Well... first you need to define "love". I got a strong interest in personal comfort, and a bit of a weakness for strong drink.

Go crazy guys! Really interesting in hearing how people tackle these.

1) Well, see, I originally signed up as a legal aide for the pathfinder society, but somehow my paperwork got misfiled by a "Drendle Dreng" and I was classified as a field agent. Trying to get it fixed has been a nightmare!

2) (((Technically, yes, though it is a pun. Bengoshihojo-in is Japanese for Paralegal)))
3) I grew up in Chelliax. I was always fond of the laws and order that the land provided, but the upper eschelons of power exploited loopholes (following the rule and not the intent of the law) too readily for my own taste, so I decided to go to Abdar instead of Asmodeus.
4) I am 5'10", with shoulder-length black hair, and a robe underneath my rather haphazard armor. I'd prefer more appropriate armor, but I found this suit on an adventure and it's just so comfortable!
5) Well, of course I love Abadar. After that, I love helping people, using the law and civilization to get people to accomplish more than what they could alone.
6) Well, I try not to hate. Too negative. I suppose I am really not fond of banditry, and people exploiting loopholes in the law. The law is there to help people, not to be used as a weapon against the poor.
7) Well, Lakuna, the head barrister of the legal department, is a good friend and mentor, helped me through the troubling transition from paralegal to pathfinder.
8) Well, I know Chellaxians can be a bit human-centered, but I was raised in an abbey. Way I see it, laws are meant to bring all races together into a civilized whole, so I try not to be as racist as some of my countrymen.
9)After a certain adventure, I do eye shrubbery suspiciously. I used to be very worried about being a field agent, but after it was pointed out to me that I am doing Abadar's will, I have learned not to be quite as afraid anymore.
10) Without a doubt, it is my mithral iron brush gifted to me from Lord Eckheart Henderthane after I left his employ for the pathfinder society. A great token of his appreciation. I've even had it enchanted so that it will never dull or rust!

This is for PFS agent I just made (He is a LG Dwarven Warpriest of Erastil)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
Spread the word of workers equality. Promote "The Community" at all cost and grow "The Community" at all cost. The members of "The Community" felt is was necessary to infultr....... *COUGH COUGH* I mean join the society to promote out message of peace, workers rights, and denounce the evils of CAPITALISM.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
(This is a bit tricky I chose the name so other players have an easier time recognizing the theme of the character)
I go by Vladimir or Vlad for short.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in rural Irrisen, away from the full reach of Winterthrone. The cruelty of Baba Yaga's daughters influenced me to take a stand and join "The Community."

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I have common Dwarven features, but my full plate and Earthbreaker are intimidating. Despite this I am very talkative and constantly try to sway support to "The Community." Overall my character looks gruff and comes off a bit abrasive.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
"The Community", Workers rights, convincing my fellow Pathfinders to join "The Community" and completing missions to further my goals of spreading the greatness of "The Community"

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
CAPITALISM, Tyranny, Slavery, and the unfair treatment of workers.....especially Pathfinders.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Any pathfinder or fellow community members. I have no formal family or mentors, but all members of "The Community" are my comrades and family members.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Growing up as an orphan in Irrisen my dwarven ancestry holds no sway over me. Actually I generally don't get along with most dwarves as they generally don't approve of "The Community" and what it stands for.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
As long as "The Community" has my back I am afraid of nothing. My only worry is that I can't enforce the tenants of "The Community."

10. What is your most treasured possession?
All of my "possessions" are treasured as they are community property and I was chosen to used them to further the goals of "The Community."
(This character technically does purchase items, but in the game at the start of each session a member of "The Community" delivers him a package with the items he purchased. Each package has a note written in common explaining what each item is and how to use it so that in character he isn't confused about his new gear)

Liberty's Edge 1/5 5/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
Due to failing family fortunes and a few domestic situations I'd rather not discuss, the Pathfinder Society seemed an ideal fit for the research I needed to do to handle some life issues.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
Not that I'm aware of?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
Taldor. The women are typically shrill and obnoxious, the men full of ego and little else. It's hard to find decent people there, but when you do, they're worth more than gold. Kind of taught me a lesson about life.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I've been accused of being 'frail' and a 'pretty boy'. I'm roughly 5' 4", 140 lbs with hair that ranges from dark brown to black, dark brown eyes and lightly tanned skin. For some reason, though, facial hair is an issue. I'm sure we'll find a solution for that at some point. As far as outfit? I dress for the situation, which has been helped immeasurably with an enchantment I've acquired for my chain shirt.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Freedom. The Arts. The Society and it's empowering ability to explore these things while getting paid for it.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Pathfinders that are a danger to themselves and others because they don't work as a team.

Seriously.

If you're one of the raging types, please, for the love that's all that's holy work on building up your mental defenses!

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Really hadn't given this much thought, to be honest. I'd hope that I'd be able to support and be supported by any of my fellow agents in the field or off of it? Even the ones that are having self-control issues?

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/etc?

I don't believe I'm a stereotype, but I could be wrong. Why can't we all just get along?

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Being influenced by something so thoroughly that I forget who I am or where I came from. Losing myself in such a way is terrifying concept.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

It's not someone that's in my possession at the moment, but I'm trying to save my money and resources to retrieve a particular intelligent item from the Vaults. He and I really hit it off and I think we'd really compliment each other in the field. And I'm pretty sure he's not keen just sitting in some lock-box waiting for someone to bail him out, either. And before someone raises the question about freedom -- if he's riding on my hip he'll get plenty of time out and about. He seemed exceptionally receptive to the idea the last time we talked.

The Exchange 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

I fell in with a group of Pathfinders investigating the disappearance of some old creep named Khonnir Baine that turned out to be a pretty okay guy in the end, I guess. After one of 'em saved my life, though to this day I've still no idea why, I pledged to join in with 'em for a bit. The pay is good, and the company is gooder, too. Plus, keeps me a good distance away from the Technic League...

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

My name's Bohz Karah't, not a good sounding name, so I'm told, but it's a unique one I reckon, so I've that going for me. The name 'as something to do with steel, I think. I never cared to learn for sure. Just a name after all.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I was born in Starfall, Numeria. Me Da was a Technic League agent way back then, with a small smuggling operation on the side. He'd take Numerian artifacts out of the country for a good price, even though he knew the League don't like that sort of behavior. I grew up around machines, and though I don't think myself to be a particularly educated man, I know my way around machines better than any other.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I like to think I'm pretty good lookin' for as dried out as I am, aha. When I was a bit younger, I was popular with the girls, but that didn't last too much longer after I got a bit older. Too many scars, too many bad habits, whatever, it don't matter to me very much. Nowadays, I'm in me helmet most the time anyway.

Heavy thing, that, made of thick metal. I had it forged outta the head of a scorpion robot I found destroyed out in the plains. Besides me dusty cloak an' satchels and all, I'd say me armor was the most interestin' thing I wear. It's called Neraplast armor, a hexagonal patterned bit o' high tech. With the press of a button, I can blend into any surrounding. Damn useful that, for when I'd rather just choke a bastard out from behind than actually fight to collect me bounty.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

I used to love me Da, when he was still 'round. I'd have to say Ma now though, and Sylie, me sister, though I ain't seen her in a while, and I don't imagine I will, either. She went off with some Andoran fella when I was younger. Da didn't approve. Ah, but those are people, not things, not feelings.

I live for feelin's more than I do for people. For the feel of the wind blowing yer cloak as you hike the plains, the rythmic thunder of gunfire, or that feeling of success ya get when you collect a particularly large bounty. But it's not just the good things, I love the bad things too. It's all part of life, good and bad. Bit of pain just makes the good... uh... gooder, I guess.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Liars. People who don't follow in on promises made. People who don't pay their debts, I make it a habit o' mine to make sure I'm on top of things like that. A man is only as strong inside as he is good on his word, and if you double-cross me, you'll find yourself lying in a ditch somewhere without any clothes.

As good as I am with a gun, I don't like using it on people, but I reserve a special selection of alchemical cartridges just for those who break their word and betray my trust.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

The one who saved me. 'Er name was Haralga, dwarven woman with great big... hammers. Got surrounded by some recently activated robots underneath the town of Torch. I didn't think the damned things could even move, I was lookin' for spare parts for me gun. Caught me entirely off-guard, probably woulda killed me too if it weren't for her and her friends.

I owe her that, she had no reason to help me, neither did 'er friends. I don't make a habit of relying on people to be 'good' or 'just', but they were good people.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I grew up surrounded by other humans in Starfall, so I ain't never got to talk too much with anyone that wasn't human. Never really thought about it until I was older. In my particular line of work, you've got to take work when ya can get it, no questions asked most the time.

Don't care who hires me, as long as they pay me. Treat me good, I treat you good. Treat me bad, I shoot you.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Spiders. Mostly spiders. Hate spiders. But that's just a... phobia o' mine, aha. Never used that word before, "phobia". I got plenty worries though. Always keeping as low a profile as possible. When I was younger, I worked for the Technic League as a hitman of sorts. Me Da got me the job, and I didn't really mind it. Didn't realize what I was doing until I'd done a few things I ain't proud of. Lots of good people dead.

But eventually I realized what I was doing didn't feel right, an' I tried to leave the League. Only, they don't like that sort of thing. Been on the run ever since. May have taken a few things in the process of leaving, but hey, I ain't perfect.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Ahh, me musket, ah course. Helped me through quite the selection o' sticky situations.

The Alkenstar Model 11, is what it's called, or was, 'fore the League got their hands on quite a few crates o' em. After some alterations to the weapons, they made something quite a bit more efficient. I don't got one of those. I got a prototype, all I could get my hands on.

