Raijin steps out from under the felled bull, taking a quick appraising glance at the other testees to check that they're alright then making a long slow circuit of the room, examining it closely and drying to derive just what sort of challenge this one held, and taking a specific look at the dead bull to check if it might have some use.

Observation Room:
The man in the dark suit swirls the cognac in his glass around slowly as he peers down at the testing, "Hmm, I believe that was one of mine, just an early proof of concept for the elemental infusion process."

"Well you certainly did a good job in giving it power." The commented. "But can I suggest you amp up the electrical discharge? Increasing that will give the creature a much more useful role as shock trooper." He was trying his best not to snicker.


as Raijin moves through the room and down the corridors, he makes the following assessments:
the button on the door is simply that. Probably opens that door simply by pressing on it, since nothing seems connected to it.
The three larger buttons in the corridors however appear to be mounted upon powerful steel springs, connected to the back of the corridor.

Hunter sniffs around but steps around the floor-mounted buttons, not wanting to see how far nor how fast he can be propelled across the room...


Guys, I'm feeling over committed PBP wise at the moment. This is the least plot intensive game, and one of the newest I'm in so I'm gonna withdraw. It's been interesting to see other people's characters, and thanks for the chance to play such a crazy toon. Good luck!

Karnicore falls to the ground twitching, and jerking. Within seconds its vomiting up blood. A few more moments and it's dead.

Observation Room:
"Well, Guess I messed that up somehow."

Sad. But that's definitely an appropriate way to exit the game.

By the time Eapheu makes it through the door, the bull is well in hand (so to speak), and he zips around investigating the top of the platforms (I'm assuming the +10 means that those areas are 10 feet higher up), and keeping up a running commentary on what he finds up there.

By the time he returns, Karnicore is vomiting blood up on the ground. "Well that was unexpected? Did the bull hit him? He did bite it, maybe it's poisoned? I wonder what we should do with him now? Do we just leave him here? That doesn't seem right. Maybe we should set his corpse on fire?"


Raijing slowly loops another circuit of the room, coming back to the door to the next room past the corpse, "This one does not think so, there is no ventilation in the room and besides it seems to have been a child of the air, a sky burial would be most appropriate... How hungry are you feeling Fey one?" It asks before reaching up to push the button for entrance into the next room, assuming it will not work but may provide some clue as to what should be done.

"Hungry? Me? Are you suggesting I eat him? He's a lot larger than me. I don't think that's possible. And he might be poisoned. Or poisonous. I don't want to die like he did." The small creature looks rather disturbed by the thought.

Hunter looks at the corpse with a detached air, then grabs it by the leg and pulls it onto the nearest floor button to see what the springs will actually do...


It is unfortunate, but such is life. We should be able to manage with four left though.
As the little fey hoovers over the platforms, he sees little special about them. There are some odd arcane symbols here and there, much like the ones on the circles from last room, but none seem to form any chain. You do notice that behind the 10 ft high wester wall there is another area with another four bulls grazing about.

The door that Raijin presses, opens without trouble, revealing a 5ft corridor that disappears around the corner, ending in another door with a button.

There are no floor buttons here. The big red buttons are connected to the walls
See it like this: jutting straight from the wall is a big red circle, situated on a 12 ft horizontal spring. One could press it, but it requires a lot of strength to push the spring all the way back.

Just a heads up to all, I am heading for a reunion this weekend and will not have access to the net. So I will not be posting from Thursday to Monday night. I will be back Tuesday.


Raijin peers down the hallway, "Bloodloss is not generally contagious." it says walking carefully down the next hallway then over to the next door and pressing the button to open it as well.

When the monk spots the trio of bulls through the opening door it immediately presses tight against the wall.
stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (17) + 19 = 36
It slowly takes in the room, spotting the red on the far wall it tries to discern if that's another button or simply a light.

If it's a button:
Raijin begins slowly skulking across the meadow, hoping to push it without drawing the bulls' attention.

If it's a light:
Raijin will slip back through the hallway and move over to the spring loaded buttons, starting to push one in to see how difficult it is and whether it will stay once pushed or must be held down.

DD puts his shoulder into one of the spring loaded buttons and pushes against it, trying to completely compress the spring and see if it stays in place, and then if there is a triggering mechanism...

"I actually thing blood loss is very contagious. Or at least you should hope it is. If you're bleeding all over the place, you're going to want something else to be bleeding too. But suddenly spewing blood isn't healthy, either way." He flits over to the bull pen and continues on a more immediate subject. "There's four more of those shocking bull things in here. We might be supposed to have them hit the buttons for us. Or we might be supposed to kill them. I can shoot them from up here and they don't look like they can fly." He pulls one of his tiny guns and sights along it. "If they're dead, they won't be bothering us. Shall I?"


