Vhekk |
Vhekk thinks for a moment. "Well, they will likely expect us to enter by the front door, so if we enter that room there, indicating H15 on the second floor, we can kill their leader - I do not believe most of the rest are in any state to fight. If we take their leader, we can help their sick to get them to stand down. Who knows? Perhaps one of them will know where our kidnapped noble is."
Noemy |
Noemy needs no further agreement. She swaps to her bladed needle, grabs the rope that the party took to get up here, pulls it around to line up with the second story window into H15 and leaps out! Mid swing she braces her fluffy feet against the eye of the needle and points the blade at the glass to crash through.
"Gwaaaaaarh!" Her shout resounds out to the trees.
Vhekk |
Vhekk stares for a moment after where Noemy disappears. "Um... Did she just... Sliset, yes she did. Well, I suppose there's nothing for it now." Unstringing his staff, he rushes towards the rope, grabs the edge of the roof, and leaps off, using his grip on the roof's edge to swing him back around and into the window.
Acrobatics (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
The young hunter rolls as he hits the floor, springing to his feet. His ash staff seems to flow like water between his obsidian talons as he issues a challenge to the bandit lord. "Give us the Lady Argentus, or we will take your life!"
Lilyana Boyarov |
"Господи Боже, Ноэми!", Lilyana says as she slides down the rope and into the window, with her loaded arquebus in-tow, ready to fire at anyone nearby. Why did Noemy have to go rushing in, she thinks to herself as she readies for the combat in front of her face.
Acrobatics (U): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Translation: Christ's sake, Noemy!
Maq'la, daughter of Ulkh |
"You're not getting ahead this time, Noemy!" Maq'la cheerfully bounds in behind her, swinging her aq'lakh to clear away the last remnants of broken glass as she dives through.
Athletics? Acrobatics? (Same bonus for either): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

There is a map link up in the campaign notes above us.
Lilyana Boyarov |
Arquebus Strike @Rohkar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Damage, One Shot One Kill: 1d8 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 2 + (2) = 10
"Might bust the rest of the windows, but here we go! COVER YOUR EARS!" Lilyana says with unrestrained glee as she blasts the necromancer with her arquebus, using it as some form of defense against the adjacent skeleton's attacks.
◆Strike ◆Reload ◆Defensive Armaments Defensive Armaments: AC is now 19.
Lilyana can be heard laughing, hoping to unnerve the spellcaster in front of her as she continues her assault.
Maq'la, daughter of Ulkh |
Maq'la leaps up on the table, sending dishes scattering.
She swings her aq'lakh in a blur, managing to hit Rhokar in the shoulder.
Athletics (jump up onto table): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Aq'lakh (bo staff): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Aq'lakh (bo staff): 1d20 + 7 - 5 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 5 = 16
◆ Jump on table ◆ Flurry of blows ◆ Parry (AC 21)
Reckless |
Rhokar makes a careful step backwards and touches something under his shirt collar and invokes some words of power. "You are mistaken if you think I'll give her up so easily. Your corpses will make fine servants." he snarls.
Ai out of range
Lilyana 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Maq'la 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Noemy 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Vhekk 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Yorah 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Lilyana and Maq'la have a –1 status penalty to attack rolls as long as they are within 10 ft of Rhokar.
Skeleton 1 slashes its scimitar at Noemy
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
but she bounces to one side.
It follows through with a claw
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
which misses by a mile.
Lastly, it tries one more swipe with its claw.
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
Noemy dances away with ease.
Noemy and Yorah are up
Yorah |
The party's entrance was, interestingly enoguh, a little wild for Yorah, but she catches up (◆ Stride) and swipes her nails at the air to send slicing winds at the people in the room (◆◆ Slashing Gust).
Both are slashing damage for resistance purposes
Slashing Gust vs Rhokar, Slashing Damage: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 252d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Slashing Gust vs 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 192d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Noemy |
Noemy throws herself into a rage, whirling her massively oversized needle at the neighboring skeletons (starting with skele 2, moving to skele 1 if 2 goes down). "Out of MY WAY!"
◆ Rage (AC17, 3 temp hp) ◆ Strike ◆ Strike
Bladed Needle (reach5ft): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Damage (S): 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 6 = 11
Bladed Needle (reach5ft): 1d20 + 8 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 5 = 21 Damage (S): 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 6 = 18
Vhekk |
Vhekk steps forward to follow Rhokar, his staff spinning like a whirlwind. The length of wood flashes out like the fangs of a striking snake, but as Rhokar raises his arm to defend against the blow, it veers off, and stars flash in the bandit's vision as the staff whirls around from the other side to rap smartly against the back of his skull.
