Looking forwards to possibly shooting things out with every one.

:)

As far as the interest check goes, count me in as interested.

Hmm, does someone who runs a traveling museum of the strange and wondrous sound more like an Alchemists or an Occultist? Both really make sense to me.

An Occultist, since I'm already doing an Alchemist. :)

This is Nohwear. I will stat him when I know how you want us to build our character.

Are we going true western style, or incorporating a lot of fantasy into it? Was thinking that the automatic bonus progression would work well in this campaign.

I'm curious about the setting. Is it going to be Golarion or something with a more Western flavor?

I'm still in preproduction, as it were. I originally pictured a cinematic western, but all the fantasy elements can blend so well. Perhaps a dimensional nexus area adjacent to somewhere in Alkenstar, say, and other dimensions as well. Also totally willing to listen to any input or preference.

Surprised that nobody's brought up the actual cowboy archetype: Spellscar Drifter.

So like Pathfinder Rifts (but not so over the top). Sounds good. Gives a lot of flexibility.

If it makes a good or fun story, I want to be able to allow it.

There's a lot out there. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/gunslinger/archetypes/paizo--- gunslinger-archetypes/maverick-gunslinger-archetype

DM's thoughts on the old wording of Titan Mauler? ;)

Though am happy with anything.

Pah. Your jaws will drop, your eyes will pop! When you see Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather's World famous Travelling show.

Filled with wonders both weird and wild. Education and adventure for the whole family.

A very reasonable fee for entry. Doctor Tarr is on hand with his miraculous medicines for those of a more delicate constitution.

Construction has begun on the major town.

Just had like 3 different character ideas pop up so I'm gonna wait til I know character creation criteria

It's gonna be guns everywhere btw.

Sweet, helllooooo rifle!

That's brings them down from exotic to martial, doesn't it?

Yup, and I think gunslingers start off with dex to damage with firearms at level 1 instead of getting it at 5th.

Guns Everywhere wrote:
Guns are commonplace. Early firearms are seen as antiques, and advanced firearms are widespread. Firearms are simple weapons, and early firearms, advanced guns, and their ammunition are bought or crafted for 10% of the cost listed in this chapter. The Gunslinger loses the gunsmith class feature and instead gains the gun training class feature at 1st level.

So actually they're simple, which means almost anyone can use them, and they're cheap, and yes, gunslingers get Dex to damage from 1st level.

....oh that changes a few things then.

Yup, I know what I'm gonna do now. Imagine: A warpriest of Iomedae (or other lawful diety or just dedicated to Law) marshall using a firearm with his sacred weapon ability.

I've sketched out the general area ...big town, plains, canyon area, little settlement, etc. I've also plotted out 3 or 4 adventure arcs, starting with our Mag 7 tribute. Fleshing out the factions around now. When it's selection time, I want to work with the players to tie them in better, so some details are loose until decided.

Well Doctor Tarr is already loosely ready, Alchemist 5/Gunslinger 2. Showman and snake-oil salesman. Travels with Professor Feather the Occultist and their travelling show.

Just need to know the stat buy and the starting cash?

Dotting

I've already got a character in this vain. Someone's already playing a spellslinger so I'll be going with a refluffed true silvered throne shaman. Or, if 3pp is allowed, a Gunsmoke Mystic

I'll get to writing something up more concrete and either post it here or pass it on via PM for consideration.

Grand Lodge

Bump.....

Anything more about this?

Dot for interest, got a few thoughts kicking around in my head

It's been awhile, but I am still really excited for this game.

Still developing the campaign, I've not abandoned you. I'd rather get too much planned than too little, yknow?

Dark Archive

Interested, save me a spot :)

Catfolk rouge going for a duel revolver bandit type. Outlaw out for gold. Simple and easy.

There's also the remake of 'The magnificent seven' coming to cinemas soon. :)

A question: Is there going to be a recruitment thread or is this it?

I do have a fighter in mind who thanks in part to the Weapon Master's Handbook and a few other things (such as the Cosmopolitan feat, as well as the Trap Finder campaign trait from Mummy's Mask if allowed) could act as a sort of face/skill monkey/trap dude who can fight. Of course it would help if the ability score generation method is one that results in high (-ish) ability scores for that to work. ;-)

A roguish and just a tad scoundrely gentleman with a sword cane. Human of course. :-)

And if I may make suggestion: What do you think about incorporating the Automatic Bonus Progression and Background Skills rules from Pathfinder Unchained?

Glad to hear that the GM is still around. I'm still here as well, although not certain of what I'll play just yet. I am curious to know your thoughts on one idea, however: would you allow Variant Multiclassing, and if so, would using the VMC option for the Gunslinger replace the level 7 feature (Gunsmithing) with Gun Training 1, much like the actual class works in Guns Everywhere?

This sounds fun but combat will probably end quickly and be terribly one sided. Gunslingers are ridiculous. Still love them though. I am thinking a sniper, One Shot, One Kill type. A young man that is just trying his best to protect his family. Maybe a few levels of Cavalier for a reliable steed to ride and shoot.

This still going to happen?

The idea of a short, but maybe able to continue, campaign is bearin down hard on me. I've played a lot of games but only dm-ed for irl games. But I'd love to run a Magnificent Seven riff using pathfinder rules. When it comes to classes, I'd say have a good story. I'd admit ninjas or winter witches if they had a good concept that fits in. Gunslingers obviously allowed, archetypes encouraged. Magic could exist if you explain it in genre or a fusion.

This is just an interest check. I'd have to develop it, but I want to see if there's interest first.

Caveat: race and the genre. I mean human constructs of race, and how that has shaped this country and in ways, this genre. This is a roundabout way of saying stereotypes will not get much consideration as pcs. Characters can be in-world racist, as was prevelent, but expect that to have negative karmic responce, unless we agree on an arc for your character. I'm not interested in hateful for hateful's sake.

EDIT: GOOD REFLUFFING ENCOURAGED

I am on an unexpected job hunt, which has put this on hold. Sorry.
