From a discrete distance, Seventeen watches the others as they go on a reccie. After a little while she starts reading again from the book and cross references several things she'd noticed on her first skim read.

The building is an abandoned warehouse Which conveniently is EXACTLY like the one Garmen used the place is borded up and there is a sign that says Danger, Keep Out there are several exterior entrances including two windows, two large doors and a flight of stairs that leads to a landing entrance.

Mort waves Jarreck over and whispers to him, "See this? This door is definitely trapped. You think you can disable this?"
Mort points out the obvious signs of a trapped door to Jarreck, hoping he is able to disarm it.

Turning to Mort, "You still got that helmet?If so, see if you got anything close by inside there."

Jarreck eases the door open and in the murky gloom of the warehouse he sees a small glimmer of movement. He also notices that directly in front of the door is a 10x5' pit trap...

1st mage armor, obscuring mist, vanish
Before they enter Seventeen casts mage armor using the metamagic rod (8 hour duration). She then considers the situation and determines that an Earth Elemental was likely to be useful (4 mins duration). So she completes a by now familiar ritual and sends the elemental in to assist Jarreck.

taking a arrow out of his quiver and knocking it in his bow, Jarreck turns to Seven. "Please apply a light spell to this arrows shaft" Once the arrow is glowing Jarreck turns and fires it over the crates towards the back wall of the building to create a light source, and hopefully backlight and traps hidden in the gloom.
Watch your step here, seems to be a lovely pit trap here for those not paying attention. Also 25-30' in something is moving around, could just be a rat, then again it might be a REALLY big rat.

"Not my strong point this..." Mort takes a short distance then runs at the pit and tries to jump over it.

He looks up that the creature, inspecting it for what it is, then nods and grins.

Seventeen cocks her head slightly as subroutines in her subconscious compute the perfect trajectory to jump over the pit. Before she realizes it, she's in motion, sailing gracefully over the trap.

Landing lightly on the other side, wand in hand she realizes that she can't see the remaining foe and she cautiously moves closer to the sounds of fighting.
