Gil |

Gil holds her position, crouching down to make her a smaller target. Maybe she'll move when she knows where it's hiding...
She casts See Invisibility and draws the wand of lightning bolt as she looks around for the creature and other enemies.

Two humanoid forms of shadow suddenly coagulate beside Runzyl and Lightbringer, and they reach forward with tenebrous claws. The nightwing reappears above Basher. It pauses for a moment before spreading its wings and diving towards Ezreal. Ezreal sees its wings block out the sky as it swoops.
OK, what our friend has been doing is summoning two shadows - S1 and S2. He also paused to cast Confusion on Basher before taking his move action. He purposely avoided an AoO from Runzyl, before turning towards Ez. He's now at a 15' altitude.
So, Basher's Will save DC is 19. And, resolving the shadow attacks:
S1 attacks Runzyl: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 v touch AC, damage 1d8 ⇒ 1 STR damage.
S2 attacks LB: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 v touch AC, damage 1d8 ⇒ 6 STR damage.
Oops, attack on Runzyl is a crit, so 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17 v touch AC to confirm, and 1d8 ⇒ 3 extra STR damage if it is.
Ez.

Ezreal Farlowe |

When the thing comes swooping down at him Ezreal suddenly realizes that he is standing alone on an open plane with a very powerful shadow dragon thing nearly on top of him. He ducks low and with little more than a word vanishes, only to reappear behind Lightbringer on the ground.
Dimension Door
Defensive Casting 1d20 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 6 = 21 +6 = 29 vs DC 23

3 AP remaining

Lightbringer |

Basher’s confusion result: 1d100 ⇒ 93 : Attack nearest creature. Technically the nearest creature is the shadow attacking Runzyl. So Basher would either babble incoherently, or attack someone he can reach, presumably either Bor (if he is aware of him) or Gil. GM call?

Lightbringer |

You have to keep rolling sixes for strength damage on me don’t you? Hmmm, effective strength 12, bye bye power attack.
Ha. I just realised you were rolling d8s rather than d6s for damage. So I should be thankful it wasn't worse!

Aubrey the Demented/Malformed |

Bor moves to AA AB 26-27.
"If you need to drop back, elf.....I can hold the line. You look beleagured."
I think you are a bit confused. Bor is in a building and Runzyl is in flight 60' above - as is the shadow. Also, because of his maze cunning ability (or whatever it is called) Bor can move at normal speed through the building - he only moves at half speed through the entrance and exit due to squeezing. So he gets a double move at full speed if he wants it, whereas his stated move is only about 30'. You may reconsider.
Meanwhile, we'll delay Basher's action until we resolve what Bor is doing, since Bor might turn out to be the closest to him.
And Dimension Door is not cool. It is an admission of defeat. <harrumph>

Lightbringer |

With a speed of 20 feet due to his armour, I don’t think Bor can move much further than Heath suggested – unless in my sleep deprived state I’m calculating something incorrectly, I don’t think he has enough movement to squeeze out the door. He’ll move to AA AB 25 26, just inside the doorway. Presumably then Basher will attack him, assuming that he is aware of Bor’s presence (probably, as the minotaur is not sneaking). What sort of cover bonus, if any will Bor receive from Basher attacking him through the doorway?

Lightbringer |

Ah, missed that. Ok, Bor takes a single move action to the position I described. As he does so (holding his greataxe with one hand), he draws a throwing axe as part of his movement. Then he sheathes his greataxe as a move action – reasoning that all the threats at the moment are flying and out of his reach.

Seems reasonable, and I'm sure Heathy won't mind. We'll run with this.

Befuddled by the nightwing's influence, Basher looks about wildly. As Ezreal suddenly appears near him, Basher bellows and charges.
Out of the frying pan...
Basher charges Ez. 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (16) + 13 + 2 - 3 = 28 to hit (-3 due to loss of STR), damage 1d8 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 6 + (5, 5) = 17.
Gil.

Gil |

Lightbringer |

Gil can certainly attempt a targeted dispel on the spell effecting Basher. This might not be a bad move, except if the nightwing has a very high caster level it might be difficult to achieve.
Anyway, as that’s your first thought on what to do, and as it is possible, let’s give it a go.
Gil moves to AN 10 and casts dispel magic, targeting the confusion effect on Basher. Caster Level check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Blerg. Given that the DC would presumably be at least 18 (assuming a caster level of 7), I don't think even an action point has much chance of saving that. Sorry.

Lightbringer |

Lightbringer shudders in the air as the flying shadow reaches through his armour plating and drains the strength from him. Suddenly his sword feels heavy in his hands – but not so much that he can’t wield it.
“Get out of my way,” the paladin intones, “or feel the Flame consume you.”
When no reaction is forthcoming, Lightbringer swings his sword to attack.
Swift action: choose shadow as new smite evil target. Full attack.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 4) + 12 = 21
Attack 2: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23 Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (6, 6) + 12 = 24
Attack 3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 5) + 12 = 19
Note: the first successful attack does an additional 9 points of damage (if this thing is undead - presumably this will be attack 1, bringing the damage total to 30 for that attack). If it is incorporeal, halve all damage. Attacks are magic, good and silver.