Deception (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Assuming +8 for Perception, as that's what his bonus was for initiative - that would make my Feint DC an 18, which I beat.
Bow Staff Strike (Trained, Confident Finisher): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + (6, 1) + 1 = 12
◆ Step ◆ Feint ◆ Confident Finisher
Ai Calvianus |
Ai was in a very awkward position, unable to fully enter the room and instead of trying right away held on awkwardly as she sent a torrent of water out intending to slam it into the nearest skeleton in the hopes she could take it out and move all the way into the room.
water blast @ skelie 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 191d8 ⇒ 7
2 actions for water blast, one to stride into skelie 2's place if it falls.
Reckless |
Skel 2 was already taken out by Noemy and Yorah, so we'll redirect that blast to number 1, the next closest.
Ai's blast destroys skeleton #1, leaving only Rhokar and Skeleton #3. Rhokar is looking pretty bad. 7/45 HP remaining.
The last standing skeleton slashes at Vhekk with its sword and claw.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6
but Vhekk is able to fend off even its fiercest attacks.
Lilyana and Maq'la are up.
Lilyana Boyarov |
Arquebus Strike: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Arquebus Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Not d10, this isn't Solras.
Lilyana shoots one more time at the necromancer, hoping that this is the shot that finally brings him down once and for all. She aims the shot right between his eyes while he's distracted, and fires, and breathes a sigh of relief as he falls to the ground with a resounding thud.
"Alright, where to next," she asks as soon as the skeleton is fell as well.
◆Strike ◆Reload ◆Defensive Armaments
Maq'la, daughter of Ulkh |
Maq'la bounds along the top of the table, following Rhokar. She strikes again, making sure to keep her aq'lakh ready to fend off any counterattack.
◆ Stride, ◆ Flurry of Blows, ◆ Parry (AC 19)
Aq'lakh (bo staff): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18Maybe +1 for higher ground?
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Aq'lakh (bo staff): 1d20 + 7 - 5 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 5 = 4
Noemy |
"Wow, that was fast!" Noemy hops forward, a little disappointed to not have had more time smashing skeletons as her fighting spirit ebbs from a bright blaze back to more of an ember. "Rush downstairs to fight the other guys left over?" Even as she suggests it, she leaps up and turns the doorknob on the little enclosed room to see if there's any witches hiding within.
Yorah |
Yorah walks over to the downed lodge commander and puts her ear to his mouth to check for breathing. "We might need this person later. For information, if nothing else."
Is he dead or just bleeding out, etc? Can we stabilise him?
Noemy |
Despite her needles, Noemy has no medical knowledge, so she looks to the others to heal the bandit leader if they want. "Yeah, maybe he knows where the witch and all the others are?"
Yorah |
Yorah tries to keep the man from bleeding out. She tears off his clothes to make some tourniquets, hoping to make use of him later.
Administer First Aid: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Maq'la, daughter of Ulkh |
While Yorah administer's first aid, Maq'la sticks pokes head out to look and listen down the stairway.
Clearly the bandits below heard the ruckus. Now we learn if they are brave enough to charge up into it, or are running away. Or perhaps they prepare to surrender? That fleeing human seemed to think they mostly would rather give up, if not badgered any longer by this fool.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Vhekk |
As Yorah attempts to aid the fallen bandit, Vhekk joins Maq'la by the stairway, holding his staff at the ready in case any bandits try to rush the stairs. "You down there! Your leader is dead, and most of your people are ill! Surrender, and we will aid you - fight us, and you will die!"
Diplomacy (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Diplomacy (Trained, Hero Point): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
If Intimidate would be more fitting, the bonus is the same.
Noemy |
"Scaring off the rest of them's a great plan!" Noemy scurries to the top of the stairway and joins Vhekk in shouting down to the ground floor.
"You're welcome to fight too, you know! It'll be fun. For some of us!" She calls out cheerfully, then listens in to hear what kind of response there might be from downstairs, including anyone moving around loud enough to hear.
Ai Calvianus |
Ai was glad the fight was over with and she saw how Yorah was struggling to stabilize the bandit leader. It seemed getting information would be worthwhile so, since she still had her gate open from the fight, Ai walked over and applied some of her water to the worst of the wounds to try and heal him enough that he would survived.
Ocean's Balm: 1d8 ⇒ 4
If possible I would rather just heal him 1 point which should stabilize him.
Once that task was accomplished Ai began moving amongst her companions to heal their injuries as best she could.
Lilyana Ocean's Balm: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Anyone else need it? I can hit everyone once every10 min.
