It appears that we are returning whatever bodies we find to the safety of the beach to be taken back to town on our way out, but intend on continuing eastward.
After assisting the others in ensuring Parda's body is safely hidden away for the time being, he continues eastward, making his way around the stalagmites with some difficulty.
Perception check for southern passage and A4: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Sharae of the River |

I believe the consensus is to store the body at the beach (and move it back through the tunnel at a future time) and to proceed east
Moving cautiously through the stalagmites, Sharae's shining starknife sets jagged angles of shadow and light across the walls of the cavern. With her voice little more than a whisper, Sharae asks, "What do you see Ardash?"

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

From the middle of the pack Anody helps as much as he can by keeping his eyes peeled.
Perception aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Does anyone know anything about these murderous thugs?

chillblame |

The party enters a cavern. A placid pool of water laps a rocky shore, which is covered in toadstools and dark mold. Above the ceiling reaches twenty feet, and the roof is covered in stalactites. A passage leads south (pls see map.)
for no particular reason: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Perception checks please

Sharae of the River |

"It is a quite lovely tune...it reminds me of a song the farming folk sing further downriver...celebrating the harvest and the passage of the seasons"...surveying the area they find themselves in..."Careful, a beach with flowing water is where we encountered those beetles...maybe there will be more here"

R-66Y |

Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 ⇒ 2
After spotting the creature, he yells back to the others, "There is a large amphibian in the water, what appears to be a frog, and it is heading our way. Prepare yourselves!"
Due to his injuries, Ardash is hesitant to move into melee with the creature. He draws his shortbow, loosing an arrow when the opportunity presents itself.
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Criek Prisil |

At Ardash's alarm, Criek stops short, grasping reflexively at his bandolier for a bomb and scanning the water for the threat.

Sharae of the River |

Standing poised to attack, Sharae whispers to the Professor, "Do you see it? Does it think us an enemy?"
"Hold you arrow until we know it to be hostile Ardash...we have no friends down here...let us not make more enemies unnecessarily"

chillblame |

Ok, due to the alert android, the party is not surprised be the creature as it crawls ashore.
I will give a chance for anody to respond, then continue.
BTW R6, as it crawls out you get a clear shot. Do you take it?

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

My word, I think that is a blindheim, never thought I'd ever see one of those. It can be very dangerous and very hardy but it shouldn't attack us unless it feels threatened. I'd suggest careful retreat into the other tunnel

Sharae of the River |

"I agree, let's leave this wretched beast alone...those scars are testimony to a poor existence...let us not further worsen it's lot", looking around, "This seems like a dead end anyway"
Unless the Blindheim or party members initiate combat, Sharae will retreat back to the junction heading southwards

R-66Y |

"If you feel this creature is not a threat to us, then I agree. Let us move on." Ardash relaxes his draw on his bow, but keeps the arrow knocked and moves to regard the southern passage. In passing, he briefly glances down the waterway to the west of where the Blindheim lurks. The northwestern most area obscured on the map.
Perception on the western waterway: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Perception on the southern passage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Criek Prisil |

Criek keeps his distance from the creature, but studies it in curiosity for a moment before following Ardash. "A poor existence indeed. And, the collar -- do they normally decorate themselves, or has something been keeping this one as a...a pet?"

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

From what I know they have been known to wear loincloths and such. A collar does seem unusual but alas unless one of us can speak with animals we won't be able to communicate with it Anody says as he keeps backing up.

Sharae of the River |

"One does not whip a pet...if that collar was put on it by someone or something else, I would think it more likely the wretch as a slave or a servant than a pet", Sharae suggests, "In any case, it appears to be free now so let us not terrorise it any further".
As if to underline her assuredness that the creature does not pose a threat, Sharae relaxes her stance and, turning on her heel, walks back to the junction.

chillblame |

Sorry, but this happened as the beast emerged, before you looked away. That was my fault as i couldn't update the situation due to personal issues. So any one who specifically said they were turning away does not need to save. The only two who said this were R6 and Sharee. Your character for example was "backing up. As yet only Sharee and r6 have placed themselves on the map, so I can only assume location. All of you were looking at the beastie, so you are in line of sight. I will place your characters for now, based on what I understand of your characters actions, but if you could place your characters in future it will help
Also to the south is a corridor, little more.

Anody Gearon, Prof. |

Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Gahhh! Anody shouts stumbling back from the blast Move back 10 feet I should have warned of that. Blindheim's use the light blast to disorient predators and flee from them. This one is acting unusually aggressive however so it's probably setting up an attack, watch out for its bite and its claws as those are its means of actually causing damage Anody reverts back to lecture mode as he retreats Start one round of Naturalist again. Same bonuses as before
+1 insight bonus to AC, attack rolls and saving throws

R-66Y |

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Ardash whips around as the burst of light casts his shadow across the cavern walls. With his arrow still knocked, he takes a bead on the frog and looses.
Shortbow attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Sharae of the River |

Sharae, Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Sharae turns and, raising her Starknife, prepares to throw.
Sharae, readied action (if she is higher initiative than Blindheim) to throw Starknife at Blindheim if it attacks anyone or (if she is lower initiative than Blindheim) throw Starknife at Blindheim (if it has attacked anyone on its turn): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18, 1d4 ⇒ 1 if it hits
We would have left you in peace....what's been done to you?

Criek Prisil |

fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Criek squints into the burst of light, barely affected after experience staring into many a chemical reaction.
init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

chillblame |

Note for those blinded, You lose any dex or dodge bonuses. She also is -2 to her AC and has a 50% miss chance. Also acrobatics 10 to not fall if you movemore than half movement.
Sharee, looking at the map, you do not have line of sight to the blindheim. Also it is in combat, so a minus 4 to hit. do you wish to move?
R6, the blindheim has cover to you (+4 AC) if you shoot from your location, and it is in combat (-4 to hit. Do you wish to move?

R-66Y |

In that case, Ardash would drop his bow, move to the square to the west of the blindheim, avoiding AoO, drawing his greatsword as he does so, and power attack the creature.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 4) + 7 = 12
Crit?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 6) + 7 = 15

Criek Prisil |

Seeing his companions stepping into combat, Criek maintains the presence of mind to not launch bombs at them, instead removing his cloak and attempting to throw it over the creature's head to prevent further blinding.
gonna need some adjudication on that. if I can move and do that, I'll go north to the space 2 west of the critter, otherwise, from here. presumably it has cover, and maybe a range increment from here.
cloak! ranged touch w/ throw anything, point blank, into melee: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 6
okay, no, don't think you need to worry about it...
