Hey guys! I just got back from an ill-timed hospital visit (I could not access a computer while I was there). I will be catching up on things and making substantive posts to all my games this evening.

You'd think I'd eventually learn the spellings of all these made up names, but apparently I don't (without looking them up).

Hah. I think I've had to look up Charivia's name every time I've tried to talk to or reference her, so I sympathize.

I've only had to do it for one character. :)

To all my games :

You may have noticed I've been iffy responding since Thursday the 4th. My wife is having surgery (again) Wednesday. Her mother was supposed to fly in to help, but she had an emergency Thursday and ended up having a minor surgery Friday. So I've been canceling work trips, and generally doing all the stuff she was supposed to be here doing. I'll continue to be iffy this week. Sorry. Will hopefully be more consistent week after next.

Sorry everyone, life's been hitting me hard recently, and I've had a severe lack of energy when I've not been working or travelling. Every other week I spend about 20 hours on planes or in airports (sunday and thursday, 9 hours up and 13 hours back). On top of that, all the family stuff has taken a toll. Plus, my wife is working from home now, so when I'm home, she's working 11 to 8 and I'm working 8 to 4:30, makes it very complicated. Nothing like seeing your wife 24 a day or 0 a day depending on the week to make things topsy turvy. I'm finally getting used to it though, and I hope to be back to normal posting going forward (with occasional lapses from exhaustion).

It's okay, take care of what you need to.

In other news, I will be on a business trip from Monday through Wednesday. I might have time to post updates, and I might not (I'm not sure). I'll be back Thursday.

More health issues now, but different and not nearly as bad as two months ago. I ought to be up and functioning again in the next couple days.

Hrmph, well, that fight actually went quite a bit faster than I expected (at least in terms of rounds). On the other hand, this entire expedition has gone on longer than I anticipated. Almost time to wrap this segment up, finally.

I'm not out of the woods yet, but there is an end to this crisis in sight. I will almost certainly have things cleared up by this coming Saturday. Until then, my posting will be irregular at best.

If you are all still in favor of trying to recruit more players, I'm still up for doing another recruitment once you get out of the Starlight Tomb (hopefully some time in May at the latest.)

As long as you are ok to in RL, I'm good with recruiting. I'd start just before we are about to get out of the tomb, so they can socket in easily.

Okay, I know I've been quiet lately, but here is the gist of what's happened with me:

The good news: the issue with my family has been resolved.

The other good news: a big craze of events at work has also been resolved, and in a way that is good for me. I am in a much more secure position financially than I was a week ago (or a year ago, for that matter).

The bad news: while my personal health is better, it's still not great.

The medium news: I'll be taking a few months off from work to get healthy.

The other bad news: I have to make a nine hour car drive tomorrow, during which time I won't be checking my laptop (or the Paizo.com forums), though I'll hopefully have time to post tomorrow evening.

I'll try to post an actual update to this game later tonight....

Hi there, I've been recruited by DMB to join in! I made a human divine mind who will hopefully arrive shortly.

I don't know what happened to Te'Shen, he seems to have vanished from Paizo.com completely. Last time he disappeared it was his internet trouble, but that wasn't for nearly as long.

I have sent out offers to people who submitted characters in the recruitment thread, so we should be getting an influx of new players soon, and all their PCs will be starting around Ardhmen.

If you're okay fast-fowarding, we can do that, though I'm always cautious about it because it feels like railroading.
What I anticipated happening (which we could fast-fowards through) is
--Kiana and co. deduce how to get out of the Starlight Tomb

How to get out of the Tomb:
Throw the hammer down the mouth-like pit, then jump down after it to be taken above ground. There were enough hints you could find browsing around the room/shelves that you probably would have figured it out fairly easily if you hadn't opened this spoiler box.

--Once outside, Qara contacts Kiana and explains that the Starlight Tomb blocks Sending-type effects (which was why you hadn't heard from her while you were inside). She then reveals some events that occurred in Syrkarn while you were in the Tomb (that were hinted at by some of the yuan-ti right before Anesti commanded them all to leave), and asks you to go to Ardhmen to meet up with some other people she's hired (the new PCs). I can post Qara's explanation/expositions in the main gameplay thread if you are okay fast-fowarding.
--The journey from Adar to Ardhmen was always planned on being largely uneventful (if there weren't a new recruitment and all the PCs were traveling to Ardhmen along the same route, I probably would have thrown in some minor challenges along the way, but that didn't happen.)

Eberron was the only 3.5 world I played in, so I'm definitely excited too.

And that's funny, because his creator was a Half-Orc who, somehow, came to be one of the most powerful Psions in the world. Dunno how it sounds Gnomish in origin. Maybe if he was a Warforged instead?

Yep. It's a specialization of the base Psion class. There's a bunch of others just like the Wizard has its school specialization. Was always a fan of Transmuter Wizards, so I went with Shaper Psion, since it's essentially the same concept.
