I have three seats left for Pathfinder Society Scenario #4-10: Arclord's Abode, the second part of the two-part Skull & Scroll metaplot arc in the Year of Boundless Wonder, which began with Pathfinder Society Scenario #4-05: The Arclord Who Never Was.
---
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.
A talkative skull with glowing eyes was among the many wonders that recently turned up in the Pathfinder Society's vaults. Thanks to the Society's efforts in the magic-rich city of Quantium, the skull has rediscovered her identity as an influential wizard and magical researcher, whose spirit came to reside in her bony body after a magical mishap. She had been attempting to ritually protect herself from dangerous forces, and while her efforts did allow her to evade her pursuers for a time, they also left her true name in tatters. Can the Pathfinder Society help her piece together the mysteries waiting in her magical home before these forces return to steal her secrets?

Now recruiting for Quest #4: Port Peril Pub Crawl
A Pathfinder Society Quest designed for levels 1–4 (subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).
Venture-Captain Calisro Benarry has arranged for the PC's transport to the pirate haven of Port Peril to make contact with Free Captain Stella Fane and negotiate a contract with her, facilitating Society movements through the pirate blockades in the area. The job seems simple: track down the the pirate captain, secure the agreement, and then return to Absalom. But few things are simple when a den of villainous pirates is involved, and it's unlikely the PCs will be able to leave Port Peril without throwing a few punches in a proper pub brawl!

I can take Witch's Winter Holiday (or Shadows and Scarecrows, if someone would prefer it).

I have never run a PbP game, and a bounty sounds like a good way to start. If that is acceptable to everyone else signing, I would like to join.
I have read Cat's Cradle so I can take that.

Looks like we need one more GM, and I'll take the remaining Bounty.
Gunna go ahead and set up a "Bounty Board (#1-#6)" campaign, and we'll play the Bounties in numeric order!

Post in the Gameplay tab connected to this thread to add it to your campaigns. If you don't have anything you want to say you can delete the post. It still gets added.
Yes. Did that.
I know you're a prolific poster, but it looks like you're new to PFS. You don't like Bounties?
Fairly new. And only PBP. Location, among other reasons.
Bounties are fine. I'm just trying to get a second character going.
Oh, what I was meaning with that previous post is that I don't think I will have conflicts with chronicles. I'm still a bit unclear on how having multiple characters works with what scenarios I am allowed to be in.
But I think all the bounties and the scenarios that I have done with my other character are repeatables, so I won't have any problems.

![]() |

Oh, you've only done Bounties. I misunderstood that.
If an adventure isn't Repeatable (all Bounties are, everything else is tagged), you as a player can only play it once. You can also get a Chronicle for GMing it once. And you can spend Replays to repeat a scenario, though that's new-ish.
A given character can only have credit from a scenario once. If you play/GM then GM/play/Replay/repeat the Chronicle has to go to a different character. And that's about it.
Except specials. They're, uh, special and each has its own rules. Most of them aren't tagged Repeatable, but they have special rules making them a little bit repeatable.

![]() |

OK. So to repeat in order to make sure I have this understood properly.
I can play a non-repeatable scenario. Then I can GM the same scenario, yes? Or is it one or the other? Play or GM, but not both without using replay boons.
And if I do use a replay boon, I, as a player, can repeat a non-repeatable scenario, but only with a different character.
I think I also saw earlier in this thread that I could repeatedly GM the same non-repeatable scenario, but wouldn't get any additional credit for it. Well, not a second GM chronicle. Might still get some benefits.

Hmm, I may start running some Bounties soon! I am still trying to get the hang of PF2e, but I ran 1-06: Lost on the Spirit Road in a home game and loved it! I may start with that... Maybe in a week or two... I am also trying to get my FLGS to start doing PFS Quests / Bounties to drive up interest here...

![]() |

You can both play and GM and get a Chronicle, buy they must go to different characters.
OK. So the chronicle that you get for GMing a scenario is still a regular character chronicle and has to be given to one of your characters.
Do you have to get a chronicle for running a scenario? If so, it seems like I should have a character name dedicated to collecting some stray GM chronicles for scenarios that I don't want to lose the opportunity to play.

And to further clarify even repeatable scenarios quests bounties etc can only be applied to a character once. So if you gm a scenario etc the credit can't go to the character that played it. So welcome and please keep asking questions if you are unsure. And yes a character (or more) to assign gm credit is a good idea

You don't have to take a chronicle for GMing a scenario. A lot of people who do have "GM Babies" that they apply GM Chronicles to, and one day hope to play.

BretI |

Just as an example, the scenario Flooded King’s Court is not repeatable but Lost on the Spirit Road is.
Just below where they list the author(s) they have the Scenario tags. Not all scenarios have tags.
You can never have two chronicles for the same adventure on a character.

Thank you! I notice the Tracker sheet and the Google Slides for maps and tokens. I will have to get used to using those, but they should work fairly similarly to when I used to use Google Drawings for maps.
I will reserve spots for GM Tiger and Atae, then! GM Numbat, if you'd like a spot, I feel like having you folks will be a great resource for me! I will be sure to post here when I am ready!
Woo hoo! Getting excited about running PFS again after all these years!

There's no requirements to use google slides, it's just by far the most common around these parts, and imho significantly better than google draw for this sort of stuff.
Yeah, but I see the ease of having marching order and tokens on one slide and the maps and pictures on others... So I will fiddle with it and figure out what works best!

I'm also considering running PbP games. I want to experience a PbP that's more than just a bounty in terms of length before I do so. Hopefully someone will run a Quest or Scenario soon for low-level characters

Pathfinder Society Intro: Year of Boundless Wonder
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.
For this game I prefer low tier as requested.
Wonder abounds! The Pathfinder Society's vaults have suddenly recieved a huge treasure trove of precious items from around the world and beyond. Much remains mysterious about these objects, from their origins to the reason the trove's original owner was so desperate to be rid of it. A group of novice agents has the opportunity to explore the troves' wonders for themselves, but not all is as it seems. After being drawn into an otherworldly realm, they must use their wits and fight to escape with their lives!
Intro: Year of Boundless Wonder is the introduction to the plot of the Year of Boundless Wonder. This scenario presents treasures, characters, and themes that will feature in Year 4's metaplot, and so it is is a natural starting point for players looking to jump into the action.
