Down the toilet, into the sewer, bursting through a pipe, burrowing down through the aquifer, and picking up speed. Tomorrow will be even worse.
You too, huh?

Yesterday was worse, but nothing unexpected. Big worse coming. ** spoiler omitted **

.
Sorry for bad news on a Friday before Thanksgiving.

=(

Condolences to you and yours. I hope things go as peacefully as possible.

Prayers and thoughts for you and your family from me too.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes.

Mom update:
They got Mom settled in to hospice Thursday evening. My sister went by after work, talked to her a while, and Mom had a little ice cream. I called and txted around to let everyone know Mom's prognosis and info so they could visit.

Friday was busy for her. Dad and I got there in the morning and stayed til noon. She had almost two dozen visitors throughout the day, including both her Floridian sisters. My sister saw her last, and she tucked Mom in before she left at 9PM. By 9:15, Mom had passed.

Another nice one.

Shame that I have to just appreciate these, and that I'll likely never actually get to USE them. Cuz they generate such cool ideas in my lil ol' wizzie noggin'!

In silly, ridiculous, and completely frivolous news...

I tried warning Monkey Santa.

But he was feeling feisty.

And it did not end well.

Although...

Apparently the beast didn't finish the job properly. We'll have to use more reliable creatures. Less friendly, less loyal, but with more teeth, more claws. More cold-blooded. Yes, I think that will do.....

Here's hoping all who celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow have a wonderful day. In both good and in difficult times we have things to be grateful for. Sometimes we have to look for it, but it's there.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

What Cal said!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! and to all a happy NO-Monkey-Santa-Pouncing!

;)

Agreed! Happy Thanksgiving! This thread and it’s posters are definitely on my grateful list!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go punish a monkey for insurance fraud...

Aw c'mon, go easy on the lil' guy, it IS Thanksgiving.

After all, he was just Monkeyin' around!'

Ayup.

It's a Monday.

Last night we went out and the puppy tore her way out of her crate. Didn't destroy anything else. Just broke free to wait for us outside the crate. I guess nobody puts Baby in a corner...

(It is possible Monkey Santa slipped her a shiv in a squeaky toy. We're investigating...)

Hi, everyone!

Hi John! How’s things?

Well enough for a Monday. How are things with you?

Good! The sun is finally out after days of rain. If I go too long without sunshine, I start looking for reasons to roll initiative IRL.

Then, be very glad that you don't live in Pittsburgh. We only get about five days of sunlight per year, on the average. :D

oh it is SOoooooooo Monday,...
>_<

Have a good week all! ;P

Military historian analyses Battle Of Pelennor. A particularly fun read for me, as I just went past the Battle Of Pelennor while rereading Return Of The King not long ago (not to mention the repeated going through Minas Tirith in Lord Of The Rings Online on multiple characters).

Oh, I meant to say, Nerdsgiving went awesomely. They had no idea what they were in for. They fought a horde of Numerian barbarians (which is just fun to say), battled robots of uncertain purpose (probably probing was the general consensus), found the preserved remains of several tiny gray people... and then they put on the "Dragon Crowns."

They lit up with glee as they realized they were dragons. They rampaged across the landscape before fighting a very strange collection of AI defenses (repurposed Aether Elementals). All in all, it was a great day and worked out better than I could've planned.

And at the end, they realized they had full control of a space ship. In Golarion. And they were the WORST kind of people to have that power... heh, heh, heh...

*The other really fun piece was that all the doors in the spaceship were automated and set to not allow more than one to be open at a time. This created a helluva tactical challenge, since they wound up split into three groups and being unable to get back together without a complex set of move-equivalent and move actions--like a real time Towers of Hanoi problem where they were also being stabbed, shot at, and electrocuted.

My Monday included a flood of one of the secured rooms in our corporate suite. An HVAC pump on the 3rd floor failed. Again. And flooded our area on the 1st floor. Again. 3rd time in 5 years. Technically, 2 months into our 6th year in this location.

I can see Monkey Santa now: beach chair and towel; sand all over the floor; staring at the tropical fish in the aquarium at his feet.

Awww yeah...

Oh Monkey Santa,...

Wait, he DIDN'T actually have anything to do with that, did he?

I mean, the pump ACTUALLY 'failed', right?!???,.....

<_<

O_o

It's in an area of the building I don't have direct access to, so I can neither confirm nor deny those allegations.

My mother had a test for Glaucoma today. She's home now. All is well.
