Hi everyone,
I think there's an issue with that. There's lots of Bard feats asking for a Focus Pool. Bards have a Focus Pool, so it is only a prerequisite for MC Bards, and for them, it's a pain as the only way to get a Focus Pool through Bard MC is to get Counter Perform at level 6...
It's very odd to me, looks like something that should get errated.

They could also have a focus pool through their original class.
Yes, but if you don't, you're quite stuck. If you want to get Inspire Courage and Lingering Performance, you need 4 feats and you can't get it before level 10...

Maybe, but the way to do it is very strange... Also, it's only for classes without Focus Points by themselves, so Monks and Champions can get it more easily than Fighters and Rogues... It really looks weird.
Even if I can understand the desire not to give such abilities easily, the way to make it is too odd to look normal. All classes should have the same access to these feats.

Can multiclassed bards not get a focus pool from the level one feat lingering composition? I didn’t even notice that. That completely destroyed all the builds I was thinking of.
I can see the prerequisite for lingering composition being a typo. It would put the bard in line with similar dedications like druid or sorceror, being able to get the first level focus spell at level 4
Same goes with champion and monk.
Until lvl 10 you could have a 3/3 pool ( since lvl 6 ) without any way to recover more than one.
To me it is simply balanced.
Being able to use 1 point or eventually up to 3 if the encounter needs it is gold.
The more you proceed, mostly with casters progression in my opinion, the more the possibilities to refocus in a better way.
Ps: there is also another thread in the advice subforum, which also points out the jack of the trade stuff given to the bard, which is probably part of the reasons of his strutture.
This thread is about non-bards who take the bard dedication. Bard feats with "Focus Pool" as a prereq are off limits until level 6 to bard-dedicated classes that do not get a pool of their own.

Pretty much just what you've already done posting here, or in the sticky thread that says they might answer on stream. If it is, in fact, a typo, it's something that would have to be changed in an errata since it's an actual textual change rather than something that can be faq'd. In your games, though, as long as it's not PFS, you can just houserule it, and change it back later if it ends up being unbalanced.
Really, ANYTHING on these rule threads can be run however you want because of rule 0, it's only PFS that really needs hard and fast rulings. If I've learned anything from the panels that paizo GM's had a gencon, its that even some paizo staff ignore rules they don't care for in their own games, even office games (likely excluding playtesting, but maybe even then, given some of the inconsistencies).