I put more time into takin' care of my gun than I do taking care of myself, aha.

That probably ain't good. Hm.

Grand Lodge 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To be honest, I became a pathfinder to keep an eye on my brother Kahel. He's always getting in trouble. And never learned the value of an honest day's work. Always has his nose stuck in a book, you see. So someone has to keep the fool alive.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

What is this 'earth mythology' you talk of? I can't say I ever heard of such a thing. My surname comes from my profession. I'm a cobbler, which should tell you everything about how I make a living. I run a shope called Traveling Sole in Absalom. Stop in sometime, Pathfinders get a twenty percent discount if they can produce a wayfinder.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
None, really. The folks traveled around a lot. Not sure where mom and dad originally came from. But they found me on the road.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Well, I can usually be found wearing my work cloths. I am a cobbler, you know. I've got this hat I'm rather fond of though. It nicely hides my hair. Feathers for hair can be upsetting to some people. But when I'm on the road I like to wear something sturdier and more travel worthy underneath my armor.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Family's big to me. Someday I'd like to learn who my birth parents were. But there's no rush. There is this cute red head who comes by my shop now and then. Wait, what do you mean that's Kahel?

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Thieves. Can't stand them. Instead of putting in the time and effort to in an honest trade, they'd rather take what others have earned. They're parasites on society.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

You know, I'm not sure how to answer this. The Pathfinders have asked me to head out twice now. But each time it was with different people. They all seemed nice enough. Although that lizard guy wasn't the sharpest tool in the shop. If you know what I mean.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I've always had family around. But we've moved so much. And I'm not like the rest of my family. I never really felt like I fit in. You know? It's one reason I'd like to know who my birth parents were.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

There's many things that scare me. The price of leather going up, taxes becoming too high, my family getting killed. Too many to really count off. The thing is though, you can't let fear rule your life.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My family, of course. Why do you ask?

Ophelia Feshal wrote:
OOC: Time to revive this thread. I always liked this one, and already answered as 12 of my current PCs (and one that got rebuilt into a completely different PC since posting here).

Well, I can't say I've done this twelve times, but I have a few new core characters that might benefit from making their introductions . . .

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Because of a girl. Not just any girl, mind you, but General Naran's daughter, Samantha. She's as lovely as the day is long, and has an appreciative eye for a good looking soldier boy like myself. Well, let me tell you, Andoran may be the land of democracy and equal opportunity, but General Naran does not like people having equal opportunity with his daughter. He informed me that I was to be put on special assignment with Colonel Maldris and the Pathfinders and, while he didn't exactly say so directly, I got the impression that he fervently hopes for me to be devoured by some ugly beasty with a large number of teeth.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

My proper name is Jonathan Westmoreland III, but nobody actually calls me that. The last Duke of Westmoreland was my grandfather, so it just sounds like pompous wishing for better days, long gone by. All my friends in the army called me Johnny Bugle because of this (he holds up a slightly dented military issue bugle). It suits me better.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in Andoran, land of freedom, the common man and "Duke Westmoreland, you're lucky we let you keep your head attached to your neck, so please don't mind that we're taking all your stuff."

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

As you can see, I'm a handsome fellow, but the military life has helped broaden out my shoulders a bit. I can handle myself in a fight in addition to being a pretty face. The trench coat is good old Andoran military issue, though they made me cut all the insignia off (he points to a couple of spots where some stray threads are still sticking out of the sleeve). If I'm expecting someone will be trying to stab me, I wear a chain shirt under the coat and carry a longsword so that I can stab them back.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Having a good adventure, and then going down to the pub with my friends to drink and tell stories about our good adventure. Some day, I aspire to become a Venture Captain so I can send other people out to do the dangerous bits, and I can concentrate on the drinking and telling stories part.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

People who interrupt my sleep for no good reason. Dandle Dreng, for all he gets a bad rep, at least has something important for you to do if he wakes you up at an odd hour. Captain Montalban, may the bed bugs bite him in the ass, used to wake us up in the middle of the night just to listen to the sound of his own voice and make us march to the other end of the parade ground and back.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I'm not a snobby fellow. I'll go adventuring with just about anyone, so long as they don't curl up in the corner and cry the first time things get difficult. I'm happy to drink and tell stories with just about anyone as well, though I'd prefer that you not curl up in the corner and cry during that either.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Humans are from all over the place. It's kind of hard to put us in one box. If you're going to leap to any conclusions about me, think of me as a military man. I'm part of a team, fighting with my unit, following orders . . . mostly. But I'm fun to party with when the battle's over.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that you need to be able to trust your team. If you get assigned to a unit where someone is not pulling his or her weight, that's a recipe for disaster. If you're a Pathfinder, then you'd better be good at doing something - shooting fire out of your fingertips, putting an arrow in a man's eye from one hundred paces, or just good old stabbing the other fellow before he stabs you. If you can't do any of that, then you scare me. I'll try to get you home alive if I can, but I won't like it!

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Things come and go. Bruises heal. Heck, some of those clerics can even pop your head back on and bring you back from the dead. But if you got a good story at the end of the day, then it was a good day. If you have some friends to share those stories with, then it's a great day, and probably most of a great night as well.

Sovereign Court 3/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? The whole world must witness the glory of the Pineglade family, what better way to spread the glory and bring entire nations into the service of the family than travelling the world with the Society.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? How dare you insult my surname, the Pineglade family is an esteemed family with a full and rich history! I will have you whipped for such slights!

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? The Pineglade family is a halfling family the used the turmoil of the Galt rebellions to elevate themselves above the role of servants and slaves. Being Galt, the following rebellions saw the destruction of the esteemed Pineglade house. Jack now travels the world trying to re-establish his families power and glory.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? For a self-declared noble and diplomat, Jack has a feral look to him. Jack carries very few weapons, but wears a wicked looking suit of spiked armor that as often of not still carries the ripped flesh of his past foes

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) Jack loves himself, his Glory, and the idea of a powerful Pineglade family.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) ... I don't hate anything. Mighty foes only add to my glory and the glory of the Pineglade family once they are defeated. I guess those Silver Crusade bleeding hearts are annoying, wasting resources on the lazy that are not helping themselves.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? Yes, the Venture Captains often provide a suitable entourage for my diplomatic outreach missions.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? I am not one of those lazy weak willed halflings from Cheliax that are not ready to take their future into their own hands. Do not think of me as one of those or I will take your kneecap and feed it down your own throat.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? I thought we established this already, I seek the mightiest enemies so that their fall will elevate the house Pineglade. In my life I will elevate the House Pineglade to the highest heights!

10. What is your most treasured possession? This is my porter Xue Ho. He is a devoted servant to the house Pineglade and has followed me into the darkest pits of Golarion without a single complaint. He seems to talk to himself a lot in Tian when he is stressed, but I'm sure if it was important he would speak up in Taldane... now that I think about it I've never heard him speak Taldane once, oh well.

The Exchange 5/5 5/55/55/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Travel expenses. Thats the hard part of setting up any trade deal. By the time you ship yourself from point to point B you're either dead or worse, lost all the profit you could have made shipping your goods. This way my travel expenses are covered and I travel with some of the best security money can't buy.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Its a flower. I vaguely understand its rife with meaning where you come from but honestly it just looks pretty.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Tien xi, which seems to be a little more accepting of non humans than your backwards little inner sea. Bilateral symetry is not a requirement for pleasant social interaction darling.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Anyone I want and anything I want..." dances a few steps, assuming the forms of ambroise valsin, turning places and turning into the paracountess.

My natural form is a short, slim Silver furred kitsune with a black tail tip and the most gorgeous fur you'll ever see.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Teasure's all well and good but its the chase that makes it fun. Guile, trickery, putting one over on the authorities is its own reward. On top of the rewards.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Sewers. I am really starting to hate sewers. Do you have ANY idea how hard that is to get out of fur?

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Some things simply can't be reasoned with, I need people that can handle those for me. I excel at assisting rogues with their tactics, and making sure that my meat shield stays my meatshield. here. watch...

Look at the tail. Watch the tail go back and forth. Back and forth. Niiice and relaxed. Open your mind.. there we go. The next thing to assault your mind has to go through me. You will also boc like a chicken.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

You say stereotype I say perfection of. I'm different in that I'm so much better at it than the rest of them.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I am growing less than fond of ghouls. The number of them with wayfinders makes me wonder...

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Despite my wealth, my most treasured possession is a simple wooden symbol of Daikitsune carved by a farmer in thanks for saving his villiage.

Silver Crusade 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder

To see the world, experience new places, meet beautiful women and get paid for it.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

OOC: Vaino is Finish and Mithra is Persia, but the two are not a specific combination anywhere else.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up on our family estates in the one of the northern satrapies of the Padish Empire. Strangely the Society seems to take little interest in the Empire, so I am not sure if I am a 'traditional' Keleshite in your eyes or not. I would consider myself something of an iconoclast.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Stunningly handsome, cultured and suave, clad in the finest silken robes over shining mail. Assuming I can afford the tailor's bills...

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Roses. I know it may seem a simple pleasure, but if I could afford it I would retire to a paradise to tend to my flowers, with perhaps a loaf of bread, a glass of wine and a young lady to sing songs of the olden days.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Lying manipulative scum who mistreat the vulnerable for their own ends. Slavers and the like. If I had my way every slaver on Golarion would be in his own chains.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I have only met a few of the Society, but they have all proved good companions.

