Astri doesn't want to stay, just have a chat with him about the wave riders. Though she might be convinced into a threesome, maybe.

Not anymore; I'm a dead man, sadly :(
The math doesn't support any other conclusion at this point, unfortunately.

Okay, so I've given this a lot of thought, and have decided to step away from this particular game. I don't know exactly when, but the wind has left my proverbial sails for this character, and I don't want to detract from this game with lackluster motivation, nor do I want to bring down my other games with time spent here on unmotivated posting on my part. That time could be spent better elsewhere.
Loved the speed and pace of the game, kudos to those involved in keeping it relatively refreshed on a daily basis.
Feel free to use Darius as an NPC, Baldwin. I will post his full stats here in a spoiler for you to use. Please mark me as inactive in the campaign tab as well.
Thank you all for the time and the opportunity.

Sorry to see you go darius.
Well crap. I just lost my sparring partner AND we lost our Fighter.
I vote new player. Must be a beatstick of some kind.
This group would rock with a tank to anchor off....
I know a few people if DM and group want someone
Astrianna Sparacello |
Aw goodbye Darius, you will be missed.
Bri he hit it and quit it... Don't blame yourself! Not that a sexual performance enchancing item would be bad. Especially if you got two.
I also know a player that might be interested. They applied originally but did not have time to finish a character during recruitment due to real life issues.
David "Dirk" Hawkins |
Apologies, all.
I really enjoyed the game a lot and I enjoyed playing with you all.
I'm disappointed I am not able to play anymore and I'm truly sorry that my character compromised anyone's enjoyment of the game; that certainly wasn't my intention.
Please have fun and I hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign.
Astrianna Sparacello |
Wow that was quick. I hope they use a two-bladed sword, simply because I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually use one.
Astrianna Sparacello |
Yay! I'm interested to meet the owner... Astri is going to be buttering him up for big fat helping of bardic knowledge.
Gerard Nisroc |
Oh, Joy! :)
Hi folks, incoming!
It's nice of Baldwin to assemble a crew for this privateer! Figured you guys/gals (real or imagined) could use a Human.
If you know me, he's going to be the "un-cola". Fighter/Rogue, but probably not what you'd expect, so get ready to get your Buff on!
Will try to finish him up ASAP. My goal is to draw attacks (while not being hit) and to deal consistent damage (through hitting and a decent amount of bonus damage). I think that's the definition of tanking.
But, he's not a big beefy slab o'meat.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Gerard

Hmm... Going pure Warrior/Fighter, melee variety.
10, 20, 14, 10, 12, 10
AC: 22
HP: : 10 + 10 + 4d10 + 12 + 6 + 6 ⇒ 10 + 10 + (2, 3, 6, 3) + 12 + 6 + 6 = 58 , that blows. Sorry folks, tried everything I could. 14 outta 40 for 3.5 avg (less than a Wizard).
Scimitar +14/+9 (1d6+9, 18-20/x2), always keep a spare!
Human Toughness
Character 1 Weapon Finesse
Character 3 Weapon Focus (scimitar)
Character 5 Dervish Dance (use Dex to Hit/Damage)
Fighter 1 Dodge
Fighter 2 Mobility
Fighter 4 Weapon Specialization (scimitar)

Was taking a look to see if I was in line with everyone's "combat stats". Am I over optimized?
My second attack, +9 is higher than most/all.
I can work a level or three of Rogue. Can also cut Dex a little and spread the points. Not sure Baldwin's plan.
Astrianna Sparacello |
Adriel is the only one who is optimized for combat, in a magus sense. Sath and Embri are both pure caster, and I am focused on skills/ranged.
So any pure hack and slashery is probably going to outshine most of our to hit easily.
Adriel Mistleaf |
Ahoy! Gerard!
Glad to see you again.
Gerard knows me from the COT game Baldwin used to run.
I was the tank and he was Flank. ;)
Will have to be opposite roles now.
For Gerard:
Adriel is a Debuff glass cannon.
Main trick is a Rime Frostbite/Intimidate build to drop Fatigue/Entangled/Shaken on a single foe.
Besides that, the will be a mobile glass cannon. Already can fly.
Definitely not a stand their and get hit guy (will be making heavy use of Blur/Displacement)

Cool. No such thing as over optimization ;)
Might I suggest going with Lore Warden or Tactician?
Your skill points blow and none of us is very woodsy/ssurvival/soldierly.
Lore Warden would make you awesome at Combat manuveres
Or
Tactician lets you grant teamwork feats to the Party
Both grant more skills and synergise well woth a dex build.
Dawnflower Dervish is awesome too.
Gerard Nisroc |
Hey there STR Ranger, Adriel, etc, etc...
Truth be told, I tried weaving in Ranger... too complicated and Combat Styles do not fit with Dervish Dance (no shield/weapon in off hand, no two handed... leaving archery/crossbow, meh...
But, Lore Warden gives up armor training, medium armor, etc... And is relatively Int based. I actually have a Lore Warden Fauchard specialist... "Markus the Librarian". 18 strength, you'd love him.
Tactician, gives up bravery (I may need help with will saves) and gives 2 extra skill points..., meh...
Both good ideas, just not what I was imagining for the guy. Guy... MALE! LOL.
But, I do hear your cry for survival/tracking type skillset. And, have decided, I can give up "1 BAB" for up to 4 levels of Rogue (Scout). It's actually where I'd started.
So we'll start with Warrior 1/Fighter 4/Rogue 1. For 3 levels worth of extra Tactician skill points. And, an extra +1d6 damage sometimes.
Gerard Nisroc |
Gerard as an FYI you are still a 5th level character, you're just a bit stronger given your adventuring life. I think I mentioned that to someone in the recruitment thread when they were asking about feat progression and/or animal companion level.
Yes, 5th Level.
But, you still get HP/Skills from Warrior (npc) and still stack BAB/Saves from it, yes?Did I do something wrong?
Character will be Sorrin the Wayward.
Sorrin the Wayward |
You're got some serious luck with the hitpoints there.
Ah, you noticed... that's why I need to stack the bonuses. I think lifetime d20 avg roll for me (on the boards) is 7.
