About Keeks Krueger

Keeks Krueger has no memory of how she ended up in Chu Ye, the monstrous nation run by Oni. Her earliest memories are of working at a monastery on the edge of the nation. This particular monastery was renown for it's monks who could craft incredible delicacies, not of beer or wine, but of confectionery. So amazing was their skill that the oni simply let them be as long as the monks continued to give up the sweets they produced to the aristocracy.

Young Keeks grew up under the ridged training of the "Okashi no Sou-ryo" (candy monks), and led a relatively good life. However, as she grew older, she grew tired with making the same sweets over and over again. As she studied the craft, she delved into the monastery's archives and discovered references to magical and wondrous candies, as well as techniques lost to time. She brought the topic up to the monks who just dismissed her curiosity, saying that such techniques were not part of their order any more.

As time grew on, Keeks became more and more disillusioned with her order and their unwillingness to innovate or explore the past. And so, when she was of age, she set off for adventure, leaving her training behind. She vowed that she would discover the lost lore of the 'candymancers' (if they even existed) and become the greatest confectioner in all of Golarion.