8. How does your race influence your views?

A as scion of the oldest and most powerful Empire on Golarion I know that I have had an immensely privileged life and.. Oh, you meant species? Humanity is such a broad colection I am not sure that I can generalise

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

The usual things that afflict us all - pain, loneliness, death. I lay no claim to great bravery. seeing people I should protect get hurt, and not being able to help them. I am afraid of failing when I am needed.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My tea set. If I don't have a cup of tea in the morning I am no use to anyone.

Grand Lodge 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To be honest, they saved my life. If it hadn't of been for a group of pathfinders I'd be as dead as the rest of my family.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Never heard of those kingdoms. Names Collin Overdale. That's cause I lived over the dale from the nearest village. There were eight Collins who lived there, by the way. Collin Cooper, Collin Collinson, Collin the tavern owner (father of Collinson), Collin Smithson, Collin the Unlucky, Sherif Collin, Collin the candlemaker, and myself.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Does it matter? I grew up in a small farming community. The nearby village didn't even have a name. Think the land changed rulers three or for times since the bandit raid that killed my parents. Ether way, when you live out in the sticks, who you pay taxes to means less then if you can get a good harvest.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Nothing special. Got broad shoulders, but that tends to happen when you spend hours marching in heavy armor and swinging a scythe. I'm not particularly tall or short. Other then my build I wouldn't stand out in a crowd. Probably. I do tend to wear cloths made for function rather then style though.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Not much these days. The people I cared about most are gone. I've dedicated myself to being a Pathfinder, but that's more a duty then a desire. I don't care much about history or discovering long forgotten relics and lore. I do this because it matters. Because as a pathfinder, I can go where I'm needed and help people. Of course, the pay doesn't hurt either.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Bandits. Well, undead too I suppose. Skeletons and zombies are annoying to fight. But even worse, if you see them there's always someone or something making them.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I haven't been in the field long. Although if your asking about a mentor, I suppose Sargent Eric Stoutshield would count. He taught me everything I know about combat. There's also this odd kobold I've come across a few times. Can never get his name right, so I call him Kenny. He's taught me a thing or ten about traps. I hadn't known the Pathfinder Society accepted kobolds. They don't, do they?

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

You know, I don't rightly know how to answer this one. In my experience, a person's a person. Unless they're a bandit. Then they're scum.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

That I'm not good enough. Not fast enough or strong enough to protect anyone. I still have nightmares about that night. I've trained hard, I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Yet I'm always worried that it wont be enough. That when I head out there, I'll let people down and others will die. I'm not scared of my own death you see, but that others will die because I wasn't good enough to save them.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My life and friends. What, you thought I'd say something about my armor or weapons? Sargent Stoutshield would have my ears if I'd thought that way. You care for your tools, but in the end they're replaceable. Might be valuable, but still replaceable. But friends are priceless, and you only get one life. Well, most of us only get one life. I hear tales of pathfinders who've been to the Boneyard and back multiple times.

Grand Lodge 3/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? Tuition is not cheap, I signed up for the Master of Scrolls recruitment scholarship. now I'm working off the two years of field service vith the Society clause. An vho know, maybe some time in the field before choosing a thesis vill be good.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
It is a name like any other, my parents gave it to me. But I did find the same spelling of my surname on an arcane map of another plane of existence, it vas the name of a city in a nation called 'italy', most strange.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? I grew up in Ustalav, my parents moved there to study mathematics at the University of Lepidstadt. Although I vas raised in a house of science and philosophy, the lore of the nation always fascinated me. I spent much of my youth at the ragged coat tails of Varisians, listening to tales of verevolves and the undead monstrosities that go bump in the night.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?[ooc] Van Vische is clean dressed in a tailored suit that blends the utilitarian demands of a field agent and a sense of style that does not offend the higher classes. Ever present is the Pathfinder Society flag hanging from his long spear, this flag is displayed proudly in all but the most sensitive missions.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) Discounting experience? The lessons ve learn on road and the knowledge ve acquire is the only one thing that truly matters.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) I really do appreciate the guards the Society sends along on my endeavors, but their absolute reliance on physical might with no consideration for coordinated battle tactics is infuriating. I took the 115 and 215 electives in strike force tactics, I wish they would listen to me, I know what I'm talking about.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? A field agent is nothing in isolation, it is the full team that makes a mission successful.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? Well this is a loaded topic, I am in the privileged position of being a human is a world dominated by and made for humans. So I try to be aware of the privilege I receive, and try to be aware of the struggles me compatriots face that I can not relate to.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? Everyone knows that a ghoul bite paralyzes, did you know they carry a fever that will turn you into a ghoul if it goes untreated? Did you know that a clay golem can only be harmed by an adamantine hammer, do you know how rare those are, most hired escorts only carry adamantine swords. Did you know a Living Topiary can teleport away through any nearby brush, absorb other plants to heal itself, and then return to the fight full strength? Yes, there is a lot I'm afraid of.

10. What is your most treasured possession? My journal chronicling these missions are invaluable. I know when it is time to prepare my thesis, these notes will be invaluable. And vho knows, if I can weasel through the IP agreements I might be able to write a book.

Vaino Mithra wrote:

*Finnish

Also, you may want to know that by omitting the accents, you've changed the name quite a bit. Väinö is an old and traditional Finnish male name that derives from the mythic hero Väinämöinen. Vaino is not a name, but instead a noun that means "persecution".

Dark Archive

1. Why am I a Pathfinder? The short answer is socio-economic disparity and racially entrenched caste systems combined with morally unscrupulous household governance. The long answer is that I was born a slave to a household where the master's son had taken up the hobby of necromancy, and experimenting on the other slaves of the household. In the struggle between myself and my late master, my own talents over the undead revealed themselves, and after his unfortunate death at the hands of his creations, I had to flee, where I was then captured, but thereafter purchased and granted my freedom by the Pathfinder Society.

2. Do I have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? I do not believe my name to be derived from any particular facet which could be deemed 'popular culture', although I am quite fun at parties.

3. Which nation did I grow up in? Osirion. How did this influence me? I think it's given me a deeper understanding of the nature of an undead's situation, they struggle eternally to hold onto a shadow of life, most often having been the rich and powerful while living, yet in their undead state they are objectively at the whims of others moreso than I was as a slave.

4. What do I look like? What am I wearing? You're being rather forward with this dear, but I'll entertain you. I'm a halfling woman with a notably darker complexion than most halflings from Avistan. Dark hair that I like to keep straight, and a tattoo to Fumeiyoshi, Lord of Envy on my collar bone above my left breast. For clothes, I keep to wearing some lovely blue robes over my armor. It makes for quite the humorous situation when foes try hitting me, only for their weapons to bounce off my breastplate.

How does this vary when I'm stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? When I'm 'roughing' it, I tend to wear robes with a shorter hem, so they're less likely to drag in the filth.

5. What do I love? Well, that'd be breaching someone else's privacy, which I don't do.

6. What do I hate? Undead that think they're superior by virtue of their undeath. They do not possess anything, they lack everything that keeps them in touch with the realities of the world and how to rule. As such they're fit only as servants.

7. Which other Pathfinders do I rely on? Honestly, the arrangement of agents I work with changes regularly, but a certain Azuk, and several of his late brothers, have proven competent at distracting foes.

8. How does my race influence my views? I'd say it has made me rather prickly over issues of slavery.

9. What am I afraid of? Becoming undead myself, it's a dreadful state that should be reserved for fools and fops that have squandered the gifts of life, so that they may be used for some benefit before crumbling to dust.

10. What is my most treasured possession? My tattoo to Lord Fumeiyoshi.

The Exchange 3/5 *

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

In a word, travel. I wouldn't get to meet so many fascinating peoples of different cultures if I stayed on board a pirate ship. Well, OK, I might meet them, but only long enough to kill them and take their stuff, which brings me to the next reason, it's basically organized and often sanctioned plundering. What are the goals of the Society? To explore, report and cooperate? Somewhere in there they forgot to mention looting ancient sites of their valuable treasures, historical, artisic, magical, or a combination of all of those. In my last mission we actually got to board and seize a ship and its cargo and it was all LEGAL! Heloooo, Cha-CHING!

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular
culture?

Ursahla. Yeah well, maybe it was borrowed from an evil sea witch in an animated film that was adapted from a popular earth tale, and then moddified slightly, but not everyone can be Urgrax the Unquenchable, whatever that means.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up off the shores of The Shackles, living beneath the waves. But I was so facscinated by what all those people were doing I spent a lot of time living among them. That's when I discovered that not only were there humans like them, there were all sorts of humans.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

What would you like me to look like? What would you like me to wear? Would you prefer a Mwangi girl in in tribal garb or maybe a Osiriani dancer? I could even be a moody Chelaxian lady in a fancy black gown if it suits you. Buy me something pretty and I'll try it on for you.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Treasure doesn't count? What sort of dumb rule is that? I like fancy clothing and jewels and stuff and usually you need treasure to buy all that. I love being pampered too. Warm baths, cold drinks, but you get all that stuff with money too. Though actually I love humans. I love being human all different kinds of humans in fact. I love their quirks, their culture, their languages, the clothes, the hair. Oh, that reminds me. Someone told me this was wierd about me, but I didn't see it. So when someone tries to kill me or my friends for some reason, and they end up being the ones getting killed. I always make sure to shave off their hair so I can turn it into a wig later. I mean that's not odd is it? It would be a shame for that hair to go to waste. They said it was macabre, especially the way I sing bawdy sea shanties while I do it, but people often sing while they work with their hands, and those are the songs I grew up with!

