When Anody scoots away, screaming for help, Boz looks puzzled. Why gnome fixy guy run? Make boz work more. Come back here so Boz can eat and kill you. Never tasted gnome. Then he gets hit by Valia.
Boz smiles, a terrifying sight with blood streaming down his face. To your shock you can see his flesh healing in front of you.
Me Like Pain! Smash you Elf! Eaten lots of elfs and humys and ratmen. You spoil boz meal!
He strikes at Valia while moving five feet. He seems to have forgotten creik, or at least isn't interested right now.

Sharae of the River |

GM - has Boz acted this turn? He made an AoO but don't think I have seen his normal actions? Obviously quite happy for him to delay if he wishes ;)

Sharae of the River |

…it is sometimes the better thing to end the fight quickly rather than to bolster failing allies…
Fretting at the ferocity of the orc’s attacks, Sharae moves past Ayla and touches Valia on the shoulder, ”May Desna’s fortune be your own”
Sharae casts Bit of Luck on Valia – any time Valia rolls a d20 this round, he may roll 2d20 and take better result

Criek Prisil |

Huddled against the wall behind Boz Cornered! -- must get out!, Criek attempts to slip past the brute.
Can I 5-foot-step diagonally through the door to the west? If not, I'll try a tumble.
Acrobatics, avoid AOO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Crieks bomb catches him in the face. Through the flame, you see him look confused. Then his head literally explodes. Despite this his body keeps fighting...

”Now… this ‘Elevator’ Professor? Is it working? Time, I think, to introduce ourselves to these so-called ‘Lords of Rust’ properly”

chillblame |

Anody jury rigs the elevator. It is ready to work once, but needs to be fixed again once you have reached your destination.
It is obvious now that Boz had sabotaged the elevator by pulling wires out. Then he waited to target the repairer. Not a bad idea, but obviously not his.
Actions? Preparations?

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

I'm pretty sure we're going to be heading into a fight. Everybody ready?
Anody will try to keep quiet and unobtrusive when the door opens on the Engineering level.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Sharae of the River |

Sharae tries to relax as the ‘Elevator’ goes up… or down… or whatever it is doing. Yet, as the elevator finally slows down, she realises she has been holding her starknife so tightly she has cut her fingers..
Will all of the doors (N, E, S and W) that led to the Elevator be available when we arrive at the new level? Or will we have less options?

chillblame |

I'm baack. Quicker to resolve than I thought
The elevator ascends smoothly and you marvel at a technology that functions so well after so long.
Genni says We are approaching engineering. I am downloading a copy of the deck map to your tablet Anody. Of course I cannot detail conditions currently in play on the deck as I have no sensor data.
Then you arrive.

chillblame |

The doors of the elevator slide open. A cloying, animalistic stink fills the air of this hemispherical room. To the north and south, curved ramps lead up to hallways leading out of the room, while several doors sit in the east wall. Flickering lights flash and strobe on the ceiling, and the gray metal walls are scorched, dented, and partially broken in places, exposing colorful wires or metallic struts within. six mounds of rubble, cloth, and bones lie scattered about the room.
The whole area also vibrates with power, and a constant, low thundering noise can be heard.
NB. This room has dim lighting conditions, so there is a 20% miss chance unless you have low light or dark vision. Also due to the constant noise, there is a -5 to all hearing perception rolls
Genni says this was a security check point. The crash damage here looks extensive. Be wary of structural stability.
At the point you hear a loud series of growls and barks as six dog like figures emerge to confront you.

Sharae of the River |

"Any chance those things are friendly do you think?"
Sharae readies herself, unwilling to attack the animals unless they attack first....
Sharae, readied action, Starknife vs any hostile creature within reach: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 for 1d4 ⇒ 2

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

Oh dear I highly doubt it. These are native to our world so I can only surmise that these are guard animals used by the lords of rust and unless we have some way of calming and befriending animals they are going to attack

Readied Action to Starknife any enemy that moves into melee range

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

Ceasing his lecture Anody says I believe that they would go back to their masters. I am not learned in tactical matters but should we not pursue? They should lead us to the people we are pursuing and the route they take should be free of traps and such Anody opines.

Criek Prisil |

Stepping forward to watch the creatures retreat to their burrows, then looking to Anody hopefully, "I've no wish to slaughter these beasts unnecessarily--do you think the fear of fire will be enough to keep them from attacking us again?"
Assuming we have a moment to catch our breath:
"Genni, I assume the Reactor is in the large room at the far end of this floor, through all the double doors? What should we expect in the rooms between here and there? Er, under normal operating conditions, that is? Are there any (shudder) Biolocks or other hazards on the various paths between here and there?"

Sharae of the River |

"I wonder whether they were set as a sort of a guard dog? I agree with Criek though, it would be a poor thing to attack a beast in such a way... Which way then?"

chillblame |

The thylacines cring if you approach, and seem badly burned. The fight seems to have been (ahem] burnt out of them. If you wish to kill them, at hit by a missile weapon would be the safest.
The fastest way to the reactor is the centre doorway. The others lesd to support rooms. The map shows alternative access points. gennie says

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

Well no reason not to take the direct route I think. Anody says peeking into the main room. Where would we go to fix the security cameras Genni?
