Yeah, Mort is pretty screwed when faced with combat maneuvers. Mort's not gonna make the same mistake again.

Also Niles, Mort is at -2 hp, I mentioned in the discussion, that Mort's hp is 35 normally, 31 with the -2 Con. Seeing as he only got 33 damage total, he's at -2.

Jarreck steps past the elemental, suddenly fatigued as he lets go of the rage he had felt changing to concern for his fallen friend. Searching Morts pockets Jarrecks pulls out one of the potions of cure moderate wounds he had given him. Taking his time and feeding it to the druid.

Yes however I misspoke earlier, its not CON drain, its CON damage...which means it heals normally.

Jarreck disables the trap which was designed to send a dart, probably poisoned, into whoever tried to open the door. Jarreck notices that at the bottom of the door is an alternate way of opening it with your feet...this is how the Stalkers used it.

Jarreck opens the door to reveal....horror.

At least six bodies, dessicated from blood loss, lie scattered about the room, which stinks of ammonia. Their belongings also lay scattered about the room.

Guaire surmises that the fleshy sac is growing on the bodies...using their flesh as sustenance. It's certainly not natural.

Jarreck postulates that perhaps...the sacs are the birthing sacs of new faceless stalkers.

Jarreck and Guaire move the bodies, this causes the sacs to rupture!