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Well, besides people who dismiss wealth and power as motivations? People who underestimate me and draw conclusions based on appearances. I guess I also love proving those people wrong, even if sometimes it's the last lesson they ever learned and learned it at the moment of their death.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Other Pathfinders? I guess whoever they send with me. It's not like they give me a choice. As far as I get tell they just put all the names of the Pathfinders into a barrel and pull out a team's worth of names. None if it ever seems to make much sense. I do prefer to work with those who know how to listen to my brilliant ideas.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I'm not like most humans at all, except when I want to be, and then I can be just about any human I want to be.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Fears? When you can change your hair on a whim, not bad hair days. Probably isolation. I would go CRAZY if there wasn't someone around to hear me talk.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My wig collection. All that beautiful hair, and I can wear whatever one suits my mood.

Sovereign Court 5/5

Kell the devil, Iveri(sp) the burning.

Acid, It ruins my fur and smells terrible.

Dark Archive 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

My house's establishments in Sargava fell on hard times. Fortunately, house Dralneen owed us a small debt.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Earth?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in Sarvaga, where I learned the benefits of civilization, and the need to defend it from savagery, and worse, corruption.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Currently, I prepare to put on my scale mail and my father's helm to serve in my confirmation. One day, I hope to earn the armor of a true Hellknight, then I will need no other garb.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Order, discipline, a tidy room, meat pies.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Distractions, clutter, and sweet potatoes.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I have established none yet. I hope my confirmation shall change that.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

There is one thing that sets my house apart from most modern Chelaxians. We have not forgotten our old faith, and endeavor to keep the traditions of Aroden alive in this age.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I've seen too many die to the venoms of Sargava's snakes as a child. I despise serpents in all forms.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

The silver holy symbol of Aroden that has been in my house since Aroden still lived.

Scarab Sages

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
The hellknight order has far less representation, then it ought too. I strive to hold back the wandering, murder enthused among us, so as to point them in a direction that best suits my nation and my Order.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
I do not understand your term of 'Earth' is this a celestial realm that I have not heard of?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in the greatest nation to ever exist, Cheliax. It served me by showing me the proper conduct of a Baron, as well as how one should behave in polite society.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I stand tall in my Adamantine Hellknight Plate Armor, with a Signifiers mask adorning the helm. My Heavy Shield shines with the symbols of all of the Dieties of the Godclaw. I have served each one faithfully during my time adventuring, the Adamantine symbol currently around my neck is of Abbadar. On my back I carry a Great Sword that was given to me by my brother in arms, It glows ghostly white and serves as a direct connection to hell when the need arises.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
My Gods, my fellow Hellknights, and my island that was given to me for services rendered to Cheliax.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
The chaos that comes from fighting beside certain groups of pathfinders. *sideways glance at former taldors*

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I would at a guess say the Rager known as Grognak, as he sees reason even if he wishes to live his life free of nobles.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
*Looks down at his hellknight armor* I don't understand how you could ask me such a stupid question,*few seconds pause* peasant.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Haunts, for they are never the same and sometimes they don't seem to follow rules of engagment that make any kind of sense.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My signifiers mask of course, why do you ask this of me?

Silver Crusade

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
"To travel the world righting wrongs and protecting those that need it."

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
"Voren is not an uncommon name for one of my kind, as far as I'm aware. I do not have a surname."

I added Kcalberif because the site wouldn't let me just call him Voren.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
"I spent my youth on the streets of Sothis as one of the Devil Rats. When the Dune Dogs wiped us out, I was saved from death by Sarenrae's radiance (wielded by a novice cleric who has since become my dearest friend). After that, I lived and trained in the Monastery of the Blooming Dawn, which is roughly 60 miles upriver from Sothis.

"I believe this background instilled my compassion and protectiveness."

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
"This is what I always wear."

He wears slightly specialized monk's robes covered in Sarenite symbology. The specialization is the addition of a hood and facial covering, which he keeps up at almost all times (this does not hide the glow of his eyes, which look like twin embers of hellfire). Most of his arms are visible, covered in tough, coal-black skin. His nails look like polished obsidian claws, and his tail ends in a diamond-shaped protrusion. Beneath the coverings, Voren's head is entirely hairless and crowned with a sextet of small horns. His teeth are sharper than a human's, and his features scream cruelty.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
"The Dawnflower. Aiding those that need it."

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
"The vicious and cruel, and any who inflict harm for no good reason."

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
"I am not often assigned to work with the same individuals. The closest thing I have to a mentor, apart from those that taught me in the monastery, would be Khet, the cleric I mentioned earlier."

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
"I would rather avoid the use of stereotypes."

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
"There are always those you cannot save, but it stills hurts when it happens."

He is also afraid of falling, being consumed by the evil that taints him.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
"People are far more important than possessions."

Dark Archive

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
"For the pursuit of knowledge, of course."

Particularly if that knowledge furthers the aims of her clan.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
Yes.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
"I grew up in an out-of-the-way village in Varisia. As for the other question..." She shrugs.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
It's easiest just to quote her profile page:

Description:
Cathran wears explorer's garb in black and assorted blues. Her skin has a dusky hue and her back-length hair is golden-brown. Her eyes are a striking violet and her ears come to points, though she is clearly not a full-blooded elf. She has four purple tattoos of abstract, swirling design; one on her left shoulder, two more wrapped around her left bicep, the last just above her left wrist. Her tattoos are not visible through her clothing.

"I find an explorer's outfit comes in handy just about everywhere."

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
"My family,

In Varisian:
even if Cal can be an idiot.
Solving mysteries, learning new things..." She pauses, thinking it over. "A good beer. A good lay. A good meal. A night under the stars. I think that's all I've got."

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Her expression hardens and she speaks with surprising venom. "Goblins."

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
"My grandfather has been a mentor and idol to me for my whole life. He's pretty great."

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
"I grew up in a town with humans and elves and half-elves and whoever else heard the call, so I'm pretty open-minded."

She dislikes Chelaxians, thinks Taldans are arrogant, Ustalavs and Nidalese are creepy, Andorens are almost as arrogant as Taldans, Galtans are crazy, and Ulfens and Shoanti are primitives.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
"I don't see why that's any business of yours."

She secretly worries about the nature of the force that calls to her clan.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
"My notebooks. When they're full, they'll be added to our library of such works, and serve to advance the clan's knowledge and interests."

Grand Lodge 2/5

You know, this is rather interesting. I think I'll do ones for my characters too. Though I think I'll leave out the ones that are already level twelve.

First up: Dalinia Bellize

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

"Well, thats an easy one." She grins wide. "To see new things, and learn new exciting stories. Including my own.~" She reaches around to a bag on her side and pulls out a Pathfinder's Chronicle and holds it up to be seen. "And to record them into these. Hehe~"

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

The woman has a confused look on her face. "My name? Hm, I just know my folks came from Taldor, but I am firmly a native of Absalom. Dalinia, because they felt that it rolls off the tongue, and my family name of Bellize. That is something I never really questioned though" She shrugs then ponders a bit. "Are there really various myths on the plane of earth?"

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

"Born and raised in Absalom." She smiles wide again. "With the home of the Pathfinder Society here, why wouldn't you want to be a Pathfinder!"

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

She ruffles her blonde hair a bit as she thinks of a response. When she figures out something, she stands. "Well, I have blonde hair, and rather fair skin. Something of my heritage I guess. Also have blue eyes too."

She spins around slowly to show off what she is currently wearing. It is a rugged Explorer's Outfit, that has been slightly modified to show off a bit more of her skin. "I like dressing up like this. Be it for exploration, or..." She takes off a little clear bracelet and slips it back on, which causes her clothing's appearance to change into a Courtier's Outfit with similar modifications. "When talking in a more noble setting, this rather nice dress. I have a real one though. But this is hardly a place to change! Unless... No, never mind."

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

She quickly responds. "Stories. Experience of the world. Well, a good roll in the hay, or where ever." She shrugs again and reverts her appearance back to normal. "And clothing. Good clothing that accents the natural humanoid body."

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

She frowns at the thought. "The destruction of History and Knowledge." She ponders a bit. "And the Government of Cheliax. Destroying their own history just to prove their point." She sits back down upon the chair. "And slavery. Arshea teaches us to be free, regardless of form or what have you. So slavery is a rather disgusting practice as well."

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

She tilts her head to recall her past. "Well, I have journeyed with many other Pathfinders up to this point. I don't really have much of a those things, I just like to help people succeed. After all, the motto is Explore, Report, and Cooperate."

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

She looks around the area then back to the Questioner. "I don't think I am a stereotype of a regular human being. I mean, I probably wouldn't mind running around nude for once. But that would be rude to others. Hmm..." She ponders a bit. "Well... I think I am just a normal human girl, exploring this strange world."

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

"Being destitute or getting caught and put into slavery. Both are simply wrong." She states flatly.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

"Hm, that is a toughy. I guess my Wayfinder? Oh, I also like all of the Chronicles I have collected so far too." She looks a bit pensive thinking on something quickly before continuing. "Well, of course my family. Who wouldn't if they went off on a good note."

Paizo Employee 4/5 **

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
At first, it was just to gather more information about the Red Mantis. Now I'm legitimately proud to be called a Pathfinder and a proud member of Taldor's courts.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
Viscount Kircheis von Lohengramm? I first read the name in a book, but it's not my given name. I gave up that when I became a slave, and gave up my slave name when I earned my freedom.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
While nostalgic for my youthful days back in Tian Xia, I've changed the most out of the family I've been able to get in contact with. My time as a slave in Cheliax taught me how malleable the truth really was. And while it set me free, I know first-hand, especially in the courts of Taldor, that it's a double-edged sword.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I'm grateful for the spellcasters capable of watching out my noble attire. I've been criticized for keeping my hair so long, but I made a promise with my siblings we wouldn't cut it until we had a home again, not that it's ever come up before in casual conversation. I tend to keep a notebook on me at all times, you never know when inspiration is going to strike.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Mystery Books. Solving mysteries too.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Being looked down upon. But also people who aren't willing to stand up for themselves, despite hating their lot in life.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
(My PCs) I'm very proud of the members of my family who've joined the society. Miyuki and Youko are too unrefined. Haku is a bit of disappointment, as we expected him to take over the family but he values money over political clout. As for the rest of the Court? June is a pest and her superiors are just jealous of my greatness.

