@Evindyl: Heck yeah! Prestidigitation is soooo useful for flavor (literally and story-wise) I don't know how anyone doesn't pick it if they have access to the spell!
Seriously though, like think about it.
We can pitch Amiko while we're all on the trip ;)Can you imagine an inn where like 50%+ of the staff could cast it?
Beverages always the perfect temp
Ice cold beverages in summer
Food always warm, warmed up at the table too
If they're selected, and they live, and they make some money ...
Riftun & Zephyr can go to Magnimar or something and open a place that serves Pan-Varisian food choices, like Ulfen food, and traditional Varisian stuff, and Elven food as well!
Kwijiab |
He met the woman of his dreams, Kwijiab’s mother in Andor. He was following clues looking for the healer that saved him. His mother was in the city hiding from tribal hunters bound to find and kill her for her sin against the tribe. His mother and father were eventually killed by the tribal hunters when the caught up with them in the capital city of Taldor. His sister was taken and sold into slavery. He escaped because he was in the market when they attacked. He is tracking down rumors that she might have been taken to the Tian countries with a slave trader.
He finds himself in Brinewall tracking a rumor that the caravan of slavers passed this way several weeks ago. He joins up with Sandru’s caravan as a means of safer travel further along the road. Sandru and Koya are the only two in the caravan that should know of his journey.

I might not make the deadline due to unforeseen cicumstances (hospital admission of toddler son). As such i might have to bow out depending on how this progresses.
Many many best wishes & blessings to you and the young person.
I hope you will come back and update us.Once upon a time I was that kid ...

Sorry, I couldn't get into Paizo's site at all yesterday. I fixed an error and I've got a little backstory added as well.

Rimseo ran through the dense forest. Underbrush snagged at his legs and vines whipped against his face and arms. Rimeso’s heart pounded against his ribcage. How long had he been running? When had he started running? What had sent him running? Just as the questions formed in his mind, they melted away as if the answers were never important.
The samsaran stumbled over a protruding root and tumbled down a steep slope. Rimeso caught a glimpse of the sky through the canopy of trees. An instant later he stared at the angled ground. The sky reappeared and was quickly replaced by the ground again. The pattern repeated over and over again until, finally, Rimeso’s back slammed into the hard packed forest floor, knocking the wind from his lungs.
Slowly, two figures leaned over Rimeso. The first a snarling, abyssal creature. The other a smiling, heavenly being. The mouths of both moved and a single voice came forth:
“Take care, little one, and let your past selves guide you.”
Rimeso awoke in the back of the wagon. The last words spoken by Rimeso’s adopted mother still echoed in his mind. Though, admittedly, this was the first time something else had spoken the words in his dreams before. In the past, the kindly old Ulfen woman had always been the one to issue her warning. Usually after a long lecture about how the woman had given up much of her life to take in a blue child after his parents died in the harsh winter outside of Kalsgard. As frustrating as it had been to hear the same lecture again and again, he knew the old woman loved him like her own and he had welcomed the chance to hear it again in his dreams. But this time...
"We didn't bring you a long so you and that rat catcher could sleep all day," a gruff voice punched through the quiet. The owner of the voice, a traditionally Ulfen man named Kerdlak, slapped a calloused palm against the side of the bunk above Rimeso. The scowl he wore melted into a grin after a few seconds. "How do you expect anyone to ever consider you a true Ulfen if you can't even get up at a decent hour?"
'I was up later than I intended last night working on some new spells,” Rimeso said as he climbed out of his bunk.
”Bah! Magic! I wish you had taken my father up on his offer when we were boys. You should be standing next to me with a sword and shield. Not lingering on the fringes of the battle, weaving incantations like some frozen witch.”
Rimeso stretched and slipped his boots on. ”What time is it?” he asked, ignoring Kerdlaks comments. It was a conversation that had grown stale years ago.
”Time for us to start getting our stuff together to make land. We’ll be filling our sacks with Brinewall’s treasure by midday.” Kercheck said as he scratched a large tabby cat on its cheek.
The cat peeled open one eye and Rimeso could feel a beat of annoyance in the back of his mind coming from the cat followed by a wave of enjoyment. He still wasn’t quite used to the connection he and Commodore shared now. Until last week, Commo had just been a simple cat, but something about Rimeso’s own magical abilities had changed the tabby.
”Some of the men said they heard you having a nightmare again. Mostly they think it’s your nerves from being so far from home for the first time.” Kerdlak pulled his hand away just as the cat started to claw him and turned to face Rimeso, ”I know you believe that something has been following you or watching you or-”
”Tyra believed it. Not me,”[/b’ Rimeso stated. [b]”It’s like you said: it’s just my nerves.” The samsaran patted his thigh and the tabby stood up, stretched, and hopped from the bunk. ”Once I’m off this ship I’ll start feeling better.” Rimeso reached into his back and pulled out a plain looking spellbook, ”You know what? Could you actually give me a little bit? I want to make sure I’m ready to go once we land.”
Kerdlak eyed the tome then Rimeso, ”Yeah...yeah, I’ll let the men know that you’re just a little seasick and to give you some privacy. I’ll grab you something to eat while I’m at it.”
Rimeso settled in to start his preparations as Kerdlak ascended the stairs to the deck.
”I said ‘we’ve landed’, Rim,” once again Kerdlak’s voice pulled Rimeso back to the real world. ”I hope you finished prepping because it’s time to put your book away and put some dirt under your boots.”
Rimeso nodded, ”Oh wow. Okay. I’ll get my things together and be up in a moment.” He slipped the spellbook into his pack and stood, his legs tingling as they woke up. Rimeso slung the bag over one shoulder and started for the stairs. ”You coming, Commo?” He made it to the fourth step before registering the pounding sense of terror coming from the feline. Rimeso spun and rushed back to the cat which stood with its back arched, all hair on end.. ”What’s wrong, bud? What’s got you so spooked?” He knelt and tried to pet Commodore. The cat hissed and Rimeso pulled his hand back. He tracked the tabby’s line of sight to an especially dark shadow behind a crate. ”It’s okay, Commo. It’s just a shado-” he trailed off as a patch of the shadow broke away from the rest and shot up the wall. It disappeared before reaching the ceiling. Rimeso snatched up the cat and raced up stairs to the safety of the late morning sun.

Alright, it's been incredibly tough to narrow it down to just two players - I would take more if I thought I could do it justice, but alas, I cannot.
Elvina and Riftun, please check in to the discussion thread.
Everyone else, thanks for your submissions and interest. I'd shake my fist at you for being such trouble to decide between, but I'm too grateful for that. Hope you guys find some more games!
