I've played Pathfinder since 2010, jumping over from my longtime love of ADnD 2e. Since then, I've fell in love with the world of Golarion, went to GenCon every year it's been held, and attended the last in-person PaizoCon. I've purchases thousands of dollars worth of miniatures, books, and accessories and ran and played thousands of hours of Pathfinder 1. I also jumped aboard the PF2 bandwagon and am happy with its direction.
Yes, there have been bumps on the road which made me upset, angry, and despondent. Things like the Ninja Division fiasco where I lost $300 (looking at you, Eric); the (for my preference only) poor convention specials (although the GenCon '19 was a marked improvement!); and the lack of presence at Gen Con 2021. Quality of editing has been hit or miss, and I cannot understand how to this day a company like Paizo doesn't catch misspellings and grammar mistakes. I DO understand that developers and creators should not be editing their own material-so how about some of the higher ups get into editing and help out? Just my thoughts on that.
One thing the creators have done tremendously, however, are the quality of their ideas. Add to that their constant willingness to engage with the fans on the forums and in person during conventions makes for top-tier class acts. While the upper management of Paizo has some serious issues, I still play PF2 because of the people who actually create it.
Another poster stated something about new APs being "strange and weird." I agree, but PF has such an extensive library already there is nearly something for everyone. I am very comfortable with adapting PF adventures to PF2 (I'm currently running Mummy's Mask). I understand that new players may not want to do that work, but PF2 is still young, and I'm certain more content is to come. Personally, I'm glad Paizo is doing an around-the-world approach (although I'm still waiting on that Galt AP).
I wanted the developers and creators, especially those who I routinely see on Youtube and Twitch, to know that you make this game what it is. I get through my workweek knowing I will be playing PF2 the coming weekend. I'm glad to see Bulhman's face on the tube, or Seifter's cogent explanations with Arcane Mark. His partner in crime, Linda, always brings cheer and has an ability to bring things back into perspective. James Jacobs seems like the most caring person I've ever met, yet some of his creations make me think he might be diabolical.
I wanted to thank you all for your hard work despite the employment issues that many of us face.

I largely agree with the OP, but... you guys really need to hire a good proofreader. Especially for your Scenarios and Modules. I understand that your schedules are tight, but a round of proofing could do you a world of good.
Also, minor quibble: Can we stop with the "pick random letters and apostrophes" method for naming people? When you have to parse out the pronunciation of an NPC's name, it interrupts the flow.

Indeed. If the biggest problems with the rules are that we don't have explicit instructions for how Minion characters work outside of combat, and it is questionable if we can target a spell to an area that we can see but have no physical access to - then that is actually rather high praise.

Just rename the characters for your game.
Having abstract names for them makes them IRL-culture agnostic. No matter what the spelling of their names are, over half of the world will have trouble pronouncing them.

You're welcome! And thank you for the kind words.
I'd be grateful if this thread stayed on topic (the original post was mostly positive thoughts and gratitude) instead of devolving into a thread focused on random criticisms. It already seems to be heading in that direction. We have more than enough threads like that already. We also have threads for every product line and individual product, where feedback and criticism is more than welcome.

Thank you so much for all your work, every quarter I'm looking forward to something insanely cool (this time it's Book of the Dead and Kingmaker) and I'm always in awe of all interesting options for making characters but also for the pre-written adventures you publish.
To me they always have very strong, exciting concepts that just gets the gears turning, I'm running a campaign of Strength of Thousands, gonna start one with Fists of the Ruby Phoenix and am a player in an Agents of Edgewatch campaign and it's all been very fun so far and judging by the synopsis of the upcoming APs I reckon Outlaws of Alkenstar and Blood Lords will speak to me greatly as well.
Thank you for all your work and I'm looking forward to creating a bunch of psychics in the future.

Monsters of Myth is a book that I rolled my eyes at when announced, and yet I’m over here cackling with joy at how much awesome lore from outside the Inner Sea there is, and how cool even some of the critters in familiar locales are. This team - and their passion for diverse fantasy - are literally the reason I’m here.

It's alright. The big classic mistakes of Golarion include starting a land war in Tian Xia and underestimating how amazing Eleanor and Luis will make their next book. It could happen to anyone.
I basically buy anything with Luis’s name on it and I’m getting there with Jessica Catalan, too.
Is there a post saying who wrote each monster somewhere? I have some strong favorites, and would love to pass on thanks to the right folks.

I believe Luis posted about it somewhere, maybe the product page thread? Buying things from Luis, Eleanor, and Jessica Catalan are all always good calls. Eleanor even has some cool pawns for Wrath of the Righteous on Infinite right now. And Jessica Catalan is now in charge of all the Starfinder Society adventures as the Starfinder Society Developer, so be sure to check those out.