The red spot is a light above the door, similar to the light bulbs in the rabbit-puzzle room. The door is not on ground level though (sorry for not having drawn it clear enough right away, my bad) but on an elevated area, similar to the part you came from.
When the springloaded buttons are being pushed, a strength check will be required.

when pushing it with sheer strength:
Make a strength check DC 25 to push it all the way back, no take 20

when shouldering into it with a running start:
Make a bull rush maneuvre with +2 from charge, DC 25

If you succeed the stated check:
a shimmering force field appears in place, depending on which button you pressed. The field is diagonal to form a ramp or horizontal to connect the gaps between the platforms, depending on which spring you pressed


Raijin returns from the other room, walking past the others and towards the button on the south wall, "This one does not think the bulls can get out, this sharp turn in the hallway will give them trouble." It says, moving up to the button placing both hands against it and beginning to push, stepping foreward slowly as necessary.
Strength check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

It manages to compress the button a considerable way only to have it stop short, the tiny creature's form trembling and crackling slightly with the force of trying to press it further back.

Gorg walks over to one button and gives it a little push to check the resistance. He then backs up as far as he can, sprints towards the button at full speed and throws his left shoulders into it.

Bull Rush w/ Charge: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 = 15

The Igeros Barbarian manages to push the button part way, before it recoils and knocks him on rear end.

Raijin steps back slowly from it's own button just in time to watch the other two make their own attempts, unsuccesfull as it's own was. It decides to give their ideas a try and slowly walks to the far side of the room takes a moment to slowly centre it's breathing, the gusts of wind around it picking up a little and the patterns across it's narrow arms glowing brighter and starting to slowly crackle before it opens it's eyes and turns into a tiny blurred flash as it rushes towards the button...

Bull Rush: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 = 25

Picking himself up and brushing himself off, Gorg tried again.

This time however, the button pushed in so easily, the Igeros thought he broke it for a second. But he held his ground so the button wouldn't release.


A ramp formed from a shimmering energy field appears leading to the first platform. Over the wall, Eaphue can notice an energy field connecting the two small platforms close to the wall. The light above the door remains red though.

As the others play with buttons Eapheu goes to play with the bulls. "I think there's another bull coming our way. I'll take care of it while you try pushing those buttons. What is it with this place and big red buttons?"

He flits over to hover 15' above the end of the chute, and points both pistols at the exit point.

"Here bull, come here. You make a very nice target. It's my turn to deal with you."

Readied action: If the bull comes out:

The tiny creature's glowing gun fires, and two pea-sized bullets come flying out at the bull.

One gun, so no penalty. Both barrels at once, so -4. Point blank shot for +1. Both attacks are close enough to be against touch AC. Spending a point of grit to add 2d6 precision damage to the first attack (half on a miss).

Barrel 1: 1d20 + 16 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 4 + 1 = 25 Damage: 1d4 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 11 + (2, 3) = 18
Barrel 2: 1d20 + 16 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 16 - 4 + 1 = 30 Damage: 1d4 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

32 damage


The bull wanders out of the chute, seemingly unconcerned about the little fey hanging above him. But when the bullets strike him from above, a spasmic jump shows he definitely fell that and as he hits the ground, a rumble like a distant rolling thunder is heard. He pants heavy but doesn't get back up.


The vuttons that have been successfully pressed no longer seem to push back. Apparently, pushing them all the wat in, also locks them somehow.

Raijin leans back from its button slightly, seeing that it remains in place rather than continuing to fight back. It moves back slowly, half expecting the button to com flying back out at any moment, but when it doesn't the little monk instead moves over to the other end of the room, setting up his run again and blurring across the room to attempt to tackle the final button.

Bull Rush: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 = 23


You hit the final button (middle one) with great force and push it back almost all the way. But just a feet or two before it locks, you have lost the last bit of momentum and it pushes you back out again.

For the sake of moving things along, can we just assume he tries again until he succeeds in pushing it back enough to lock? Nothing else is going to happen until he does, unless you want me to shoot another bull.

Letting slowly up on the button, Gorg realizes it's locked in place. Walking away from the button, he sees one of his smaller companions trying to push the remaining on in. Putting his hand on it's shoulder, he says, "Let me try." Backing up as far as he can, the Igeros Barbarian rushed the button.

Bull Rush w/Charge: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 2 = 14

Failing to lock the button, he tries again.

Bull Rush w/Charge: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23

And again.

On the third try, he locks the button in.

Hunter will drag the lifeless body of the karnicore into the room with the electric bulls and toss it into their enclosure. Maybe they'll choke on him...


When the third button is pressed in, some shimmering fields appear above the corridors, linking the different platforms. Eapheu sees how the red light above the door turns green and the door opens with the grinding sound of moving stone. Behind the door is a hallway about 10 ft wide (which will lead to e new map, will be up tomorrow.)


Raijin sees that all the buttons have been pushed in and that some form of force-walkway has formed, taking a moment to center itself using a ki point it makes a series of bounding leaps back and forth between the adjacent platforms... jump: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 20 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 2 + 20 = 51+20 for use of ki, +2 for running start, always running start cause, monk. and easily reaches the top of the platform, moving into a slow easy walk across the final two force platforms and reaching the new door, "And now what faces us?...
