Some more constructs faded from sight, their time on this plane expired; two others kept flying at full tilt.

On the ship, the garnet crystal on Adran's neck, having previously grown spiderly legs, fell off of his chest. The psicrystal scurried around the deck, going up the stairs straight for the fallen elfavian woman. Spider-like legs touched the woman's skin at her side. (Activating Natural Healing tattoo! Should be 3 hp back!)

Connor used his healer's kit on Elara. "Let me bind her wounds." he said out loud to Rory.
Heal: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25 (Too bad you can't crit on a skill check!)

Taking care of Elara, Connor sent to Hero. You get Alys. And stop that ship!

(I can't find any tattoos on Elara's character sheet, and I know Connor never gave her any tattoos! I had the nat-20, so I didn't want to waste it. A Heal check this way immediately stabilizes Elara. Connor only has one tattoo of Natural Healing left. It was one of those things we were "going to get to" once we had some downtime in a city. As an Aegis‎, Elara has no psionic points!))

(Connor has smelling salts to get Elara awake, but only one tattoo of 4 hp to heal her - if that doesn't get her to positive hp, we'll have to fall back on mundane stuff.)

Skipping Rory, top of the round, Roderick is up. Alys is at -5 HP, so she's unable to leave the ship. Adren could try to swoop down and grab her, but will provoke an attack of Opportunity to do so. However, he's unwounded, so he could likely survive one hit. If the lizardfolk fails it's check to control the ship, any surrender move will be moot. If it surrenders and doesn't make a control check, the ship will crash, also rendering surrender's moot. I'll roll to see if it decides to let the ship crash and get away in the confusion, or if it ignores Adren and tries to keep the ship going. About a 50/50 shot right now. It's not a sailor, so it may decide to take it's chances with a wreck and then getting away in the jungle (which it finds more homey than the sky).

I wasn't thinking about them keeping control. I didn't have enough movement/action to get her last round anyways. So if they keep control or I have another action I will try an grab her. I am injured. I was hit twice.

Actually the GM is just a bit overwhelmed due to some horrific travel issues Sunday.

Prof(Sailor): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

The ship begins to slam into the tops of the trees, cracking sounds abound as the trees begin to break off, and the sounds of metal tearing and bending fill the air!

The ship will crash at the end of the round. I'll hold off rolling the damage, since Adrian is actually in position to do something about Alys.

Seeing that his ally has failed to keep the ship on course, the second large lizardfolk uses his held action to take a leap off the ship and into the trees.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

He successfully tucks and rolls into the upper branches of a tree...

Climb: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

...but barely manages to slow his tumble toward the ground...

Damage: 3d8 ⇒ (7, 4, 5) = 16

The lizard who failed to gain control dives off the back of the ship with his move action...

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

He successfully tucks and rolls into the upper branches of a tree...

Climb: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

...and manages to swing from limb to limb to slow his speed!

Adraniel up, the ship is crashing now, you'll need to make a CMB check against a 10, +5 for the ship crashing as you try to get Alys off the ship.

Unless someone wants to chase the overly muscled lizardfolk through their native habitat jungle, we are out of combat.

The ship shreds itself as it smashes threw several hundred feet of forest before there's an explosion of steam, water and fire as the two elementals bound into it's power core are freed as the psionics unravels. The remains of the boat embed themselves in trees, the ground, and any animals unlucky enough to be there.

The two elementals give each other a few hits of elemental anger, and then vanish.

Roderick rushes after the ship, watching futilely as it begins to crash into the jungle. He curses as he sees Adraniel drive towards the ship, only to cheer as he sees him pull free of the ship with Alys in tow. He hardly slows as the ship gouges a thick burrow through the trees, splintering into pieces and throwing up a cloud of steam. He slows his crazed pursuit as he nears Adran, pulling a vial from the bandolier around his chest. He commands of his companion, "Hold her steady and I'll see what I can do about healing her." He reaches his arm out and pokes one of the tattoos inscribed on his arm, struggling to maintain the psionic focus necessary to force the tattoo to transfer to a new recipient.

Give my ML 1 tattoos one at a time, using them after each transfer, until Alys wakes up. No infusion so i can't share my healing.

Rory let's out a creative string of loud curse words and louder cries of disbelief as his brand new shiny boat becomes one with the terrain.

