Joke is on me, Paizo is now offering a 20% discount with the code BELLASARACIAO.

It's been a long time since I have posted here. I haven't subscribed in a very long time (due to an international move), but I own every single Pathfinder related product produced by Paizo.
1) I don't intend to stop buying their products, however......
2) Sara Marie was awesome, she helped me on so many occasions, so did Diego, Katina, Sharaya. Even my bewildered and technology averse mother was helped by them on occasion, for gifts. Sara Marie was a bloody champion of customer service, and everyone I ever had to talk to was amazing. I am very upset with her being fired. It makes no sense to me, and it seems unjustifiable. I even looked for a patreon or go fund me to help her. Paizo I am heartbroken that THIS is what I finally have to come back to the forums to comment on.
3) I have read the statements from Erik, Jason, Jessica, and Crystal. I take everything with a grain of salt. I am a very cautious individual by nature and don't trust statements easily. But I warn you if I find out that there is abuse of my LGBTQIA+ siblings, I will seriously take social action. If you abuse PoC I will likewise stand beside them. I tend to trust Jason, Erik, and Crystal. Mainly because I have zero rapport or history with Jessica, but I will not disregard the allegations.

Please Paizo do better. I am not an enemy, I will be a patron going forward. As for Mr. Alvarez, actions speak louder than words. You may have to start showing your advocacy more than just corporately stating it. I will not condemn you unless proof of allegations are made.
P.S. If someone sees Sara Maries or Diego's patreon or gofundme, message it to me. No matter what I can't take Paizo's side on that issue.

I was thinking about how much I wished we could all read Sara's thoughts on the matter, even though her twitter is private...

That's when I realized she must be exhausted. I can't imagine how emotionally devastating it must be to be fired and have your really s&%*ty day and new life circumstance be the subject of hundreds of random internet people trying to read into it and demand things off the back of it. Whether a vitriolic reaction to any unfairness of her situation is warranted... it's just gotta really suck for her.

Hoping for some peace and a positive direction to her life right now.

She's a tough one, but there's never enough love for tough people.

Diego's Patreon

I couldn't find a Patreon or GoFundMe for Sara Marie, but if you have extra bucks, you can put it toward Daigle's medical expenses

I'd never heard of Sara, Diego, or Crystal before this. I know enough about Jessica Price that, if she said the sky was blue, I'd have to go look for myself. With no context, I don't know how to feel about this.

Here's a compilation on the Pathfinder 2E reddit. I will say that Jessica Price's account has been partially corroborated by others, so I'm inclined to believe her.

I've read that, except for the Price stuff. I see a lot of things in support of Alvarez on there from LGBTQ employees.

As an aside, since I've been asked about it quite a few times in the last day or two, no, the person named 'stuntmonkeys' who seems to enjoy liking reprehensible posts is not me the online VO who uses the nickname 'Stunt Monkey' on discord. There's a couple of aliases people have created on here that "just" so happen to use that name and tend to like some awful stuff with it, the only alias I have on here that uses that nickname is 'Stunt_Monkey' though I more normally post under my actual name or my original forum alias 'suthainn'.

You can easily see my actual aliases and posts by clicking on my profile, incidentally you can always tell if an alias belongs to a VO as the main profile will say 'Venture Agent - Antarctic' or some such on it underneath the name.

We return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Well Sara's private thread puts even more fire on this, but it is further evidence for her claims not really being well intentioned.

Like Price starts the thread with with "Well since one last person I was afraid could get fired because of me" and since that person doesn't seem happy with them...

...I feel like I can point out that if that particular claim had been true in first place, surely Price wouldn't have aired dirty laundry several times already at opportune times when there was being controversy in the company.

Still though, messy thing here is that even if Price is being opportunistic, it doesn't erase that some of her allegations ARE collaborated on other things so there is some truth to them. But I do believe she is exaggerating or assuming the worst in many of them.

That's I think something people forget in a lot of these cases.

There are times when "cancel culture" runs rampant, that can't be denied.

However, the majority of the time it is, as you say, a matter of trust. Whether or not wrongdoing was done, public perception is the current hurdle. I feel like people were on the whole pretty chill until these public statements were made by Jeff and Aaron.

But those responses were so...weasel-y sounds harsh...canned? insincere? that it kicked the lack of trust into overdrive.

That is another thing I find sad about this... Like with lot of these cases, the fault isn't solely on one party, but regardless of what who is fault for who, because we now have further evidence against Price, I think that is going to make some people forget that management has still done wrong here and they still need to be helded accountable :/

Like public opinion can be really big of pendulum... I really hope things don't get sweeped under rug no matter what happens here

This really isn't getting the scope of the problem, I feel. Bigotry is only one of the problems; the treatment of employees is another that was barely touched on. Many of us also want to know HOW you're going to listen to employees to make the company better. Simply saying you'll listen feels dismissive, as was just stating Paizo's inclusivity mission.

Saying things is one thing. Doing it is another. We want action, not platitudes.

I am just starting to get into PF2e, but I am holding off any further purchases until I see more responses (or a lack thereof) taking responsibility for the work environment.

Jeff Alvarez needs to be held accountable, and resign if immediate and effective changes LED BY JEFF are not taken. And an outside company needs to come in and help right the ship.

Erik Mona also needs to speak up about these issues, not just about how he is sorry his hobby was called out. You are in leadership, Erik - now is the time to show that!

So does the US just not have any labour laws? Most of the things alleged regarding working conditions and wages and unfair dismissal and discrimination are things that are straight up illegal in most western countries.

Its kind of one of those "they said that and they said this" situations where one of parties has already bad reputation for depicting things in worst ways possible <_<

(also she HAS literally lied when she said back in 2015 that she still loves several staff members she is currently ripping to shred :p Like Jessica Price did have one of those heartfelt farewell blog posts before she went full in dirty laundry aiding mode. Like sure you can argue its to ensure she has another job, but uh... She hasn't otherwise ever stopped being brutally direct before and afterwards)

Its why I think its best to trust the points collaborated by other sources as well and why I think more attention should be spent on Crystal's posts rather than Price's twitter thread when it comes to evidence.

Has anything been said about the allegations re: trans individuals being barred from convention attendance/having issues getting hotel rooms? That one has me pretty concerned.

No, the conversation keeps getting driven back to Jessica. All the employment decisions(how this whole thing started) and other concerns have basically been binned in favor of redoing that fight every couple of hours.

After reading Crystal's statements, this stuck out as something that needed to be addressed immediately and I have yet to see anything related to it in any official statements from Paizo or from Paizo employees. Here's hoping someone speaks to it as I have no reason to doubt Crystal and her statements and without a proper response, my money may be going elsewhere.

@CorvusMask:
I know that what I'm about to say may come across as being pedantic (& my apologies for it in advance), but in the interest of not unintentionally misrepresenting the people you are supporting (such as Crystal), the word you want to use is corroborate -- not collaborate.

Corroborate means to "confirm or give support to [something]", while collaborate means to "work jointly on [something]".

By continuing to use the word 'collaborate', you are (unintentionally, I hope?) implying that Crystal is working together with Jessica on making all the allegations (true or not) that the latter has made, i.e. you've been saying that they are in cahoots.

Of course, if that's what you actually mean (but again, I don't think it is), then disregard this post...

Ah thank you for that, I didn't realize I was accidentally using the wrong word there. I did mean the corroborate

Issue is that as long as there is the possibility of a civil suit any lawyer will tell you to stay quite.