(My NPC) My brother is still my top suspect in trying to uncover who rallied the local lord to hire to Aspis to raze our village. He left the village years prior, but I looked up to him...

(Other PCs; Some Names Written Elsewhere) While physical contact would make me consider burning my gloves, I wouldn't mind testing my mettle against Zula. (Desna Cleric) has my full support and respect, having opened my eyes to the possibilities of reverence to my homeland's gods. (Hampster) saved my life against those shades and I will do anything to repay the favor. (John's Talden) is a true member of the Court and the kind we need more if we are ever to become more than mere courtiers!

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Kitsune? I guess I'm a bit less casual about keeping my race a secret than most, and I'm not a spellcaster, like most I've encountered. I do enjoy tricking people on occasion, but I've never been very good at it. It leaves me with a paranoid streak.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Dogs. Every time.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My Belt. The buckle is made out of bits of chain from when I was a slave, but I've only recently removed the shackles since joining the Pathfinders. My Jade Wayfinder has a special place in my heart, too, since I've learned to love the lodge (so to speak).

Paizo Employee 4/5 **

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
There is no better way to travel the world without giving up control of your own destiny.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
(Literally named after my old Dog? I mean it means white and he's a white fox?)

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
The outskirts where our village sat has been the home to bandits and feuding lords long enough to teach me one important lesson: Money is the only source of power, and trade the only true source of security. If you don't control either, you don't control anything. My time as a slave in Qadira taught me the importance of money.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
White robes over breast-plate, although I've had to take whatever gear the lodge provided me in other climates. Sewers are a nightmare and I'm grateful my magic is capable of cleaning myself. I don't like hiding my tails in human form, unlike most of my kin, but I understand the need to disguise myself when things get tricky.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
I loved a human, once. I had thought we were destined only to be together in death, but her heart was fickle. Now I love freedom and the ability to make my own choices in life, which usually means controlling my wealth. I also have a fondness for romance novels.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Short-sighted and brash dismissal over shrewd economic being the key to prosperity and peace.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
(My PCs) Miyuki and Youko are my naive nieces. Kircheis is my brash and outspoken cousin. When I get enough money, I'm going to buy a real home we can all be proud of, again. Maybe my cousin will even renounce his evil ways and join us...

(Other PCs; Names unavailable right now): (Undeath BL Sorcerer) is my rival in magic and economics, whom I will gladly fight alongside if not just to prove myself.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I am a proud six-tailed fox and Nine-Tailed Scion destined to lead my clan...someday. I'm not especially enthused or prepared, but I accept that someday I'll find myself ready to make that choice. I get a real hoot out of tricking people and causing confusion in the ranks, especially to people who deserve it.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Skunks. Losing control of my mental faculties (or being enchanted).

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My Star Gem, one of the last mementos I have of our original home. I'm starting to grow fond of my caravan as well.

Dark Archive 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To learn more about magic. I'm just starting out in the arcane arts, and I want to become as powerful as possibly, so I can defend my homeland in the north from those awful winter witches, and their creepy little dolls.

That's also why I joined the Dark Archive. I don't really trust the Paracountess or the devils she works with, but I suspect that's the best place to learn as much as possible about magical power.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Earth? I'm not familiar with that one. But I think my parents got my name about some stories about distant worlds, and a legion of young heroes, one of whom had red hair and magical power like me.

It's an obscure one, that I doubt anyone will recognize from this name. Even if I told you her superhero name, only readers of a particular comic book from a particular time period would know it.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I was born in Losthome, in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, near the eastern border with Irrisen. Like everyone born there, I grew up hearing horror stories of the winter witches of Irrisen, their chicken legged shacks that wander the country side, and their living dolls that take children away, never to be seen again. They always creeped me out.

That's part of what inspired me to study magic. I want to learn how to beat those evil witches at their own game, and defend my home from witches and creepy little dolls.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

As you can see, I'm a cute teenage human girl with very light skin, green eyes, long red hair, and excellent fashion sense. Since my power is all magical, I don't bother with weapons and armor, so I look pretty much the same whereever I go.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

My family and friends back home. That's why I want to gain magical power to protect them.

And also this cute wittle bunny wabbit with the same color of red hair as me. His name is Aleph. He helps me with my magic.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Witches. I mean... the evil winter witches from Irrisen. And those creepy little dolls I've heard about that they use to kidnap children. *shudder*

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I'm still new here, and I've spent most of my training reading books, so I don't know many people yet.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, I'm not big and strong like most people expect from an Ulfen. That's why magic suits me better than weapons and armor.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

See my answer to the "hates" question.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My magic power, and my connection to Aleph, my cute wittle bunny familiar.

Sovereign Court 2/5 **

Linda Wellheart

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Joined the Exchange because it seems like good opportunity to earn gold. Also, she is thrill seeker, meaning adventurer at heart.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Wellheart. Gained from her mother. She doesn't like her parents, who neglected her.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Absalom. I don't know much about that city, so I chose it because it's melting pot of nations and races.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

When not on a mission, brown and white city girl clothes. When on mission, Plate Armor, with skirt and symbol of Calistria on shield. Heavy!

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Children, sweets. She like cute things, kitsune. Also very much likes men.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Insects, water, bitter things, risking.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Charter does not made considerable allies as of yet.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

As half-elf, she took more from her Elf father. She worshipping Calistria, and was quite kinky at earlier age. Now she calmed down.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

She can't swim, so she is afraid of water. Nearly drowning at early age didn't help it. She got phobia of insects that she does not know of. Thought that something this small can be poisonous to the point of death terrifies her.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Her three children. All from different fathers, whom she does not even know. Surprisingly, they are Elf girl 8 years old, half-elf boy 10 years old, and human girl of 12 years old, residing inside orphanage in winch she lives between missions (being Half-Elf do bring some surprises like children of different races). Raising them became her life goal, that why she does not like risks and need money.

Dark Archive

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
After I realised the life of a Monk wasn't for me, I sailed to Absalom and after a while decided to join the Pathfinder Society for recognition and riches.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
What is Earth?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up on the Isle of Jalmeray. It influenced me by disciplining my physical regimen, and teaching me to fight with my hands.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
Some loose traveling clothes, which rarely changes as it fits so many environments so well.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
The acquisition of artifacts and knowledge, and the application towards my own personal gain.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Indecision and ineffectiveness.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I work well with practically everyone else.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I doubt that I'm significantly different due to my race. My own personal views, perhaps, but not my race.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Dying alone in a deep, dark hole. I will probably drag someone down with me.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
At the moment, my Wayfinder.

Dark Archive 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
To be honest, becoming a Pathfinder wasn't something I'd considered until a few years ago; I'd expected to be more of an academic wizard, or maybe run a magic item shop in a city somewhere. Some acquaintances at the Twilight Academy in Galduria did try to convince me to join the Dark Archive, but it didn't really interest me at the time. However, after my father and brother were murdered by giants seeking a magical treasure, I realized that there were far too many poorly-understood magical devices hidden across Golarion, just waiting to fall into the hands of the unenlightened, and I decided that I needed to take matters into my own hands - I don't always agree with the other members of the Dark Archive, but they definitely understand the importance of collecting and researching such devices.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
OOC: To the best of my knowledge, the name "Kelmyrion" is my own creation. I've been using it or variations thereof for several years now, but I think it originally grew out of the name "Myron".

"Tinuvaul", on the other hand, was based on a list of suggested names for Golarion elves, since most of the places I've used it didn't ask for a surname.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I'm from Varisia, specifically the town of Sandpoint - my father moved the family there from Magnimar when I was young. Life on the frontier being what it is, I made sure to devote a fair bit of my arcane studies to self-defense and combat magic, even before I had any intention of using it on a regular basis.

Growing up in a mostly human town also gave me a certain respect for the fragility of life, even before I lost members of my own family - one develops a certain appreciation for the benefits of an elven lifespan when surrounded by those who are given only a relatively modest number of decades.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I have the slight build common to most elves. I'm told that my dark hair gives me a certain "piercing" look - I've been working on learning to soften my facial expressions.

While I do have a set of the traditional academic wizard's robes for formal occasions, they never seemed particularly practical to me. I mostly wear simple trousers and dark shirts, especially when adventuring.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
I always had a close relationship with my family, and I try to visit my mother and sister in Magnimar as often as possible. I'm looking forward to the day when I'll be able to teleport there myself with relative ease.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Giants and goblins, who were a frequent danger in Sandpoint even before the attack that killed my father and brother. I forced myself to learn their vile languages so that I would be better prepared to face them, but it was a task I found most unpleasant.

More generally, I have little patience for those who without an appreciation for the potential threat of powerful magic, especially fellow Pathfinders who ought to know better. I've been try to keep a close eye on the Master of Scrolls in particular ever since that whole Sky Key incident.

