How would I go about trying to find my expended bullets?

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

Calephe- 2 hp, conscious

Recovering expended ammunition:
Unlike Calephe's shuriken in the cave, sling bullets (and arrows/crossbow bolts) across an open field are a bit different. First I will explain the rules, then why Calephe is a bit different. There is no hard PFS ruling on recovering ammunition. There are however, a few disparate rulings that put together give a few guidelines for this situation.

First, is that if the ammunition hits, it is considered destroyed. The second is that players generally have a 50% chance of recovering expended ammunition that missed. If you so desire, I will allow you to roll a d100 for each missile fired (but missed) to determine if it is recoverable. 1-50 means no, 51-100 means you found it and it is in good enough shape to recover.

Second, the reason that yall and Calephe are different is that thrown weapons fall under different rules than ammunition. As such, thrown weapons are considered recoverable, while ammunition is a maybe.

Let me reiterate that this is my ruling, and there is no hard and fast source to point to. Each GM that you play for may have a different interpretation of these rules and allow different things. The other thing that I took into account is that Calephe's shuriken were thrown inside a cave at short range. I don't know if any of you have tried to find an arrow in the middle of a field as opposed to a throwing knife in a relatively contained area, but there is an order of magnitude difference!!

Tellerin reaches Janira to find her still unconscious. She has many wounds, and although she is no longer losing blood her condition is dire indeed. Davorin approaches, and once everyone is able to receive his blessings, he calls upon the gods for healing. They respond, albeit weakly.

Edit for Sources and an incorrect ruling:
Ammunition:Generally speaking, ammunition that hits its target is destroyed or rendered useless, while ammunition that misses has a 50% chance of being destroyed or lost.
However, it seems that the next line proves me wrong about Shuriken. Per the PRD: shuriken are treated as ammunition for the purposes of what happens to them after they are thrown. retconning this from the cave would be problematic, but I will certainly remember this for the future, and include Calephe in recovering her expended Shuriken from this fight if she so desires.

As the team gets Janira onto her feet and moves back towards the cave mouth, she questions you on your findings and the events of the day. "So what happened? What did you find in there? Even though you didn't kill the minotaur, you did drive it off. It is unlikely to come back any time soon.. it sounds like you really gave it a beating!"

She shakes her head in wonder as you retell the events inside of the mountain. "Amazing! And you spoke to the gillman too! Wonderful! You have done a wonderful job so far, but it sounds like you have left it incomplete! I appreciate you running to my aid.. I wouldn't have made it without you. But you should go back and explore that last tunnel. There is no telling what may be down there! Now, this is your Confirmation, not mine.. I will wait up here by the cave mouth. I think some sleep would be amazing right about now. But you still have a job to finish before you rest!"

"Janira, it may be our Confirmation, but its dangerous here out in the open. Especially since the minotaur got away! At least consider entering into one of the cave alcoves. Any of minotaur's friends won't be able to get in there, and we can attest that they're freshly clear of oozes. Oh! And once we're done, you'll have to tell us how you managed to escape from the minotaur for so long! I'm certain its a tale worth telling."

Tellerin turns to face the others, seemingly reenergized by seeing all his party alive and well. "I'm ready to head back in. Like Janira said, we have more to finish before we can rest."

The party returns to the caves, making their way back to the last unexplored tunnel, progressing steadily to the southwest. The cave’s damp air becomes increasingly stale as you venture down this tunnel. In addition to the staleness, the farther you go the more you begin to notice a peculiar stench of decay. A cloyingly sweet smell that normally is associated with days old meat left in the sun becomes thicker the farther you go. Finally, the tunnel opens into a cavern steeped in the odor of rot. Several stalagmites and stalactites grow in this area, and a smaller passage to the left seems to lead into another room. As you enter the outer chamber, you hear a dry rustling and cracking coming from the next chamber!

Eyeing the skeletons as they rush forward, Hskoro smiles at them. "Make you dust!" He swings his warhammer at the skeleton directly in front of him.

Calephe, unfortunately critical hits don't work on undead.

@ Hskoro you can reroll that attack, I gave you bit of luck you get to re-roll all d20 rolls this round sorry I did not specify.

@ GM, Yeah, no I am just a moron I'll fix it now, thanks for pointing it out. P.S. very funny on the wet dwarf comment :P

I'll be checking back tomorrow morning before Dolvin acts to give Tellerin and Rashid their actions before he goes again.

Tellerin recoils at the sight of the undead creatures. "Undead, here? Why? Why would someone put undead into these caves?" His face contorts with disgust.

Though clearly tired out, Tellerin draws himself up and rubs his arms. After a few abortive sparks, the tattoos glow with energy and he directs it towards a skeleton in the back (red).

I assume they have cover against me, but since it adds to AC, I haven't made any deductions to my roll

Hskoro swings and it looks like he misses.. as Dolvin said, you may reroll if you wish.
While Tellerin throws out a ray of fire. Unfortunately, his weariness is affecting his aim, and the ray just barely misses.

"Have you faced undead before?" Dolvin asks Calephe before turning back to the threat. He reaches to pull out his aspergillum but remembers his swim from earlier and doubts that there is any holy water left in it. he instead grabs his symbol of Desna and holds it out in front of him. "Begone from this place," Dolvin yells as the power of his goddess is channeled through the symbol and flashes down the corridor at the skeletons.

"No but I've heard things at the pub about how to deal with skeletons."

I figure the channel and the blunt thing is something every adventurer would know given the amount of undead Pathfinders face, I'm sure someone in a pub somewhere must have mentioned it.

Rashid sees that he has no room to engage in melee, and so he pulls out his sling and loads it.

Calephe: While I tend to agree with you on this, I would still offer a bit of caution against this at a PFS table. Some GM's I have met on here get extremely prickly about situations like this. In this case, yea.. you're right, which is why I didn't bother with a K. roll spoiler for yall. But other GM's may not see it that way. And.. looking over my posts, why I even forgot to list it under Dolvin's spoiler!! Dolvin: That is certainly something you would have known with your roll!

Hskoro's swing is still a miss, despite the godly influence on his weapon.

Dolvin channels out the power of his god, and although the first and last skeleton manage to shrug off the worst of it, the middle one explodes under the holy assault.

Rashid pulls his sling and loads it, waiting for a good target.

The last skeleton moves in on Dolvin, and both skeletons continue their assault! This time, Dolvin comes back shaking blood from a deep wound!

Tellerin hides behind Dolvin, clearly shying away from these creatures. His hands tremble and eyes dart to avoid looking at them. Regardless he sends another ray of fire at them.

Way too tight quarters, but here goes nothing. Rashid launches his sling bullet at the bony menace he can see on the other side of Hskoro green. Missing I think, he loads up another bullet.

In the confined space of the tunnel his spear is of little use. Instead of trying to use it Dolvin drops the thing and pulls out his aspergillum. "I wish I had not gone swimming, this thing would be of much greater use full of holy water." he thinks to himself.

He then reaches out with his hand and blesses Calephe , "let's finish them my friend"

Bit of Luck Calephe , I was going to post it last night but it didn't make sense me getting that action off before she did. And i fell asleep.
