Background Info:
Ayla was born in Torch, and was born under a rare event in the heavens. At first her parents thought she was quarter elf, but as time went on it became clear that Ayla inherited more of her mother's celestial heritage.
As Ayla grew up she took up learning to fight from her father with his favorite weapon, the Nodachi, which he learned to weld and make from his adoptive family. But Ayla's celestial heritage also called her to learn clerical training from her mother.
These to different sets of training push Ayla onto the path of a warpriestess. She grew up helping her family and playing with her siblings and other children. And when she got old enough she helped in the Forge, defending Torch, and healing it's people.

History: Born in the Lands of the Linnorn Kings just after a raid from Irrisen, and one of the few surviors of the raid.
He was adopted by a tian-ulfen couple who raised him as one of their own children.
In his late teens he set out to see the world and ended up in Lastwall hired as an adventurer.
After a good 8 years of fighting he got sick of it and decided to find someplace a little more peaceful, relaxed and where he could settle down.
As luck would have it, he met a fine single motherly lady in the same caravan as him and fell in love with her. Balmung courted her during the trip and a while after settling into Torch.
A bit later and they were married and bought a nice house in Torch, where he could apply his skill as a blacksmith, weapon smith, and armour smith.
Over the course of 10 years Balmung and Astrid had 8 children all daughters.
He hoped for a son to take over and learn the way of a smith, though he was happy that a few of his daughters could work a forge and produce fine metal art unlike any other.

As the years went by she cared for the orphans in Scoutwall near Lastwall from the fighting with the orcs of Belkzen. When she was twenty An Orc raid destroyed Scoutwall.

She was among the few that survived the raid, before re-enforcements came and wiped out the orc raiding party.
Her experience of the event scarred her some and she could not live in scoutwall anymore and decided to move somewhere else.
It was on her trip that she meet Balmung, and took a liking to him. He courted her during the trip and a while after settling into Torch.
A bit later and they were married and bought a nice house. Astrid also opened a small Kirk in Torch.
Over the course of 10 years Balmung and Astrid had 8 children all daughters.
Astrid taught her children and any orphans of Torch who wanted it, clerical training.