And while "hate" is too strong a word, I would be remiss not to mention my ... distaste for those of my colleagues (not to mention superiors) in the Dark Archive who are seem more interested in personal power than our greater mission of learning and safeguarding powerful magics. I sometimes wonder if the Paracountess herself truly understands the importance and promise that we could bring to Golarion if we truly realized that vision. There may come a time when a certain amount of ... housekeeping is in order.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Two of my colleagues from the Dark Archive stand out: A fellow wizard named Xorlen was of great assistance on some of my earliest missions for the Society, acting as both mentor and friend. There was also a monk whose name I regretably cannot recall at the moment (a rather predictable problem when one takes a vow of silence, I would imagine).

I've also recently taken on J. Dacilane as an apprentice - I've been helping her to understand and control her psychic gifts, which in turn has been most enlightening for me.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I would say that I'm a fairly typical elf, insofar as such a thing exists.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I have a healthy fear of ghosts and similar spirits, having seen firsthand the threat that they can pose on more than a few occasions. That said, my biggest worry is that I could lose my way like some of my fellow Dark Archivists and become more focused on power than creating a safer world.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
I would like to say my family signet ring, but if I'm being truly honest my spellbook probably wins out these days.

Grand Lodge 3/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
PC#1 (Monk)- I've had no true place to call home; the monastery i was raised in I've left behind to see the world. Joining the Society is a way to see the world, earn some money doing so, honing my skills, and righting wrongs.
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Super fun adventures! Meeting new people, spizzaking evil things, going to uber-dangerous ruins! :D Much more exciting things than the traveling carnival i traveled with.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
PC#1 (Monk)- Dhalys-Rin. Monk's claim its an old name of an elven warrior. I haven't truly looked into it.
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Spaknir, Sorcerer par Excellance I have more (self-proclaimed) titles, but I don't like being long winded.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
PC#1 (Monk): I was raised in a monastery near the border in Tian Xia. Where I was born, I don't know. My parents left me in the care of the monks. Being raised in the monastery, mostly ignorant of how society works, has left me with a blunt and "matter of factly" demeanor.
PC#2 (Sorcerer): Originally from the River Kingdoms, I've travelled most of Avistan with a traveling carnival. I'm a gnome, people i meet influence me more than the places i've been.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
PC#1 (Monk)- Female, Half-elf. 6'1" black hair and brown eyes. When I'm not out adventuring, my day to day garb is similar to my training gi. during festivities, i wear a kimono. When I'm out adventuring, I have my battle-gi (Monk's Robes) and some boots that protect me from arctic environs (Boots of the Winterland).
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Male, Gnome, 3'8" blue hair and green eyes. I'm always sporting my spiffy magic duds (Sorcerer Robes). When out adventuring, if needed, i have some basic outfits that may come in handy.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
PC#1 (Monk)- Saying I don't "love" anything may leave me sounding heartless- i base it off my being raised in a monastery. I really enjoy tranquility & serenity and a relaxing day listening to the adventures of my companions.
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Not Bleaching! Adventures, new people, surviving to live another day. Booze! No, wait... After that incident... not so much.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
PC#1 (Monk)- Abuses of power: be it from a selfish nobleman that purposely run us through his trap-ridden mansion, or a judge who exiles a spurned lover; demons; spellcasters and their mirror image spells; teammates rushing plans without making any plans. Worst of all- people calling me "Doll."
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Evil things that want to end the world. But there's so much to enjoy, i can't hate too many things for too long.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
[Both PCS] Quite a few. No mentors, just a collective sense of camaraderie.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
PC#1 (Monk)- Being raise in a monastery near the borders of Tian Xia, there were a lot of students learning the many styles. Students of many races, the masters weren't exclusionary. I'm a half-elf, I don't know my lineage.
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- As a gnome, the one thing about my race that influences me in general- is obviously avoiding the Bleaching. Other than that, who am i to judge how i act in comparison to other gnomes?

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
PC#1 (Monk)- Literally losing myself. After being struck by a Chaos Beast, that was the first moment i'd ever feared for my life. I've been to the World Wound and faced off against demons, against a minotaur in his own maze. Being unable to control my body or use what i've been taught, that scares me.
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- Other then the Bleaching, finding out that I learned Dwarven... by reading a book, or taking a class. *shivers* the boredom, the monotony! *runs out of room screaming*

10. What is your most treasured possession?
PC#1 (Monk)- My training, my experience, my companions. My inadvertent "vow of poverty" doesn't leave me with a want for extravagance. Most of what i have is neccessities for surviving- like my [i]Amulet of Armored Fist[/b].
PC#2 (Sorcerer)- ME!

Liberty's Edge 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
It's fun work that needs doing - I get to see the world, meeting interesting people, and make a difference in their lives. I also want to raise the public image of half-orcs - there were times growing up when I could've used someone like a Pathfinder to stand up for me and my family.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
"Cecilia" apparently means "blind" in a language I've only ever heard about called "Italian", which I guess is appropriate given how much my parents went on about not judging by appearances (as if just being a half-orc didn't drill that into you). I've also heard that there's some religious group called "Catholics" who have Saint Cecilia as the patron saint of music - that's pretty accurate, me being a bard and all.

By the way, it's pronounced "che-chee-ly-ah", but I've pretty much given up anyone outside of my family knowing that.

"Zaconi" isn't supposed to mean anything, it's just my own variation on a typical Varisian surname.

My parents also gave me an orc name, "Az'nika", but they're the only ones who ever call me that - the half-orcs in Kaer Maga had it hard enough without speaking Orc all the time.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I'm from the half-orc community in Kaer Maga - I'd say it's on the rough side of town, but Kaer Maga doesn't really have a soft side. Later on I moved to Korvosa with my brother.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I'm a tall, beautiful young woman. Most half-orcs have rough, scarred skin, but I was lucky enough to be born without that. A fellow bard once said my skin was "the color of faded jade", which I thought was sweet. It was certainly a lot better than a lot of the lines that got thrown my way back home.

My clothes are mostly light, functional, and yes, a little revealing. What can I say? If my looks are gonna get me into trouble sometimes, the least they can do is get me out of it at others. That said, I've learned to be careful, so these days I wear my mithral chain shirt pretty much everywhere and just use Disguise Self to hide it if I need to go to something formal.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
My brother and I are real close, even if G (that's Grigore Zaconi, if you're curious) doesn't like to show it too much.

As a bard, I obviously also really like music, and I try to learn more of it everywhere I go. Still working on pronouncing the ones I learned in Goka, though. I particularly like some of the songs written during the Peoples' Revolt in Andoran.

Oh, and there's nothing quite like a nice hot meal at the end of a long day of adventuring.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
People who prey on the weak and defenseless - I saw this a lot growing up in Kaer Maga. It was especially bad when it was other half-orcs, tearing their own house apart when they should've been supporting each other. Thankfully my parents made sure I knew how to defend myself, so I wasn't the easy target that the local gang leader took me for when he tried to make me his *shudder* "conquest".

On a bigger level, I hate the divisions and class structures that created that situation in the first place, and others like it all over the world. Good thing people like Major Maldris working to change all that.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Well, there's my big brother G; he and I signed up at the same time.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I dunno if it's being a half-orc or growing up in a slum, but one or the other led me toward Liberty's Edge. Wiping out slavery seems like as good a place as any to start working on giving people a hand out of the gutter.

Of course, how many half-orcs are known for their singing voices?

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I'm afraid of being powerless. That might seem a bit strange for a Pathfinder since getting in over our heads is practically in the job description, but since danger seems perfectly capable of finding me anyway...

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My wits, though my magic shortbow is proving pretty handy too.

Grand Lodge 1/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
My druidic powers came to me slowly, and I've never really understood them. Being a member of the Grand Lodge allows me to learn from other druids, experience more of the world, and put my talents to good use.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
"Gonyar" is probably not a unique name, but as far as I know I didn't get it from anywhere specifically.

I'm from a tiny mining community, so we didn't have last names, but they wanted one when I signed on as a Pathfinder and after hearing my story someone suggested "Deepson".

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I'm from a small underground mining community in the Five Kings Mountains. I assumed I'd be a miner like everyone else until my connection with the earth became clear and I left to explore it more deeply.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
Being a Dwarven community, everyone just relied on their darkvision rather than bothering keeping torches lit, so for most of my life I saw everything in black and white. I was shocked and amazed to discover the rich variety of colors you have here on the surface. I don't know why people don't take more advantage of it.

Gonyar doesn't really get the concept of color coordination, so he's wearing hide armor painted green and gold, with red boots and a sky blue hat.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Me? I, uh ... don't really ... have anyone that I, um ... excuse me for a moment.

Recites a prayer to Bolka, the Dwarven goddess of marriage.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
We didn't have to deal much with lawbreakers in our small community, so I find the level of crime here on the surface most disconcerting.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I've enjoyed getting to know other druids through the Society, but there are none I'm particularly close to.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I don't think I'm all that different from other dwarves.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I'm uncomfortable with things I don't understand, especially given that I still have little experience with my druidic powers - I worry that someday that lack of experience might prove costly for my companions.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
I'm, uh, not sure.

His hand subconsciously drifts to the golden ring he wears on a chain around his neck, the holy symbol of Bolka.

