For the spring I have the following games in mind:
1. Second Darkness. All Vampire AP starting with book 3 or 4.
2. Iron Gods. DM Default just had a massive turn out for it and I was considering picking up some of those submissions and running it.
3. Reign of Winter. All Witch Class/Archtype group. Any class or archetype with 'witch in it. Witch, a Witch Doctor, a Witchguard, a Witch Hunter, a Witch Killer, etc.
4. Council of Thieves. All Bard group.
5. Rogue Trader. Utilizing the Lure of the Expanse Module.
This is more of a poll really than an interest check as my Recruitment thread has shown support for all of these ideas.
Pick your top 3.
I will run two or three of them. I will have rolling Recruitment meaning I will Recruit for the most popular first (probably start in March and end April 1). Then do the same in April and again in May (if I feel I have enough room on my plate to run the third game).
I will Recruit here:
Storyteller-Shadows-Multi-Game-Recruitment II
this is only an interest thread.

They all look promising, but the only one that really interest me is the All Bard group. That should provide very interesting roleplaying potential.
A question. For the All Bards game, would that include Skalds too? I have an interesting idea for an Urban Skald.
Sure I would approve a Skald submission.

I'm tentatively interested in 4, curious how you imagine all Bard players working. Also interested in 1 and 3.
I've never seen the same Bard submission twice when recruiting for a single campaign. Bards are so versatile that they can function as Rogues, Fighters, Clerics, and Wizards. Not as well as those classes but well enough to make the party work. Or I am wrong and it will be a horrific TPK...

Also for those who care, the classes with Witch in the name are the following:
Witch(Duh)
Witch Hunter(Inquisitor)
Witchguard(Ranger)
Witch Doctor(Shaman)
Witch Killer(Slayer)
With the only Prestige Class being Winter Witch.
Now an interesting piece of information, while I was digging around to see if there where any other "witch" classes I did remember Hexcrafter(Magus). Which got me thinking, would it be added to the list? Seeing as the Hexcrafter archetypes is a witch magus in all but name and spell list.

Any interest is listing Witch Archetypes as well ? :-)

1. Council of Thieves.
2. Reign of Winter.
3. Second Darkness.
I've wanted to play Reign of Winter for quite a while (and the all witching just makes it that more interesting!), but bards are my true love. Love the idea of an all bard party and I've wanted to play most of the bard archetypes I've seen.

I once ran a World of Darkness game for an experienced Egyptian mummy, an old clan Tzimisce elder and member of the True Black Hand (he played his ghoul for daytime encounters), a high ranking Silver Fang Ahroun outcast, and a master Virtual Adept set in the modern Call of Cthulhu universe (though it did have some crossover with my ongoing WOD games at the time) and called Call of the Wyrm.
Fun game. They played through some of the adventures in the Stars are Right the one with the fire cultist firefighters--all-agro flamethrowers, and fire axes on top of burning skyscraper being particularly memorable. I had been running them through the At Your Door campaign when last we left off. We even had a spin-off set in the Victorian age (Sacraments of Evil) featuring the mummy (again--because you can't keep a good mummy down no matter how many times you kill him), the wraith of an early psychologist Technomancer, an old-school Society of Leopold hunter, and a gentleman member of the Arcanium.
Fun moments included: The Tzimisce's sanity and morals slowly eroding away (even beyond that of normal) because of his perusal of some of the books they recovered from their enemies. The same vampire arising from the earth (protean 3) of an old farm to find all of his fellows scattered his friend the mummy (temporarily) dead in the tall grass, and the huge ahroun terrified. People using their sensory powers in bad places (auspex and correspondence on Nyarlathotep's business card being the funniest--Is that Saturn? Do you hear someone playing pipes? and looking under the huge construction tarp while walking the Umbra at the Black Goat of the Woods being milked by machine).

Nice!
I crossed over Cthulhu in some of my table top Vamp games but that is full on Supernatural Cthulhu. Gives me ideas....

To this point votes have been counted:
4 1st place votes. 1. Second Darkness. All Vampire AP starting with book 3 or 4.
5 1st place votes. 2. Iron Gods. DM Default just had a massive turn out for it and I was considering picking up some of those submissions and running it.
5 1st place votes. 3. Reign of Winter. All Witch Class/Archtype group. Any class or archetype with 'witch in it. Witch, a Witch Doctor, a Witchguard, a Witch Hunter, a Witch Killer, etc.
7 1st place votes. 4. Council of Thieves. All Bard group.
1 1st place vote. 5. Rogue Trader. Utilizing the Lure of the Expanse Module.
It seems Bards are getting some serious love and spacers not so much.
This will stay open till March 1st at which time I will tally the total votes and Recruit for the top game first. Thereafter, I will Recruit for the second place vote getter in April. The 3rd place finisher I will Recruit for in May unless I feel too overwhelmed we shall see.
Me'mori |
I'd like to chime in for 3 and 4, as I'm very fond of themed games. It gives the players an immediate tie, rather than trying to nudge them closer through play, which often does not work.
Personally, I've only been in two games that gelled from the beginning, and both of those petered out as the DMs got shanghaied by life, (D.A.D., Dementia Walker, you are missed. *toasts*) If the players are going in for the characters, I'd love to be counted among those.

Votes counted as of February 16:
6 1st place votes. 1. Second Darkness. All Vampire AP starting with book 3 or 4.
8 1st place votes. 2. Iron Gods. DM Default just had a massive turn out for it and I was considering picking up some of those submissions and running it.
7 1st place votes. 3. Reign of Winter. All Witch Class/Archtype group. Any class or archetype with 'witch in it. Witch, a Witch Doctor, a Witchguard, a Witch Hunter, a Witch Killer, etc.
8 1st place votes. 4. Council of Thieves. All Bard group.
2 1st place vote. 5. Rogue Trader. Utilizing the Lure of the Expanse Module.
Getting a bit tighter here. Well except Rogue Trader, that one was a long shot anyway. There are 12 more days to express interest. After that, the top vote getting AP will have Recruitment begin on March 1. If there is a tie, the AP with the most 2nd place votes gets the nod.

Come on peoples vote up Second Darkness!! We get to play freakin vampires!!
Also worth noting, while they are vastly different types, and setting, Shadow is a hardcore Vampire the Masquerade lover and fan, currently running an awesome V20 Dark Ages game. Ie, he'll be an equally awesome GM for a PF vampire game, and probably give it and us lots of respect and treat us right! :)
