Looks good thus far. I wish I could access the map while I am at work, but my job has crazy internet restrictions. It's rather surprising that Paizo is left open to me.
Any chance there are any weapons near by, real or makeshift? Are there any nets?

Osir Korzar |

Decided not to influence and went with the sneak option and rolled my perception. That 20 is mighty impressive, though now I wonder about the intelligence of my choice. a 20+ my diplomacy on Aretta would have been very handy for the future, likely more handy then a look about the cook and quartermaster's quarters.

Crustypeanut |

Ah there it is. I posted it earlier in the discussion thread (Just up a few posts actually). I'm putting the link in the campaign tab - its not entirely updated, as I haven't updated it since you guys wooped these guys, so just do a minor change and make Fipps uninfluencable on the spreadsheet.
