Heads up,

My posts will be sparing for the next day. I will be flying on a trip. The trip will be mostly leisure, but I will be working via phone/laptop. As such, I will still have time to post.

If you are one of those folks that has estimated the approximate times I am typically online, I will be on at different times. Five hour time zone difference will have me signing off five hours early, but also a drastically reduced work schedule will have me begin posting much earlier.

I am going to be in transit going to visit relatives for most of tomorrow, so I may not be able to post for most of the day (and definitely not while I am on the plane).

I hadn't thought of trying to co-opt them. That could be a good idea, BC.

On the other hand, Irret might not have cleared them because she knows they're loyal to Ilyeshshi.

We could blitz them and try to leave them stable after gutting them as a public relations measure.

On the third hand, if we just walk in and say we're here to see the chief, we can see which door is the right way when a Finback goes to see his Scalyness.

Rehil's going to lean toward blitz, but if the players don't like that option I'll go along with whatever.

Have we got any magical communication options?

As you know I'm on holiday at the end of the week. As usual, I've got stuff to do at home (or more specifically, in the garden, where I bought a load of plants and need to stick them in the ground before we go on holiday, lest the heat turn them into little withered sticks in their pots by the time we get back) and to a lesser extent at work (though that is largely done). Sorry for being a bit quiet the last few days. I'm hoping to set things up properly in the games before I go away.

Pulling a Han Solo is pretty much just shooting first, right? If so, I'm not really sure what the difference is ... I mean other than how recklessly we do it.

I say strike first. We have Rehil, Nalverren and Cole acting before them. The former 2 will likely take some hits but shouldn't be much. This should probably kill at least one of them before the finbacks even get to act. If retreating back to the main group there is a risk of the enemy getting reinforcements.

Either way Aubrey rules on Cole's movement, I think we'll be in good shape. If M11 you'll have a good charging lane next turn. If O6, they've got to engage you or suffer AoO to go by.

After the lizardmen go Ashshar and Vaard can both put themselves in good position for round 2. Otto and Wultram can get into good casting position too.

The lizardmen will get their licks in this round, but round 2 could be ours.