Scarab Sages

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To have chance to explore all kind of weird places and meet all kinds of people.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Yes and no. Kyoth is meant to sounds Tian Xian'ish. And well Sunblade can be considered ripoff since it probably appears in dozens of games, but for me it's based on Tsukiyo/Shizuru interaction my Suli character has.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Spent most of the time in Tian-Xian and grew up with Samsarans. Probably explains why my character is Tsukiyo's paladin and a ninja.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Fullplate, heavy shield and katana. No matter where I go. My character also has few followers following him. Samsaran squire and herald who is a gnome who is riding a dog (dog is found from chronicle sheet, so I gave it to my follower as fluff)

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Collecting weird items from inviduals I meet during my pathfinder adventures. So far I got stuff like: Taldor propaganda, human bones, long needles etc. I like to make requests NPCs and ask their personal items for myself. (Usually works, since I'm diplomancer with 23 in diplomacy) And of course turnips with toffee sauce, I always carry them around. One of the gnomes in my party had them and my character fell in love with the food.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Evil things. Actual evil things. I like everything mad and weird, but if it's evil it's against my will.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

This character has not befriended anyone particular. But he gets along with the weird ones. (usually gnomes)

He needs other melee characters to work in full potential in group. (sneak attacks and vanishing trick)

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Being Suli is quite hard. Character was actually raised by Samsarans and became paladin of Tsukiyo. So he understands those not accepted because beign certain race or just weird.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Nah.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My sack of weird and wonderful stuff I collect during my adventures. And my katana of course.

Silver Crusade 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
The organization is such a young and,. . . unguided group. It was very sad to see so many of their number grind the group's name through the mud some years back, but it is not beyond saving. It was close at one point, with the Society's unrepentant betrayal of the true Lodge, but even then, as difficult as it was, we had to force ourselves to remember all of those in need of a guide towards the higher path, even if it meant working with those who where beyond our help.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
I was not given a name in the convention of your mortal customs. I simply am, and have been called by this name for many years.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I was not "born", and as such, I did not "grow up". Not in the fashion I believe that you mean, friend. While it is true that I am the son of my Father and Mother, and moreso than in the sense that same faithful use as an expression to better relate to the divine, I simply came into being, a product, I suppose of my heritage. When I truly become an angel, when Mother finds me ready, I suppose that will be a fashion of my "growing up". It is hard for me to understand this, so I hope that I have explained it well enough?

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
My appearance is, obvious, I would think. I have been described as gentle and caring, and,. . . you must forgive me, as I know this is a joke of some sort, but I do not understand it's humor, "warm". When I ascend, I enter a short sleep, it is one of the few times I sleep like a mortal, to allow more of my divine nature to be revealed in this vessel. The last time I did so, I was gifted with these wings. I feel that this is a sign that I am on the right path, but I can only guess just how much further I must walk it.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
I sometimes find it difficult to explain. Walking a path that must remain close to both Father and Mother, I am sometimes unsure which to follow when they differ, and my soul is different than that of mortals, that I do not have the same sort of inner Wayfinder, knowing deep within what is right or wrong. I love helping others to find the light within themselves, turning from the blackness that they so easily miss surrounding them to drag them towards death. I know it is a pun, though it's humor is lost on me once again, but, on this plane, before I am past it, my greatest desire is to be the candle that fights against the darkness so that it can light the others around me, and together we can also help to defend other's and light their flames as well.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
I am not sure that I hate it, but mortal's capacity for indifference, and despite the many gifts they have been given to truly understand the soul, and to use it, I find so many of you lacking in discernment of what is truly important. The needs and wants of this world are so fleeting. The things you are told are so important really mean so little. Instead, the things that truly matter, are often looked upon as amongst the least relevant or unworthy.
I do suppose that I do hate those that cause others harm, or take without knowing the true ramifications of their actions. I do not accept that they are truly so incompetent that they, as they claim "do not care". But even they are simply lost, and in need of help. It is difficult, in times like these, to weigh my actions between Father's path and that of my Mother's, for each is better, or more needed, both in the short term and in the long term, and even I can only estimate if it is better to cut out the sickness before it can spread, or to be patient and heal it so that all may be made stronger.
I can say that, besides the most obvious enemies of the light, Fiends, corruptors, and the unliving, and I shall speak more on this later, the utter vileness of the followers of Man, and the shear evil of that nation's faith stands very high on my list.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I find it oddly ironic that, despite never having actually joined your Pathfinder Society, even when it was in it's metaphorical infancy so long ago, I have somehow been elevated to position of a Venture-Captain, and even asked to teach and mentor new agents. Recently, I've grown close to a small group of Pathfinders, each of whom was also asked to help save the Society from itself and take on the mantle of mentor and leadership when so much of the past leadership had failed and become venomous. Roakar takes so much more after Father than I had at first expected, and leads me to a much deeper understanding of the need to unleash one's self when the vileness takes the field. My other companion, Roos, seems instead to follow his drives so freely, and has the ability to turn that passion into a weapon for good in ways I still fail to understand, but it is a weapon that can be passed amongst allies, and both used to defend and to bolster. I am very pleased to be counted among their number.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I do not understand what you mean?

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
My largest fear is that I should fail. That I make the wrong choice in those times of another's greatest need.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
Early into my existence in your realm, I stumbled upon a vendor here in Absalom's God's Market. I had been led, and I believe this may have been the first sign for me in the path I would follow, towards a sacred relic. A simple, unadorned implement of my Mother's faith, but one that She had herself touched and blessed before sending it off into this realm to aid those in need. It was not simply the finding or purchasing of this relic, but rather the tests that came with truly being found worthy of it.
. . . It was also my first experience with just how lost mortals might become, and my greatest failure mixed with a great victory. A mortal, one who had allowed herself to become so close to drowning in the hatred and bigotry of her faithless and blind country ad driven her to murder, striking out at the innocent. I still feel that this woman could have been saved from herself, but we where unable to show her the more difficult road, and could not allow her to assassinate any more of the faithful. Sometimes I wonder if Father's insistence on striking hard and burning away the poison she was would have been better rather than trying to save her. I shall never know. . .

So what is this some kinda survey? Did those dark archive guys but you up to this? They are always so nosey. Oh well I guess it couldn’t hurt anything,

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

well… I guess its mostly to make my family proud, and the gold of course, but really its family. I don’t exactly like this life but with so many of my family holding such long and decorated service… it would be shameful not to at least give it a shot for a few years, did have a brother die doing this though…. Something to keep in mind.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

That’s a strange question… but if you are asking about my name, its Kaiya grey… is that weird? I don’t really know, maybe my parents were running out of ideas for names after the first few. Between you and me I think they eventually just started naming alphabetically with whatever sounded nice.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Sheesh, damn near all of them, growing up in a Halfling trading caravan ive ben damn near everywhere. I remember being really young when we passed through cheliax I had to hide under bags of salt sometimes *shudders* but I really enjoyed the year we spent in the land of the linorm kings, that was the year I finally got recognized as an adult, got the scars to prove it and everything

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Oh gods! Your blind aren’t you! I am so sorry I have been so rude… uh I mean, anyway, I guess I am much like any Halfling girl… my brother says I am too pale and need to get more sun but he is a druid what do you expect besides when I start to tan then… well… ok so I have a few burn scars from an stupid accident but you usually can’t really see them. Not that I guess you would see… uh that was rude I am sorry I just ment…. Never mind. Other that that I am just like any… well except for the hair, I mean I would live to keep it long you know but then it gets in the way and my brothers would pull it when we were fighting and there was that time it caught fire…. Im sorry I am rambling, lets see my hair is short and brown and I almost always where simple artisans clothes, like how a smith looks? Uh you wouldn’t know that… mostly plain leather and linen. I do actually have this beautiful silk dress that makes me look elegant instead of just thin but what if I ruined it… I would be so sad. I think I will just keep that in the trunk.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

My family pure and simple. Oh and my books. Family and books. And coffee. Ok fine family books and coffee. That’s it

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Ugh people getting all touchy feely, I am going to poison that bard next time he tries something and that damn cleric keeps saying he needs to touch me to heal me. Ive studied a little magic I know how to make a wand work…. Well most of the time but still NO TOUCHING.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Well like I said most of my family is in the society but they always seem to be away on those tough missions whenever I get called on… and anyway I can handle myself, I am tougher that most of the people I know and unlike some of those knuckle heads I know when to run away. I can always circle back if I need to. No sense in dying for your pride

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

i… uh… I don’t really know. I mean everyone says halflings are either thieves or helpful little suckups. And I am not a thief… well usually not… I mean well they deserved it anyway. And I guess I can be helpful, its not like I *want* anyone to get hurt…. I just don’t want them to be all that close to me either.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Oh. well... yea kinda… I mean I really really really don’t want to die. But no sane person *wants* to die and playing at adventure is dangerous so I have good reason to be a little skittish. Right? Ok fine I am a lot skittish but still I get the job done right I just don’t rush in head first without looking for danger and traps. Remember if you think the trap is disarmed that’s when they get you!

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Well… ok promise not to tell my brothers? Its that dress I told you about, my oldest sister helped me make it and I love it but my brothers would tease me forever if they found out.

Dark Archive 3/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? These adventures call pathfinders make good companions. I have even blessed many of them as honorary Juju Ekujae.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? My name is Liv-gin. You may call me Gin when moments and sounds are sparse.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? You have been told, I am Ekujae. There are many strange people in Golarion with backwards ways, but that is ok: the Juju Ekujae wipe with plantain leaves, the Alijae wipe with wet moss. Let each tend to their own and be judged by Pharasma in due time.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? This elf is cloaked in a oilskin cloak that would blend in well with the shadowy jungle, here in the Grand Lodge quad it looks out of place even with the hood thrown back. The sunlight gleams off long curved two handed sword on his back and the mithral breastplate under the cloak with the holy symbol of Pharasma embossed on the armor makes it hard to mistake him for anything other than a crusader of fate.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) Love? What a strange concept; we are born, we live, we die, we face judgement. Purpose is enough to drive a person.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) There is only one sin, and that is to evade the final judgement of Pharasma. All else is permitted.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? I have met Pathfinders that mingle in the 'Dark Archives' and found them to be extremely agreeable. They have amassed great tombs of knowledge in their Archive that I have learnt much from. I feel that if my ancestors used such archives, the Great Darkness would not be the enigma it is today.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? My mother says the urge to wander came from my father, a human explorer. I know my thirst for knowledge comes from her, she taught me the sound of the poisoned frog's croak, That belladonna can kill or save, and that a sharp blade will sever a rotting zombie's tendons.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? When my time comes, it comes. There is nothing to fear.

