For those of you, like me, who had the 20th in their calendar - it appears pre-orders have been pushed back to the 27th. There is the option to pick up from Gen Con, and the pre-order still ends on May 1st

Thanks very much for posting that. I thought I was doing something wrong.

Cheers. :)

I woke up this morning going "OH NO" so this worked in my favor for sure o.o

You won’t need to stress about preordering early. They’re ordering the print run after they know how many people want one. Provided you don’t miss the closing date you’ll be fine.

What? Did something happen?

I saw that pre-orders did however go up on Amazon. Are they authorized to do so for the playtest?
For some reason I had it in my mind that they would only be on the main Paizo site, but now that I look it up this seems to be only referring to the PDFs and don't explicitly say physical versions.

Also a huge relief. ^_^ (I hope that includes the special editions!)

Liberty's Edge

Pre-orders are already up on Amazon.

Went ahead and picked up the CBR hardback and the Adventure Path.

Any chance we can just make it the 28th so I can order at the same time I'm buying Merchant's Manifest?

That's great we can pick up at Gen Con, that's what I wanted to hear.

To Paizo, is there a limit on how many we can preorder to pick up at Gen Con? I was looking to preorder the Deluxe and Standard hardcover.

I asked that question (and a few more on it) related to Amazon last week, didn't get any answers from Paizo itself, but from someone else.

I went ahead and pre-ordered it from Amazon. I'm hoping that it does NOT backfire (I've heard many stories of people that pre-ordered from Amazon only to have Amazon not have enough, and cancel the pre-order the day prior to it's release and other horror stories).

Note...Amazon seems to only have a Hardback and paperback copy...they do not have the deluxe version available. That probably is only going to be available from Paizo itself.

If one cannot wait though, they can do what I did and go ahead and pre-order it on amazon with all the risks and other difficulties one probably will not have from Paizo.

It's my understanding that for the playtest Paizo is only printing to order.

The Preorder runs from 27/3/18 to 01/05/18, so you can just not preorder on the first day - this is a preorder to determine how many are needed, so it's not going to run out on the first day by definition.

Amazon has the deluxe hardcover version listed as a separate item:

Good grief, how does Amazon offer discounts like that? Thanks for the link!

They sell at a loss.

I already pre-ordered the hardback on Amazon so I'll probably stick with that...but holy smokes Batman!

The above poster is right...how do sell it at such a price?

But they make up for it in volume.

Only in that there's a hardcoded limit on how much you can have in your cart, but if you want *that* many copies, you are probably are a retailer and so should be buying from your distributor instead!

Ah, I guess the coders used a signed int instead of unsigned, then.

Heh, unless one of each of the Standard and Deluxe is above the hardcoded limit, then it sounds like I will be ok.

Thanks Vic!

I have only run into that limit when ordering individual miniatures.

I remember before the limit. I ordered three seasons of PFS scenarios in one go once. Everything was suuuuuper slow!

Oh good. I wasn't going crazy.
