My companions are currently trying to build around my Bard, they are currently level 1 and are trying to maximise there chance of landing crits. One is a Wild order Druid, the other is a Dragon instinct (unfortunately not Giant instinct :( ) Barbarian. Can either one of these guys be great crit hitters, and if so, how so? Thanks all.

1st lv spells that buff attack:
-Bless (status bonus)
-Magic Weapons (item bonus)
-Shillelagh (item bonus)
-True Strike (self only)
AC debuffs are primarily conditional, such as flatfooted, sickened, frightened and so on. The Fear spell can Frighten 3 on critical fails, but doesn't last long. I'd suggest manouvers such as grappling or tripping are the most reliable ways to debuff AC.

If they want to be good at getting crits the main thing is to just have a high attack bonus or find ways to reduce their opponents AC so they can exceed the AC of their opponents by 10 often.
The ways I can find to do this;
Make sure the barbarian is trained in intimidation (the frightened condition affects all DCs, and DCs include AC)
The barbarian can make this particularly effective with the raging intimidation, intimidating prowess, terrifying howl and battle cry feats (and raging intimidation gives you scare to death and intimidating glare for free)
The come and get me barbarian feat let's the barbarian inflict flat footed to anyone that hits them.
Whirlwind strike let's you make a lot of attacks without the multi attack penalty applying to those attacks, and at level 18 the barb can get brutal critical.
If the druid wants to crit fish, there aren't really any feats that I can find to boost the DC of their spells or their spell attack, but they can try and select forms for wild shape that give them the best chance of hitting, or start out combat by casting spells that reduce enemy AC or saves (anything that inflicts clumsy, confused,frightened, fatigued, flat-footed, paralyzed, prone, restrained, sickened, or unconscious).
So some first level spells to increase the barbarians attack roll or lower enemy AC to help the barbarian crit fish;
Bard: guidance, bless, command, fear, magic weapon, phantom pain
Druid: guidance, fear, goblin pox, grease, gust of wind
The druid can also help the barbarian get flanking, either in wild shape or by summoning allies.

Picks are worse weapons if you aren't getting crits, and fighters are the best at getting crits.

if it was just the barb by himself, then yes. You would not crit enough to make the pick worth it (unless you fought a lot of low level creatures)
But if the barb gets support, then he can crit enough to make the pick worth it.

Yes he has a Bard on the team that can definitely support him.

I think currently the best crit fisher is a fighter MC wizard with a staff of divination.
Make the target shaken, flank, and buff attacks on top of that and you’re probably looking at close to a 40% chance to crit, when factoring in the true strike boost.
You could play the same with a twf fighter. I think you get bespell weapon for all attacks.

Bespell Weapon:
You siphon the residual energy from the last spell you cast into one weapon you’re wielding.