10. What is your most treasured possession? All material possessions shall turn to dust and rust. My unfaltering soul is the only thing of true value.

Grand Lodge 3/5

Why are you a Pathfinder?
Hmm, I would have to say that Desna's calling, and the paid trips are two reasons as to why I am a Pathfinder. Also, funding my Inn and supporting my parents in Oppera takes a bit of coin. Besides that, getting to eat a different culture's food and exploring new lands is quite exciting.

Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
What do you mean Earth mythology and popular culture?

Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
Taldor was a fine place to grow, and the streets of Oppera are fantastic to run about as a child. Just stay in the more civil areas if not used to the gruff nature of the working people.

What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
Morrin is wearing brightly colored traveler's clothes with a Mithral Chain Shirt that seems to throw off a shadowy ethereal tendrils that bend the light slightly. His cloak is of a dark, shimmering blue, clasp around his neck with a brooch of a butterfly. A pitch black handkerchief hangs from his vest pocket, while a Wayfinder hung from a chain is in one of his pants pockets. At the man's belt hangs a dagger and a beltpouch with a symbol of the open road. Goggles and an amulet hang from his neck and his hands are gloved in a white fabrics laced with sapphires.

What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Travelling and companionship as it is always great to explore with trusted friends!

What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
As a Desnan, a lack of freedom would be close to the top of my list, but I do have one higher, and that would be those who oppress others.

Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I rely on all others to do their jobs, as it would make mine easier. I can scout from the air, underwater, of wherever it is hard to breath. I can grapple, disarm, or in general confuse most around me with what I can do.

How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Race has nothing to do with how I think, for the most part. I can say that Dwarves and Elves can be a bit surly or high strung, but who doesn't have bad days?

What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Personally, I am afraid to not be a help to others during my travels, whether it is in a fight, or just travelling the wide world.

What is your most treasured possession?
My most treasured possession is my freedom, though my Inn does give me a centralized location to store my finds.....

Sovereign Court 3/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

I joined the Pathfinder Society so that I may the word of Ragathiel far and wide. Also to a wider reach to ensure any nobles I encounter do their duty and are free of corruption.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

What is this Earth you speak of?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I spent much of my youth in Taldor but originally my family and I are from Galt.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Tall with a stern expression at most times. I mostly wear traveler's gear along with my finely crafted breastplate and crimson cloak.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

A fine brandy, a good smoke and not having to deal with morons, I rarely get the last one.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Corrupt nobles who abuse their power, anyone that slanders the good nation of Galt, morons, smarmy followers of Erastil

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I have had very much a revolving door of teammates from the Society, though there is a certain clever oracle who I have worked well with from time to time, despite his slanderous remarks about Galt.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I am proud of my half-orc heritage but I dare anyone to try to say I am unrefined.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Being stuck in a room with a smarmy follower of Erastil. Seriously, they don't shut up about bows and arrows, everything can apparently be solved by using a bow and or an arrow. I want to find out how they could use those to dislodge a bow from up their own asses.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My ten pound holy book, within is the sacred word of Ragathiel.

Grand Lodge 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Technically, I am not a Pathfinder yet. I am waiting for the ten to approve the entry of us "Silksworn" before I begin my quest for knowledge, fortune, and glory, but mostly glory.

((Waiting on Heroes of the High Court to hit additional resources.))

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Earth?

((It may be a semi-obscure video game reference translated deliberately poorly.))

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Taldor, like my noble line before me. Though we are somewhat diminished, we still appreciate life's fineries.

((You should probably start making sense motive checks now.))

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

A thin Grippli man, dressed in finest silk gloves and shirt, fur cloak and boots, and monocle. Why should I ever dress as a peasant when I can prestidigitate my best clean and dry?

((Thin?))

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Finery befitting of my station, in case you could not guess.

((Sense motive checks again.))

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

The stereotype that my race should dress as some sort of tribal savage.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

See my above response regarding my somewhat delayed entry.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Again we come back to that detestable idea that a Grippli should dress as some sort of savage and not enjoy life's finer things.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

None. None I say.

((Aside from being found out as some poser hatched deep in a Sargavan jungle?))

10. What is your most treasured possession?

You ask me to choose? But how could I slight the others by picking just one?

Liberty's Edge 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Working with Major Maldris and the society seemed the best way to do Cayden's will in the world at the time.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Earth? Torra's a common enough Dwarven name. As I was raised from a young age in a Caydenite orphanage, I take my god's surname.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Andoren. A decent enough place to grow up, and I got plenty of schooling in philosophy of the innate freedoms of man doing so.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Right now, I've go on my priestly stole over scale mail. I'll hide the stole if my faith's forbidden somewhere, and I'll polish the armor up pretty for formal occasions.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

A chance to discuss religion or philosophy over fine wine or ale.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Asmodeans. Hangovers.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Just gearing up for my first real mission. Get back to you on that.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I was human-raised, so most dwarves see me as a drunken rebel.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

A part of me worries that being human-raised has left me too out-of-touch with my dwarven roots.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

This here hairpin. They say my father was wearing it as a beard clasp the day he was killed by goblins. Only reminder I have of him.

Scarab Sages 4/5 5/5 **

I'll do this for another one of my characters
1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
"Oh my. Well, I believe there used to be a type of magic in Golarion called 'candymancy.' Where 'candymancers' infused sweets with magic. I found mention of them in the temple where I grew up in, though I might have been misinterpreting the text. Anyway, being a pathfinder gives me a chance to search the world's lore for hints of these 'Candymancers.' Only found one clue, and that was from a demon, so he was probably lying."

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
"Come again? Wha-What is an E-arth?". (((Sadly, yes. Keeks (spelled Keks) is the German word for Biscuit. Biscuit Krueger is a HunterxHunter character.)))

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
"I was an orphan left on the doorstep of a monastery on the edge of Chu Ye. As a monastery, the Oni left us alone so long as we gave them some of our painstakingly crafted candies once a year. The monastery is where I got my official training and where I learned about candymancers. Also, it's where I got my very low tollerance for bullies and extraplanar meanies like Oni and demons."

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
(((Keeks is a short Oread with dark skin that seems to have flakes of silica in it that shimmer when the sun catches them just so. She has a few rocky outcropings surrounding her eyes. Most striking of all, though, is her normal, 'human' blonde hair done up in a ponytail. She is wearing a sensable though cute pink dress.)))

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
"Well, I guess it's pretty obvious I'm into candy. I have my own stand in the grand lodge. Other than that? I love studying new and facinating types of magic-not just candymancer stuff. Also big into using that knowledge to help people out, or just put a smile on their faces.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
"Oh gee, I try not to HATE-hate. That's so negative. I guess bullies, Oni, demons, willful ignorance, stuff like that."

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
"Oh, there's Yillas. Big half-Orc type. Somehow uses a polearm and a shield at the same time. He, or she? Hard to tell. Well, Yillas thinks I need protection because I'm so small, even though I really don't. But we get along well enough. And he/she always appreciates my candies that I give her."

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
"Like I said, I'm an orphan. Never even met another Oread until I joined the society, so my race doesn't really influence my views I guess. I'm told I'm much more capricious and excitable than most oreads though."

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
"I mean, I wouldn't really call it a fear, but I'm constantly worried that people will find my candies as unacceptable. I guess it's kind of silly, but I guess my greatest fear is finding the candymancers and then determining I am unworthy?"

10. What is your most treasured possession?
"Growing up in the monastery I was taught that material possessions are fleeting, so I've never been too terribly big on possessions. I have a headband that makes me smarter, an amulet that helps me fight. I guess if I had to choose, I'd say my portable candy-making kit. Helps me craft my magical candies everyday. But like I said, if it was destroyed, I'd be a bit sad, but I'd just get a new one."

Scarab Sages 2/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To find the pride that was denied to me in my youth. To make the world a better place with the secrets that were known in better times.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Yep.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Sargava. I grew up being taught the glories of Cheliax, and seeing the truth of the horrors that surrounded me. The cruelty and indifference of the rich and powerful. The corruption spread by the reliance on pirates, thieves and murderers. The abject poverty and humiliation too many of my people were cast into. The horrors that some turned to to gain the strength to fight back.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Dunia is broadly built, but very short, barely cresting over 4 feet. She has dark brown skin, thick black hair, and remote black eyes. She would nearly look like a particularly squat Mwangi woman if it weren't for the obsidian sheen she gives when light hits her.

She wears tough fibrous clothes with a mixture of jewelry from several cultures from across Garund

5. What do you love?

I loves my family, those that are still alive. I love uncovering knowledge that is best shared with the world. I love the satisfaction of finally defeating something that has eluded her for too long.

6. What do you hate?

People who have turned their own kind over to monsters, that have sold their soul out of selfishness and spite.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I don't rely on any other Pathfinders. I study with Master Shaine, but we aren't close. In truth, I feel closer to colleagues who have passed on. I carry trinkets that remind me of the Pathfinders I have fought beside who have since passed on.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Though I have learned that there is the Strength of Earth in my blood, I don't think of myself as an Oread.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Dunia is afraid of mockery. She is too used to having her ideas thought of as useless or childish, and so it is a struggle for her to give them voice before strangers.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

A copy of a single scroll of the Living Library from my grandmother.