Runzyl Steelsong |

Weakened by the unexpected assault, the flying Valenar turns on his assailant and unleashes the fury of his enchanted blades.
Full attack on the shadow. Choosing the extra attack from Rod's blessing of fervor.
#1: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21 to hit, dealing 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + (4) = 11.
#2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 to hit, dealing 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (3) = 9.
#3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 to hit, dealing 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (4) = 10.
#4: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19 to hit, dealing 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5.
#5: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 to hit, dealing 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6.
Falla Caesenri is, of course, ghost touch.
Edit: #2 is a crit threat. 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 to confirm, dealing 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 extra damage if successful.

The nightwing turns quickly, dark wings flapping, and climbs towards Rolund. It lashes out, huge jaws filled with blunt teeth like tombstones, at the bone knight.
Nightwing executes a turn (Fly check 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (11) + 24 = 35 v DC 20) and climbs 45 degrees to its curent position. Current altitude 40'. It then bites Rolund.
Bite attack 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (6) + 23 = 29, damage 4d10 + 18 ⇒ (8, 4, 6, 5) + 18 = 41 plud 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 1) = 13 cold. It is hits, Rolund must make a DC 23 Will save or lose one spell effect (determined randomly if there is more than one).
Janosz.

Aubrey the Demented/Malformed |

No, it's out of reach.
Rolund's spell of flying dismissed by the nightwing's bite, he sinks rapidly into the chasm.
Rolund will go to spoilers now, unless someone purposefully wants to go to the chasm edge and look for him.
Rolund:

Janosz Frogshanks |

Only one thing to do, really. No move, full attack on the nightwing; the attacks still count as magic, good and silver.
Attack 1: 12+16+1(Haste)=AC 29, damage 2d8+6=15.
Attack 2: 12+16+1(Haste)=AC 29, damage 1d8+3=6.
Attack 3: 19!+11+1(Haste)=AC 31, confirm roll 12+6(action point)+11+1=AC 30, damage 1d8+3=9x3=27.
Attack 4 (bonus from Haste): 13+16+1(Haste)=AC 30, damage 1d8+3=6.

Ezreal Farlowe |

The shoulder and upper arm that took most of the blow are nearly numb and tingling immediately after the impact. Ezreal growls "Basher! Get a grip on your tiny brain and control yourself! I don't have time for this!" So saying he drops into a defensive stance and still holding the scroll case with one hand spreads his fingers like claws facing away from him and drags them apart shredding the enchantment on Basher.
5' to AJ-15 to avoid the need for Defensive Casting
Dispel Magic vs Confusion 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 + 5 = 27

Sir Rolund ir'Kraal |

Aubrey:
You do realize that my weapon sheds light as a torch every time I use my Death’s Bond ability similar to the Divine Bond ability.
Rolund peers around to check his surroundings and find a way out while he heals some of the injury he sustained.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19.
Swift action: lay on hands 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8.
Standard action: total defense (AC 30, touch 16, flat-footed 25).
Move action: depending if he sees an exit, Rolund will move either 40’ closer to it or 20’ if terrain is difficult.
Otherwise…
Rolund drops his sword while he retrieves his everburning torch and lets it fall on the ground. He then picks his sword up, heals some of his injuries, and takes a look around for an exit.
Free action: drop sword.
Move action: retrieve everburning torch from handy haversack. No AoO.
Free action: drop torch.
Move action: pick up sword. Yes to AoO.
Swift action: lay on hands 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8.

Rolund:
In the glow from his sword, Rolund peers about him. The bottom of the crevasse is narrow, perhaps five feet wide and running into the dark north and south. The scent of rotting flesh is strong down here. He can see no enemies in the immediate vicinity, but he can hear the sound of movement and low hoots and calls from the gloom.
He can see no obvious exits. The bottom of the chasm looks like it can be walked, albeit with difficulty, although there is no guarantee that there would be a way out that way. The sides are sloping and rough, and probably not too difficult to climb, but it would be a long ascent.
The floor of the chasm is difficult terrain. The Climb DC is 10.

Rodergo Xativa |

Bor'll use the speed option, which gives him 50 feet of movement for his move, and will get him to the door; second move action he squeezes out to AC-AD 23-24.
Rod will use the speed option, 60 feet of movement, to get to AB23.
He then casts holy smite on the nightwing 3d8 ⇒ (1, 1, 1) = 3 in damage, or 7d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 5, 4, 3, 3) = 29 to him if he's an evil outsider; and has to save wil d.c. 18 or get blinded 1 round; also, if he saves the damage is halved.
To penetrate Spell resistance:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
plus an action point 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
Beats SR 24!

Last round Bor moved to AA AB 25 26 – I don’t think Aubrey updated the map.

Contrite at attacking Ezreal, and still quite confused as to why he did so, Basher looks around for something else to fight. But everything is in the air. He waits for one of his companions to suggest something or for any enemy to come within bashing distance.
Delay.
