A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–4 (subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).

From a ruined theater in the run-down Puddles district of Absalom, a goblin hero and self-styled king rules over the nearby goblins. Shifting foundations beneath the playhouse have revealed ruins from Absalom's early history, and the goblin king has put out a call for explorers to search the area and clear out its dangers. The Pathfinder Society has answered the call. They aren't the only group that is interested, however, and they must prove themselves to earn the right to enter these lost chambers.

Fast and Fun

5/5

This one seemed to move quick for the group I ran for (home game) but everyone seemed to enjoy it. I think some of the lore stuff is kind of hard to figure out as a player as written, but I appreciate there was an explanation for everything that I could have expanded out on if the players seemed interested. I wasn't sure how the play part would go, but it was a pretty funny scene.

So much win in this

5/5

I loved this. So much fun on so many levels. You get things for roleplayers and rollplayers. Acting out a play, exploring a sewer, dealing with mercenaries with varied options, and getting moral choices at the end, yes please more.

Loved the stories and lore of this and I felt I always had something to do as a player and later as a GM. Getting people into the swing of it is so much fun.

Stats at the end for a possible end monster were incorrect in the original print so be aware of that. But I've never had any people want to fight him as they get moral choices to face and that's a great challenge for players that really want to stretch their characters.

Any Scenario that gets my players singing is awesome

5/5

This scenario was so much fun! I was afraid the more "serious" and "anti-goblin" players would hate this scenario, but they were just as on board with acting out the play and helping the goblins out as our actual goblin players!

What I loved best was how all the challenges were part of a sequential and logical order that all interlocked in a way that didn't make the scenario feel disjointed. The adventurers were a great touch in bridging having to challenge someone to get the goblin's attention and having a humanoid combat in the sewers without it just being "suddenly cultists!" or "suddenly rats!" Even the gator played an important story role...and can we talk about the ghoul?

The use of a (often) non-hostile undead was fabulous. Honestly, I love this story so much that I hope we get a return because this is one of the best written uses of a "wish" I've seen in Pathfinder Society.

If I had to criticize this scenario? The flip-mat used for the dungeon was a solid choice, but it was awfully big for how irrelevant most of the rooms were. This isn't really a major complaint (notice this is still a 5-star review), and I highly recommend this scenario to everyone!

a Must for PF 2 scenario - Have fun in Court!

5/5

So, I have GMed hundreds of PF 1 games. I love the lore, the story, world etc.
But this scenario is the first one in a very long time where I had pure joy running it. The character interactions are amazing, it flows so well. I personally love the direction the scenarios take. There is much more flow and it seems goals to keep people engaged and on toes and laughing (at least for me) with this ruleset and writing/design.

If you haven’t played this, please do so. If you haven’t ran in – I think you will have a blast! It helps having We be goblin Art as well! So I cant figure out how to format the spoiler tag – But the part you need to do to prove yourself to the Hero King – I printed out 6 copies of it and I put a number by it so a player would know their turn. It went so well!

Thank you and keep it up!

Best 2E PFS scenario yet

5/5

To the author who decided to include acting out a play in a scenario: Hats off to you!

It's a good mix of combat, exploration, and history into Absalom, which gives it a 4/5 rating I'd say. The play just takes it over the top.

Should be Pathfinder Society Scenario?

Quests are the adventures that are meant to last one hour.

Yes. But the product title is Pathfinder Society Scenario 1-07, while the description calls it a quest.

Oh didn't notice that. Yeah, thats weird.

Any word on the maps needed for this scenario? Mostly, I am curious if the adventure will have a custom map that I need to print out and laminate?

Stat Block Typo:

Marcon's stats in Subtier 3-4 list his AC as 35. It should be 19, as on Page 24.

Kinda sad that:
We didn't get either of boons because we figured out to leave the ghoul in the room and return later with tax officials :'D We did get the full story out of him and everything, but wasn't sure on if it was safe to let guy out of the room

Should have remembered that "let's come back later" is never the correct option in scenarios xD

I ran this twice at pax unplugged and got credit for it twice. Is that supposed to happen

Just for fun, and since we have it, we used Flip-Mat Theater and some pawns for the first task. It added some suspense, because players think, "Flipmat + pawns = Combat!"

Also, page 8, Undermining the Opposition, skill check should not be Bluff.

Is there still a forum post for listing editing/typos?

Is there a chance that anybody will run this online in the weeks to come anywhere in the world? This is the first P2 scenario I'm going to miss since I can't attend my live group session, and I'd really like to play it. If there's a place on these Forums where one could apply for an online slot, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