As the others arrive to help Alys, Adran wait until her eyes open. Still kneeling holding her hand. When she looks at him he smiles.

"Good your awake. That's two you owe me." He smiles again.

He then looks to the others as he stands.

"Watch over her. I will go see what I can find among the wreckage."

I assume we will be taking some time searching around so Initial search will be taking 10 for a 27. If that turns up nothing as he passes over then he will land and start searching more thoroughly taking 20 for a 37. I assume we will spend the rest of the day here and probably camp and salvage parts from the ship as well as what they brought wealth wise.

With Elara awake, Connor filled her in on the battle with the magic-smugglers. "Adran, Alys, and Roderick are still battling them; the smugglers took off in their skyship. Hero tells me-" He is cut off by Rory's shout of alarm. "and Rory can attest, that things are, uh, not going well." Connor deadpanned. He put back his healer's kit into his backpack.

"Are you strong enough to fly?" Connor asked Elara. "I think Rory is anxious to know the scrap value of the lizardmen's ship on the other side of the lake."

Still clinging to Alys as best he could, Hero telepathed Here's the good news: we're alive, blondie. We almost lost you there. Now the bad news: a couple of lizardmen got away when they crashed their skyship into the woods here. The psicrystal added Connor says Elara is all right, Adran, Roderick. But Rory wanted the ship intact. That's the other bad news.

Are you going to try to put out the fire? Or are you going to wait for the fire to die down? Or are you going into the burning ship to search? The fire and water elementals broke loose, and wood being what it is, it is burning. Not as badly as it would have been if the water elemental hadn't also freed itself, but enough so that the remains of the ship are burning cheerily.

Adran takes a moment seeing parts of the ship are on fire. He focuses his suit and reconfigured it so he has resistance to fire.

[ooc]Reconfigure Improved Armor for Fire resistance. Get the good stuff out before it burns up. Maybe others have a way to deal with putting it out.

Roderick jumps at the sudden intrusion of the psicrystal's voice into his mind. Scowling, he 'returns' to the voice, Hurry over here if you want to find salvage. We're going to need your help if we want to find anything of value in the wreckage. It's liable to burn down around us.

"I've sent for the rest of the group through Hero, but if we want to see whats in the ship we had best do it quickly." Roderick draws and downs one of the potions hanging from his bandolier in a gulp before returning the empty vial to its place. As he turns towards the wreck of the ship, the blood oozing from his wounds stops, though the gashes and bruises don't disappears.

Standard to drink my healing with ML5 and move action to put it back. Next round I start towards the ship. 26/34 HP

"You can provide overwatch, right? Out of arrow range?" Connor insisted cheerfully. He cocked his head as he got a message from his psicrystal, turning to look at the northern side of the inner lake. (Point of order! Hero -> telepath to everybody, but not the other way around, unfortunately. So keep vocalizing, please!)

"The others are going to search the skyship. Alys is about as wounded as Elara." Connor said out loud to Rory as he passed him in a running long jump that turned into a full-winged flight.

(Making best (3x40=120ft/round) speed to the skyship, flapping upwards to get some height above the, er, wreck.)

Adraniel swoops in over the burning ship and lands on the deck. The ship is covered with smoke, and seeing anything is difficult. The deck has fractures running through it, and splinters of wood sticking up here and there. Swooping for what looks like a clear section through the smoke, Adraniel lands on the cargo hatch, which promptly collapses as he puts his weight on it!

Reflex save, DC 15 or fall into the cargo hold

Why would a flying creature put all there weight down at once. Wouldn't flapping the wings help clear smoke? Let's just keep moving and see what happens

Flapping your wings stirs up more smoke and swirls it around, also feeds the flames nearby. You did put your weight down slowly, that's what the reflex save was for, to react in time. You failed it. As to 'just flapping', again, that was what the reflex save was for. To flap in time to keep you from dropping.

Adraniel is about to take a step forward when the cover collapses, and before he can flap his wings, he's falling through debris and smoke into the interior of the ship.

Arriving with Elara (and Rory?), Connor swooped upwards, using the fire's updraft. He hovered high above the heated air while he concentrated, bringing out some of the last of his psionic energy.

