There is no need for bears, because we have underwear!

I didn't say we were wearing it. Just that we have it.

So I think my biggest problem with the storm breaker books is that the sword is so powerful vrs regular folks that the author keeps throwing him against enemies that are immune to it by being a construct or some such. while any fight with things the sword does work on are just a vague description of how easy it was with the sword. Also what the sword does is kind of vague. The soul stealing is obvious and when it steals more souls it flames so good intimidation. It also appears to use the souls to increase the wielders stamina but that seems about it so far. I just expected more with how much it is praised. It does cut through most things which is advantageous for sure. could be intentionally subtle. I think he needs to do more description of the combat basically. I did hear he improves as he goes so maybe he will get there.

I do like how old school D&D the books feel though.

I feel like the bears and under wear should rhyme better then it does in your use and I just can't get it to click in my head.

Parsley, sage, lemon, thyme I don't care about your rhyme scheme.

Spicy retort.

Jalapeño, habanero, up your nose in a volcano.

Curry flurry you'll lose this match in a hurry.

Don't use a match you silly blighter, be a mensch and use a lighter.

If I start a fire, you'll just end up on the pyre.

We didn't start the fire, we heard about it on the wire.

I think it was the new hire... he strikes me as a liar.

Your the one he shouldn't strike, if he does then take his bike.

Then he would have to take a hike.. I think his name was mike.

Real question. Why am I seeing parents wearing masks but not their kids? like complete wtf is this crap?

I can say the answer why, it's because they want their kids to die.

I like that you kept the rhyme. That is a good time.

No more rhyming! I mean it!

How could you possibly mean it, when you haven't even seen it?

GAH!

What you think is inconceivable, others find quite receivable.

He tends to keep things light on technical description, really because (in my opinion) it's more about the overall mood and atmosphere, and he doesn't want to affect your sense of immersion by getting bogged down in explaining how things might work. The stories are also short and move along at a fair clip, so I don't think there's really room for that sort of thing,

Here be spoilers:

The two swords (Stormbringer and Mournblade) are extremely powerful entities in their own right who happen to take that form, and the question as to whether Elric owns the sword, or the other way around is an open one...

Incidentally, get a hold of the Stormbringer/Elric RPG if you happen to run across a copy. Stormbringer's stats in that are ridiculous.

Sometimes you got to lurk, sometimes you got to work.

Sometimes while you are at the work, you just have to stop and twerk.
If it's bad and makes you hurk, just keep on going don't be a jerk.

Because gran's side job is a stripper. he depends on good tippers.

I do not strip upon the side, no one wants to see this hide.

It would be a wild ride as long as you don't get swept up by the tide.

I think my time I will bide, less you think I'm being snide.

I'm watching as the backup fails, hear the tape drive click and wail.
Out spits the tape after minutes few, no way completed did it do.
Management knows that it does this, they have heard me moan and hiss.
Yet nothing about it have they done, if they do then I have won.

That put me in awe of what I saw
That's worth some pride for your pa. Maybe also your Ma.
That sort of skills break the law, not even a little faux pas.
It made the birds caw and the fish unable to close their jaw.
Not a flaw that you can touch with your claw oh pshaw.
Just had to let those juices thaw, and spit it raw.

Someone's TV wasn't working. Not usually a issue I have to deal with but it's good to know the tried and true turn it off and back on again still works.

The other night auditor here had a story a couple of weeks ago about a TV. Guest called down, said the TV had worked when they checked in, but now it wasn't. They were very upset, demanded a new room (with upgrade!) and a bunch of free points. He went up to check it, and it was unplugged. The guest insisted that they didn't do it, that they hadn't been anywhere near the plug. My coworker said he shrugged, said "Guess it was faeries that did it", and left the room. No upgrade, no free points, nothing for the guests. Just a note in the book to watch out for them as they might try to scam free points from other clerks.

I like your other night auditor. For some reason I gave him a heavy Irish accent in my head for the fairies comment.

No, not Irish. Just another DND nerd.

I miss my old manager very zero tolerance for scammer guests. we would black list them so fast... you would think black listing people would hurt business too but actually we did better then then we ever have.

If I'm the one you try to scam, I'll sign you up for lots of spam.

It's good if you fry it with brown sugar but way to high in calories.

I'm not concerned with calories, I'll sing them off with Valerie.

Talking of spam, I saw that there is an off topic discussion about not replying to spam threads. Now this got me thinking, what is a spam thread? Then I figured it out: it's a thread that looks meaty, but is actually full of garbage.

I can't respond to that. My brain can't handle it so I'm just gonna move on.

If you can't handle that in your brain, perhaps we should derail this thought train.

(Always remember, a "train of thought" and a "train of thot" are two very different things.)

or are they?!??!?!?!?

If your mind is filthy enough, telling the difference might be tough.

HE jusht needsh a cat girl maid to get in their and clean it up har har har.

If your maid is made of cat, does she clean by licking that?

Oh your bringing back that? well aren't you just a rat?

Call me a rat? That isn't funny. Here's hoping that your nose gets runny.
