Since you have already taken your action, we will just go with that. But just for clarity, your Reflex Save happens on the Rift Drake's initiative. So the save would have been before Anga's Haste spell. Delaying your action does not delay game time, or alter the initial event that caused the party to have to make a Saving Throw. No one should get the benefit of the Haste spell on their Saving Throw against the Rift Drake's acid attack. It happened before the spell was cast.


A female Rift Drake flies out from the cave.

Round One

It spits a massive glob of corrosive acid at the front of the party.

Leira nimbly avoids the Great Drake's glob. She begins to cast a spell.

The glob lands in front of Droja.  The Half-Orc Oracle begins to cast a spell.

Kaos nearly misses the glob.  The operative word is nearly.  He cast True Strike on himself.

Anga is unable to escape the glob.  She struggles through the pain to cast Haste.

Haskyll will drop the mule's lead, stand on it, and begin casting a spell.

Ulfgard moves up under the Rift Drake.

The Rift Drake swoops down thirty feet, takes a chunk out of Ulfgard, and flies back up thirty feet.

Bleed condition:
A creature that is taking bleed damage takes the listed amount of damage at the beginning of its turn. Bleeding can be stopped by a DC 15 Heal check or through the application of any spell that cures hit point damage (even if the bleed is ability damage). Some bleed effects cause ability damage or even ability drain. Bleed effects do not stack with each other unless they deal different kinds of damage. When two or more bleed effects deal the same kind of damage, take the worse effect. In this case, ability drain is worse than ability damage.
The Rift Drake has a ten foot reach. It returns to 40 feet above the ground.

Round Two

The Rift Drake swoops down and bites Ulfgard with its serrated teeth in a flyby attack. The Dwarf Ranger Barbarian is bleeding from his lacerated wounds.

Ulfgard becomes an oxymoron, a Giant Dwarf.

Leira, using Ragnir as cover, fires a couple of arrows at the female Rift Drake. But both shots glance off the Drake's tough hide.

A large Celestial Dire Bat appears and bites the Rift Drake.

Droja brings healing to Anga.

Kaos takes a heavey Pilum and launches it at the big flying lizard's wing. It lodges into the female Rift Drake's left wing.

Anga sends two fiery bolts at the Rift Drake. The female dragon-kin howls in pain from the Scorching Rays.

Does Haskyll help Ulfgard's bleeding condition? We'll see.

Ulfgard pulls out his sling to ready for an attack at range.

A shimmering image of Torag's Double-Headed Hammer appears forty feet in the air and strikes at the Rift Drake, but the blow glances off one of the Drake's spikes.

Rift Drakes are powerful flyers. But with a heavy spear lodged in its wings, its aerial acumen is diminished.

Fly with Pilum 15 + 10 = 25: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

With an additional surge of energy, the Rift Drake works to overcome the Pilum's drag on its wing.

Fly with Pilum 15 + 10 = 25: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28

Three times per day, as a Swift action, Rift Drake's can take an extra move action in a Round. I took the Swift action to see if the Rift Drake manages to fly instead of fall from the sky.

It regains flight and swoops down to the ground near the now Enlarged Ulfgard.

With a combination of fear and anger, the Rift Drake attacks the over-sized Dwarf, taking another chunk out of Ulfgard.

Bite: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 252d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 7) + 10 = 25

Ulfgard takes 25 more points of damage. 27/87

Droja's Celestial Dire Bat takes an opportunity to get in another bite as the Rift Drake struggles to maintain flight. Its bite this time was not enough to penetrate the Drake's tough spiky hide.

Dire Bat Bite AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

The Bat follows the Drake down and tries to bite it again. But resorts back to being more of a nuisance than any real threat.

Sensing Ulfgard is in trouble at the limits of her sight, Droja stumbles forward to see if she can help the Dwarf Ranger Barbarian that has taken the brunt of the Drake's attacks.

Ulfgard will take an additional 21 points of damage if he is not healed before his initiative. Droja was unable to get to him.

Haskyll's Round Two

Three Lantern Archons appear. Each one provides a little Aid to Kaos, Ragnir, and Ulfgard.

Haskyll then runs toward Ulfgard, but that is all he can do.

Round Three

Kaos' Pilum lodges into the Rift Drake's left wing. The spiky hided lesser dragon struggles to maintain flight, but does so and glides to a landing. Fear and anger envelopes the creature. And out of a degree of self-defense now, it bites the Enlarged Ulfgard.

Leira works to keep the Drake on the ground. She fires two arrows. The first penetrates the Rift Drake's tough hide. Her second shot is deflected off one of the many spikes that protrude from the monster's hide.

