This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Why did you roll for a miss chance?

Stigor is rocked by the righteous blow, his chest cavity cracked open and his beating heart is exposed, the thumping slows to a stand still.

Male human bard 7/pathfinder savant 5: 83/83 hp, Init +2, AC 24 [touch 14, flat-footed 23], Fort +10, Ref +12, Will +11; Perception +5

Was the halfling close enough that we could make a Spellcraft to ID a spell if he cast one? (Hoping to discover if he went invisible or straight-up 'ported out.)

I think because you said he was under a blur effect.

Evil GM

You and Andrea can make one at a -2 due to the distance. Euphemia is quite busy with the ogre trying to bash her head in from the other direction so I don't think she would able to see it at all. I don't think the Daniel would have been focusing on the halfling.

Derp, I did percepton instead of spellcraft, but Orsin's 33 should get it :)

Evil GM

Orsin:

Orsin your are certain it was a conjuration (teleportation) spell used, most likely teleportation or dimensional door.

Gerard from your POV, and experience as a rogue, the halfling looks like he vanished or went invisible.

RD 5: Enemy forces

Some of the swordsman who were watching the fight between Stigor and Daniel have become disheartened and have begun to break ranks. The archers and remaining giant, that were not caught in the darkness, begin to flee towards the tree and brush line.

The only enemies not rushing off, or trying to surrender are the Ogres since they are too dimwitted to realize what has happened, the archers in the darkness/silence since they don't know the battle turned, and lone swordsman east of the bug since he has not LOS to what has happened.

The rout is on.

Male Human Rogue 13 | 97/97 | AC 26/19/19 | F 8/R 16/W 7 | Init +7 | Perc +18/+22

Gerard is overcome with a strange sensation, screaming in to silence.. as if questioning his own words.

MOTHER... GERARD NISROC SEEKS AN AUDIENCE!!!. He wonders if she needed them at all.

Evil GM

I'm waiting on Euphemia's action before I conclude what the troops who have not fled do this round.

Correct along with one swordsman

F Human Witch 13 Init+4 Hp: 104/91--- AC:20 t:15 ff:16---F8//R9//W13--Perception +16

Operating on that assumption.

Euphemia squints through the pain of getting smashed and tries to cast a spell without being hit further.

Ray of Enfeeblement Concentration: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22 DC 17 fort for half of 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Strength damage

Evil GM

Ogre save:

save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

He takes half strength damage.

Evil GM

The weakened ogre tries to hit the witch,

att: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 2 = 9;damage: 2d8 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (7, 3) + 7 - 2 = 15

The last swordman swings at the bug,

longsword: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27;dam: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
longsword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14;dam: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

The ogre near Daniel attacks him,

att: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14;damage: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (2, 6) + 7 = 15

The archers in the shadows run at full pace in random directions.
Gerard gets his AOOs.

The rest of the foes have begun to surrender, break into full retreat, or flee in order to preserve their lives.

Evil GM
Andrea1 wrote:

In reading the spell, I was wrong. The spell did not reference range touch attack and it permitted a save for 1/2 damage. Since Gerard had evasion he too no damage.

"We won... we won?!" Euphemia looks on in surprise as the remaining swordsman is devoured. She turns back to Andrea and gives a happy wave. Still, she has to count heads, especially looking for the formerly-invisible Gerard.

Frank, I think we've done it!

She pets the lump in her dress. Especially when it doesn't talk back. However, she detects the even breathing that indicates the barely-alive hedgehog is taking an impromptu nap.

Marking where the bug had left her its 'treasure', she skips off to find Gerard.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Andrea hurries over to Euphemia, taking a wide detour around the feasting bug. Euphemia! How are you and Frank? I have one Lesser Restoration spell for him if you wish.

Yes folks, the hedgehog gets healed first. :3

Lesser Restore: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Andrea is clearly exhausted and pale from the effects of the poison cloud. Little bastard got away again.

F Human Witch 13 Init+4 Hp: 104/91--- AC:20 t:15 ff:16---F8//R9//W13--Perception +16

Euphemia is more than happy to proffer the exhausted, sleeping Frank to benefit from Andrea's ministrations.

"Thank you."

Evil GM

Euphemia to Gerard....I'm so happy you made it! <hugs>

Gerard: <blush and lump in throat>.
Euphemia - Do you mind <bat eyelashes> to me a teensy weensy little favor. <touches his hand>
Gerard - Umh <clears throat> anything!
Eupphemia - can you dig in the bugs dung and find me a necklace...dear.

About 15 minutes after the retreat horn Dogtongue comes up with his hat bright red and dripping. As he approaches an old green hag appears next to him in full stride. Dimension door

Daniel continues to survey the field,
Complete the route, where is the Halfling?!

"Oh, "The Dealer" fled th'field of battle." She spits on the ground and it fizzles with the dirt.

Mother's voice is that of an old grandmother, calming and smooth. However, her face is a greenish-gray mass of wrinkles, warts, and scars beneath a mop of coarse, bark-like hair. Her eyes are dark and sagging, but lack any indication of coloration — they’re flat black orbs. She leans heavily on a large gnarled staff and wears filthy rags and dozens of bone and stone fetishes. But perhaps worst of all is the layer of maggots and crawling flies that cover her. With every step, the flies take flight, only to land on her body again whenever she comes to a rest.

She scans the faces of the heroes then stops to look at Euphemia, "My my deary have you grown up." She smiles and her wrinkled face distorts further, "You haven't visited in quite s'time. How's um...what was h's name..Frank?" She cackles which sends a chill in the air and her enormous tree shakes.

Mother of Flies, we came as soon as we could when Madjaw told us you were being attacked by the forces of the Council of Thieves. We are currently struggling against them and learned that you had dealings with the Drovanges that resulted in the birth of Eccardian and Chammady and the deaths of your coven. We seek to break their influence over Westcrown and end the Shadowcurse.
