[Whining in 3...2...1...] Can't we get an Automaton Ancestry Preview!?!

I can't be the only one dying to get a taste of this new ancestry.
Also, I imagine that I'm not alone in having a sense of "eternity" going by between now and the release of Guns & Gears.

So how about a blog post with some tidbits at least?

Anyway, do any of my fellow forum goers care to wildly speculate about how it might work?

Between this and the Inventor Class I feel like I have the perfect set up for a lot of my Megaman flavored builds.

For instance, Human Inventor with the Construct Innovation might feel like a good Dr. Light & Megaman set up.

And of course, an Automaton Inventor with the Construct Innovation can be flavored nicely into Megaman & Rush.

Also, I had the idea today that if you have the Automaton Inventor and his Construct Innovation look identical, then you could flavor them as Geminiman

I want it too but marketing peoples aren't gonna give hype scraps so far out from release. The attention retention isn't as effective as previews for a product right around the corner

We may see something in Bestiary or one of the AP entries, but that would be as close to a glimpse as we'll get before September.

Some info we do have is I think it was said they can swap some of their body parts for items, like switching your left arm for a Serrating sword, as an example.

its important to remember that the book is out in october, so its likely that the automatons arent even actually done being written at this point.

The thing I'm curious about is if Wyrwoods will be folded into the ancestry as a heritage or if they will be their own later on.

It was mentioned in one of the numerous interviews Luis Loza did recently... Can't remember which one though. I'll try hunting for it again. I hate not sourcing my info, but it slipped this time. :X

Indeed I did consider that the Automaton ancestry might not be done yet since the book is so far off and there are plenty of other things in the works that are due out before it as well.

But my hype is real and I just wanted to bring some interest to the fore here. Selfish as it is, I needed to say something since no one has said much about it yet.

As for Wyrwoods I guess it depends on whether Paizo wants them to have their own Heritages or not, no?

Yeah, marketing has made it clear it'd have to wait within a month or so before release before they start teasing. We didn't get a whole lot of teases for the LOAG (aside from when it was announced) until this month, and we're unlikely to get more teases about G&G while we could learn more from Bestiary 3, Secrets of Magic, or the Lost Omens Mwangi Expanse books.

My guess is we'll see the first teasing of this in one of their new Paizo live events they started this week.
