Hey guys! I tried to host a game, some months ago, but it didn't go too far - it was one of my homebrew, and some of the particular environment rules weren't working well for the players and I decided to pull it out.
Yet, I've been thinking about the possibility of hosting another game, but based on an existing AP. I would, however, bump the characters' level - probably start around level 10, instead of 1, and make them Gestalt. It would obviously affect the encounters as well, but the narrative of the AP would stay the same, as well as the environment.
Would we have enough interest? The adventures I could run would be Wrath of the Righteous, Mummy's Mask or Way of the Wicked.

I'm in dot.
My vote is for Wraith.
If you arw thinking of doing this supersize game could I offer up some views. Not everyone will agree with them and they are my views alone but...
If you going Gestalt, then you may wish to rule out templates and monster races.
If you do letting take up one side with NPC class in all none used CR levels seems to work.
I have Seen games like this get very broken with ether in play. But your call.
Also pregame Crafting, can brake thongs, you get some mighty crafter with mega kit blasting everything before a party gets close.
I mysele always go, 3ed party by GM agreement but that's me.
Some may ask about 'spheres of power' hero poibts and psinocs, even maybe the honor system. They are whole other systems and that's all you call.
I like SoP and psinocs so I'll ask about them.
Would you consider them?

Dotting.
Played in a Mummy's Mask, sort of, about a third of it. Went downhill.
Haven't played Wrath of the RIghteous.
If it's Way of the Wicked, I'll pass. :) I play bad guys all the time as GM. Would prefer to play a good guy as a player. :)
Only weird things I'd ask about are playing awakened animals or unfettered eidolons (basically a summoner without the summoner).

Hey guys, Chess here!
I don't usually allow anything third party - I simply don't like it on the games, and I feel the official materials offer enough variety already. The same goes for unusual player races - more than likely I'd restrict it to the core races plus some of the uncommon and featured.
I like high powered games and would love to see cooler stuff into play - stuff the lowest levels wouldn't be able to do. The point is that I'll have, also, to adapt the journey to handle the higher levels, to prevent plots from being ruined due to a higher level spell or similar (like the dim door example). That's part of the work - while still trying to keep the essence of the journey there.
If you never played beyond book 1 of these adventures than it's fine, but I probably won't pick you if you went beyond that or are playing the same AP elsewhere. With that said... what would be the AP you guys prefer, assuming we still have enough interest?

If you won't pick anyone who have played further than book 1, then I guess wrath is out for me. I would love either of the two others though.
I have no problem with not allowing 3pp. How do you feel about prestige classes? Is it fine to pick one as long as you qualify all on one side of the 'stalt?
I don't think you will have a problem finding interest. Nate Lange's 10th level gestalt rise of the runelords drew over a dozen applicants iirc.
I don't suppose you would want to include mythic in the non-Wrath paths?

I'm always interested in Gestalt. Keeping an eye on this.
As for what AP I'd prefer, I'd probably take any. I think I'd be most interested in probably Kingmaker, Wrath of the Righteous, Hell's Rebels, Skulls & Shackles, Reign of Winter, Gianslayer, or Council of Thieves. I've played a little of some of them, but never at a high level.

Mummy Mask then as it is the only one I have not played. Book 3 for wrath and started book 2 in way of the wicked. Fun fact on Way of the Wicked. I have broke out of the prison 7 times. I sure would like to see where that game goes but I have been in book 2 :(
I'd estimate that only 0.00004% of WotW games ever get past book 1.

Compared to the average rate of 0.00005% for other adventure paths.

In an IRL game, played that one to book 3 I think. Pbp I could see that as a true statistic.
