I'm unfamiliar with Divine Mind.
I thought Shaper was more like a Conjurer, with the summon-like Astral Construct power?
I'll be playing a Cryptic, so be prepared for Knowledge skills, a little unhinged-brain-flavor, and my main means of attack is a 30ft ray.
It does have that power, to create an Astral Construct. And it's pretty good at it with the right feats. But you can also make crap out of ectoplasm to either enhance the Psion in small ways, or grant boons to the party (Touchsight, for example).
But yeah, I guess the Shaper would be the closest thing to a Conjurer Wizard, with smattering of Transmutation from the ecto-crafting mixed in.

I'm quite cognisant of the fact that there are five new players (Lore, Shatter, Pierce, Tawk and Atsu) in a game that at last count had two - which is a significant change.
Saying hi to Kiana and Helac.:)

The divine mind is essentially a psychic pseudo-paladin. It is largely considered an under-par class even by 3.5e standards, so I'm kinda fighting an uphill battle, but it is thematically what I wanted the character to be.
There is a link in the character's profile to the divine mind class, so you can check it out.

A bit under par but I always liked the flavor of the class.

My player is severely work overwhelmed. When they are back to being whelmed instead of overwhelmed, they will post more frequently.

Hey guys! I had an accident and ended up in the hospital...again, for the second time in one year:(
I'm out now...I don't really want to talk about it. Since it appears everyone else is here, let's start the game.
That sucks, glad you are well.

Ok, so if Kiana has 4000 to play with, she'll look for the following :
1) Find a Mage or Psion to enchant/enhance her bow to +1. (2,000gp)
2) Find a Cartographer's Kit (Mapmaker's Kit) (10gp)
This small kit contains a simple slate with a grid carved into its surface and a number of differently colored pieces of chalk. If you use this kit to draw a map as you travel, you receive a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival skill checks to avoid becoming lost.
3) Find an Efficient Quiver (1,800gp)
4) Find a wood crafter to make her 6 3" diameter bamboo containers, each six feet long, with caps. (Please provide price, shouldn't be more than a couple of GP each I would think), and after filling them with arrows (see below) put them all in the efficient quiver's bow compartment.
5) Buy 60 of the each of the following Arrows :
Standard Hunting Arrows 3 gp
Barbed arrows 6 gp
Blunt arrows 6 gp
Flight arrows 6 gp
Pronged arrows 6 gp
Whistling arrows 6 gp
6) Buy 10 of each of the following Arrows :
Thistle arrows 10 gp
7) Buy 5 of each of the following Arrows :
Dye Arrows 5 gp
8) Buy 2 of each of the following Arrows :
Incindiary Arrows 20 gp
Smoke arrow 20 gp
Total Spent : 3,898 (Plus whatever the cost of the tubes is). If it's more than 2GP, Kiana has 42 GP she hasn't spent.
Her standard 60 arrow load out is :
Standard Hunting Arrows 30
Barbed arrows 2
Blunt arrows 14
Flight arrows 2
Pronged arrows 2
Whistling arrows 2
Thistle arrows 2
Dye Arrows 2
Incindiary Arrows 2
Smoke arrow 2

Good luck with the surgery.

Tomorrow I will be traveling outside the US on vacation and will return on October 6th. During such time, I will likely be very sparing on the boards, and I imagine connectivity may be an issue. Please bot me as necessary. I will still try to get some posts in or at least keep up with games while in my hotel, if wifi-allows.

To all my games : My father injured himself again Friday, and I have to go to Louisiana next week to deal with the aftermath. My ability to post will be spotty at best. My apologies in advance.
| Kiana Sunbane |
Sorry everyone, last week was busy. Got back late friday night, slept through the weekend, and then got hammered Monday at work because nobody could do anything without me last week. *sigh* I'll be caught back up by this weekend and normal posting will resume.

I do hope Oceanshieldwolf is okay in real life....
Agreed he is missing from a game I am running as well. The second long time player of mine that happened to recently :-(
Not knowing is the worst part!

To all my games:
Thanksgiving weekend plus some unexpected overtime yesterday has caused me to fall behind. I'm trying to catch up now...
Correct, but I wasn't sure if it is a legitimate option. All the spell says is a small elemental
The 3.5 versions of the summoning spells which allow you to summon elementals specify that it is "any" elemental of that size (the lowest 3.5 SM which allows for an elemental is SMIII--Paizo went out of their way to buff summon lists). However, I usually interpret it to mean only elementals from the Monster Manual I (i.e., fire, water, earth, and air). The reason being that aside from the elementals, summoning spells don't have their lists expanded with each new book (as opposed to calling spells, which become more versatile with every monster book.)
The Pathfinder version is even less clear, as usual. I think I'll go with the way I run it for 3.5: a 'small elemental' from a summoning spell means you can choose between any small elemental in the Bestiary I, so Magma Elementals are not allowed.