Hero, tell Alys entangling ectoplasm won't help, but if she can reach me, I've got that healing power, body adjustment, that the healers used to talk about in secondary school. We need a kineticist for this fire, like Sammark! Out loud he added "We've got to put out these fires! Use your ship training! Look for sand-barrels, anything!"

Mentally Connor directed the new, small Astral Construct to drop onto the deck and start throwing loose stuff on fire over the railing. Stomping on fires with its' protected feet. Anything to stop the flames! (Putting AC#1 onto the lower deck on the highest level.)

With great effort Connor expended the last of his mental energies to send a small, flying, fire-resistant astral construct down to Adran's deck through the cargo hole. (AC#2) Seeing Adran pop back up out of the cargo hold, he muttered, "Or, not. Must be hot down there", grinning.

The inside of the ship is trashed, things have been smashed around and flung around. Still, there's likely to be stuff worth salvaging, but without taking the time to pull it out, all you can really tell from looking around is that there's stuff there.

Ad does notice that he's landed on a couple of barrels of gunpowder, as well as what looks like a crate of apples and a crate of oranges.

Round 2

Elara drops through the hole, and finds Adranial trying to pick up a 100lb barrel. He clears it off the ground, but obviously can't fly up through the small opening with it. He can, however, take it up the stairs. There is another barrel next to it, both appear to be full of gunpowder. There are crates of food, a fire, lots of smoke, and several doors off the area.

Rory, Connor, and Roderick all arrive at the same time as Elara does, but don't swoop into the smoke and through the hole.

Alys is already there, hovering.

Connor begins to summon creatures, Rory b!@*%es about the ship burning and not having the right psi powers, and Alys continues to hover.

Connoer has actions, everyone else can do something this round, from carrying barrels up steps to searching the hold to leaving to something else.

Arriving at the wreck of the ship, Roderick drops towards the deck and enters the hole where had seen Elara disappear. Looking about, he spots Adraniel disappearing up the stairs with a barrel. Spotting the other, and guessing its contents, he gathers the barrel and turns towards the stairs.

Gonna move into the ship and start moving the barrel outta the fire and to a safe distance (maybe 40-50 feet away from the fire. Then he'll start back to search some more.

Connor summons bits of nothingness to fight the fire. They begin batting at the fire.

The fire spreads in areas of the ship.

Adran grunts and strains up the stairs with the barrel he's picked up.

Elara lands, picks up a barrel, and prepares to take it out next round.

Roderick arrives and swoops into the smoke, sees a hole, and drops into the hold above Elara. DC 15 flight check to avoid hitting an wall on the way in

Alys watches the activity.

Rory continues to curse at the burning ship from afar.

It's only 100lbs, it puts me at medium encumbrance but I can still double move 40'. I don't understand the map. Is the deck to the right the top deck? Does that mean I'm on deck 2? Did I climb up the stairs from deck 3 last round. Is deck 3 where Elara and Roderick are? Thanks.

"Right, gunpowder and flames don't mix if we want to preserve the ship for a few more moments. It might prove useful after as well." He stoops to pick up a barrel and begins to leave the ship.

Ah, I thought you would be at Heavy with gear and the 100lbs. If you're at medium, you can take off and fly 20 ft or so. Decks are, from left to right, Lowest Deck, Middle Deck, Top deck + Cabins, Top deck + Fore/Aft Top decks. 3 and 4 share the common top deck, but show the rooms and upper decks respectively. Remember, going up 15ft of stairs requires 30ft of movement, plus 10ft to go through the door (opening the door at the top of the stairs). 10 ft to the stairs. So, 10+30+10 = 50 to get out. So only 30 ft left. You'll have to fly up at least 5ft to clear the rails, so that's 10ft of movement, leaving you 20ft lateral movement. Roderick and Elara on deck 2 (from the left), which is one deck below deck 3, which is the surface deck of the ship + cabins. Yes, last round you climbed up the stairs. The stairs take up 2.5 5ft squares, making all 3 squares stairs. Stairs require double movement to climb up, so 10ft per 5ft stair.

Roderick, there are only two visible barrels of powder. Adran is carrying one outside the ship, and Elara has the other in hand. Do you want to grab a random crate, a crate of food (broken open), search a cabin, or search the area to see what might be taken, or fight flames?
