Mosquito Witch Handouts

Arxus continues flailing his sword around although no visible threat remains. Everyone looks at him funnily.

The enemy is stabilized by the team, and they do find on the body signs that they belong to the Aspis consortium. On the body, you find several gear, weapons, armor, but what catches your eye is a potion of cure light wounds, and another potion of cure moderate wounds.
Assume they have masterwork quality of common weapons. NO magic detected. How do you get the vase?

Ooh! This is the day after the pub brawl!

"Be ready to catch the chain, wise Grippli. Archer, prepare to catch the cage should he lose his grasp."

Arxus tilts his head back, and aiming his voice directly at the links of the chain (and not the cage or the vase). Casts (as a Spell-Like Ability) ' Shatter.'

As long as the chain (or a specific load-bearing link) weighs less than 40 lbs: it is sundered.

Cage is 8 feet up in the air per original post, but going to help move things along.

Arxus shatters the chain holding the chain up, as the rest of the pathfinders catch and secure the loot as it falls from the air. They break open the cage to retrieve the vase from within.

Sealed with a wax-coated cork, the vase contains a number of red paper envelopes, each embossed with an elaborate hand-painted print of a jade phoenix. The envelope holds a folded invitation to attend a performance of a traditional opera from Lung Wa entitled Dawn of the Jade Phoenix, to be held at a small theater in the Foreign Quarter.

After dinner with his companions, and some speculation of what these invitations will lead to, Arxus retires to his room. He begins to treat his blades with oils and a whetstone. Whetstone on his Adamantine bastard sword, cold iron longsword, and silver longsword. He treats and sharpens his blades while reciting Iomedaen devotionals.

"This is my sword. Without my heart to guide it, it is worthless - my strength is not in my sword, but in my heart. If I lose my sword, I have lost a tool. If I betray my heart, I have died."

Then Arxus will lay his Adamantine sword, his shield, and his armored coat near his bed.

Melea lays her bow, quiver, and backpack at the foot of her bed, retiring in a simple, if rather utilitarian, shift, as well as her light armor. While not the most comfortable, she decides it is the most balanced option, should a fight break out, and it is her suspicion one likely will. Galilah dozes lightly at the foot of her bed, or on top of the sheets, depending on an almost random-seeming set of preferences. Upon her turn at the watch, she dresses quickly and patiently stands guard, bow drawn, until relieved by the next teammate.

After a long day, the pathfinder's retires to the room to sleep as Arxus takes the first watch.

Everyone is asleep and you should be undressed in a way that you get a full's rest, meaning no heavy/medium armors for most folk. To keep things spicy, was thinking of keeping the game in spoilers for those awake, those sleeping maintain obliviousness to the happenings outside. But it's up for debate. This part will be tricky so bear with me.
