Would you still like us to throw in a Day Job roll over here?

![]() |

This looks like fun. Let me try to fill out the sheet now!

![]() |

That was pretty easy! I still need to buy some stuff.

Link in Granta's first post in this thread.

Profession (Merchant): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16

Everybody has filled out the form. Thank you :-) It took some time setting up, and still isn't perfect, but I now have a process that will really streamline the end of scenario bookkeeping.
A few questions:
@Declan: Your PP was higher than your fame, so I'm guessing one is wrong.
@Baphos: You listed "1430,40" as your gold.
@Emma: Your PP was also higher than your fame, and 2.2 XP seems like an error, too. And what would you like to buy?
And lastly, does anybody besides Theophilus have a Day Job? If so, please roll it here.
Oh, and we will get started tomorrow.

Oops, let me double check. I was going by things in my head yesterday filling out the form.

![]() |

Here's what I have so far:
- Declan - Day Job: none, Purchases: cold weather outfit
- Theophilus - Day Job: 16, Purchases: cold weather outfit, alchemist's fire (2)
- Baphos - Day Job: mising, Purchases: cold weather outfit
- Emma - Day Job: missing, Purchases: undecided
- Slamu - Day Job: none, Purchases: furs

Day job teacher 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
She will buy 2 alchemist fires and two potions of CLW as well as cold weather outfint

![]() |

Opps, thought I had her updated but I had to go in and level her
She has a +1 to her profession so the roll would be 15
She bought 2 holy waters and a potion of mage armor as well as the other stuff above.

This is not good. I am playing a bard in another campaign which is going to be going through this module so I think I need to bow out of this one. I am really sad to do this. :(

![]() |

I am really sorry but reading the description of the event I went back to my bard and the campaign that she is in and this is the last one of that story arc.

![]() |

I just have to say that as someone who was half convinced that the Street Sharks were a childhood fever-dream I am constantly smiling at Big Slamu.

I know that, speaking for at least myself, I wasn't clear that we were supposed/allowed to make a survival roll for the last 4 hours of trekking. Would you be alright if we added in another Survival check rather than apparently having purposefully walked in circles? (I think our highest take 10 is a 17 with our guide's help if it's relevant)

![]() |

I am actually keeping you ahead on the Fort saves, to speed things up when it gets back to me. So far you have only failed/missed one Survival check, and I'm not inclined to retcon it.
For one, I think the issue was more one of players thinking somebody else would take care of it, than a misunderstanding due to the PbP format. For another, it's simply not that important. Nobody is going to die or lose rewards because of it, so let's keep moving.
That said, things will slow down this weekend, as I am attending a convention. I'll bring my laptop and try to update between events, but I can't promise anything.

![]() |

I'm still having a bit of trouble picturing it in the fiction, but no worries, we'll get 'em this time!

![]() |

Saying we missed a survival check because nobody rolled feels pretty adversarial. It wasn't clear to me that was something any one of us was responsible for. At the very least you could have rolled for the table if you were trying to keep things moving.
Haltani’s help provides a +4 circumstance bonus to Survival checks to find Naldak’s Point. Everyone please roll 4 Fortitude saves vs. the cold.
Does not mean the same thing as: 'Someone needs to make a survival check with a +4 bonus for Haltani's help'.

With nobody getting notifications, it's likely that at least one player--if not more--isn't aware of new posts. And the problem will just get bigger if the rest of us keep going.
So . . . I'm putting all of my games on hold until either:

I'm putting the From Under Ice games on hold for a few days. My Beyond Azlant Ridge games are all in the boss battle, and that fight can easily turn into a TPK. Running those combats is taking up a lot more bandwidth than I expected, and I don't want to see any accidental deaths because the GM wasn't at 100%

![]() |

Moving the invisibility chat here: I'm pretty sure it's actually flat-footed and a +2, check table 8-5 on page 195 of the CRB.

![]() |

Wow, that wrapped fast! Thanks for running!

![]() |

Thanks for running Granta.
I must admit, I'm impressed that you ran four tables of the same scenario at the same time. At one point I was running two Eyes of the Ten tables at the same time and keeping them synced up was quite the chore.

![]() |

I made a cheat sheet for the scenario and notes for each table, so that helped a lot. Also, I didn't actually try to keep them synced. They did naturally stay pretty close together though.
My three Beyond Azlant Ridge tables diverged quite a bit though. One table finished almost a week before the others, and one went through the scenario in a different order.
And let's be honest here, it's not fair to compare EotT with a tier 1-5. I haven't played or ran Eyes yet, but I have to imagine it is WAY more involved than this scenario.

![]() |

Eyes of the Ten is a bit more challenging just because it's level 12 content and higher level content is generally more complex but not drastically so. The scenarios are still fairly linear.