Droja's Dire Bat fails to do any harm to the Rift Drake after a couple of additional attempts.

Droja moves toward Ulfgard.

Kaos tries to use an acrobatic maneuver to get close to the Rift Drake. It doesn't work. The Rift Drake take an opportunistic attack on the big human. And with his magical shielding expired, the lesser dragon bites Kaos.

Kaos' shield spells would have expired during the walk to the cave opening.

Kaos takes 20 points of damage. He too now has the Bleed condition.

It is certain that Anga will do something amazing.

Haskyll's Lantern Archons erupt in a light show of attacks against the grounded Drake. Each beam of light sears the lesser Dragon's skin. It howls in pain.

Haskyll pulls and readies his spear.

@Haskyll - If you Ran up in the second Round, couldn't Haskyll cast a healing spell in the third Round? Or am I missing something. I will not apply Ulfgard's Bleed damage until I hear from Haskyll. Otherwise Ulfgard takes the Bleed damage.

Let's face it, Ulfgard, and with due respect to Kaos, is the party's best warrior, but with his sling? Not so much.

Torag's Hammer moves and strikes a solid blow to the Rift Drake.

Ragnir engages the now grounded Drake, but Ragnir's axe glances off the creatures tough spiky hide.

Anga has Round Three actions, and possibly Haskyll too. If Haskyll decides to attack he would need to move closer. He is currently 20 feet from the Rift Drake. I would be fine using the AoO roll if he decides to use it to attack. I will wait to see post from Anga and Haskyll before taking the Rift Drake's next actions.

Yes, a channel would stop the bleed. I didnt get surprise, Turn breakdown was this:
round 1 to 2 I summoned. round 2 was a full round run. round 3, I have gotten close enough

You could have moved the distance well within seven minutes, the duration of the Shield spell. But this assumes that the party immediately took off after killing the first Drake. Which the party didn't do. But likely around 15 minutes or so.

Anga and Haskyll Round Three

Anga hits the Rift Drake with a Force Missile.

Haskyll moves to a position to provide healing to the party without healing the Rift Drake.

I added a blue bubble on the map centered on Haskyll. Every one but Anga will be affected. The Channel Energy does stop the bleed affect for both Kaos and Ulfgard.

The mule, seemingly oblivious to the action near her, finds a tuff of grass peaking through the snow to nibble upon.

Round Four

With its wing damaged, the Rift Drake gives all that it has left. It moves back five feet and musters up another glob of gooey acid. It sprays the party with this viscous goo.

Rift Drake's Clinging Corrosion: 5d10 ⇒ (10, 1, 6, 5, 5) = 271d4 ⇒ 4

Everyone, except Anga, must roll a DC20 Reflex save for half damage (13 points) and no slow effect. Otherwise, you take 27 points of damage are are slowed for 4 Rounds.

Leira has the next action and have posted it. I will go ahead and roll her reflex save as we are nearing the end of this encounter.

Leira's Reflex Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Leira evades the Rift Drake's Corrosive Acid. She then fires an arrow that nearly severs a vital artery. And though the strike was not critical, it was enough to cause the big lizard to slip into unconsciousness.

Leira takes several Rounds to check out the three different cave entrances. She does not find traps at any of them.

When the party enters the cave, the smell of death and decay is overwhelming. From the center section of the cave is a set of stairs that rise to a platform area. A large tree is growing there to the side. But the platform area is covered in bones from all types of animals, humanoids, and more. Around the bones is a mound of other things mostly copper coins, but there is silver, gold, and platinum visible to anyone looking carefully at the mound.

But there are quite a number of other items that can be seen in the hoard. An intricately fashioned Brass and Cloth Choker, a Silver Pin with a floral design, and a pair of leather boots with silver buckles are on the lower portion of a mostly decayed cadaver. The top portion of the cadaver is separated from the lower portion. It wears a Silk Vest. You will see among the bones a large femur that has been fashioned into a scroll case. A stick with tiny runes can be seen. There is a humanoid hand wearing a gold looking ring. There is a shirt. There are wraps like bandages. A dark foreboding Robe is seen partially buried in the mound of coins. There is a carefully crafted Heavy Mace lying to one side of the mound. And then at the center top of the mound is an egg, a big egg.

After fighting two drakes, current condition is important. The party is in a very hostile environment. It is about two hours before sunset and you have a huge mound of stuff. What does the party do?

Kaos was only able to identify the Ring. The gold ring was cast in the shape of a feather. It is a Ring of Feather Falling.

@Haskyll - I agree. Excel online is no where near as useful as the regular PC based version of Excel. However, I can still use it with a tablet. That is more than I can say for Google Drawings.
