My familiar is now as smart and powerful as I am.
Everyone knows who I am. I have no privacy, and several kingdoms have banned me from entering them.
My first-level offensive spells are mostly good for killing flies.
I miss sleeping in a bedroll under the open sky instead of in an extraplanar mansion.

Now I want to run a game where everyone is playing level 20 characters. The nostalgic wizard gets the gang back together to hang up all their fancy equipment and do some low level quests for old time's sake.

That is a lot of fun. A nod to "old school dual-classing" is also doable. Have the 20th level characters cashier their swag, pick a completely different type of class and go to town in a new AP/campaign. Allow retraining to pick up entirely passive feats (saving throw feats, toughness, endurance, run, godless healing etc) then start over with a big pile of hp, nice ability scores (inherent boni are fun like that) and have a blast. 15 minute adventuring days should be far less of an occurrence. :D

Can you imagine having Lolth as a mother-in-law???
Long story short, my Drow fey sorceress overthrew the usurper lord of the fey and took his place, and tore out Lolth's divinity and replaced it with fey power to have her by her side. Two queens of the fey. Equal in standing to the gods, but with none of the rules and exempt from Ao's oversight. Good fun. :3
And also saved Elistrae's life (with Lolth out of the picture, the rest of those murderhobo gods decided to have a go at her) and put her at the head of the Drow pantheon by giving her the divine power extracted from Lolth.
I was not playing a Good character. :P

My 20th-level wizard with 10 mythic tiers can still only cast one prepared spell per combat round.

There's no "Spell Attack of Opportunity" ability for high level mythic spellcasters in Pathfinder?
But there is the "War Caster" feat (available for 1st level spell casting humans, at or after 4th level for non-human spellcasters) in 5th Edition.
Does that seem right to you?

There are 20th level wizards with 10 mythic tiers that don't have Quicken Spell and/or the corresponding metamagic rods?!

Papa Smurf saved the world, stopped the darkest evil that Gargamel worshipped from escaping the void and devouring everything, and is untouchable by anything and everything because of level and plot armor...and Angry Smurf is still angry while Grumpy Smurf is still Grumpy.
There's just no pleasing some smurfs.

Not to entirely derail the topic, but I hate metamagic feats that use higher level spell slots. It's another detail to keep track of that I don't want to have to manage when I'm already tracking what spells I've prepared, how many I've already cast, how many scrolls I have available, how many charges I've expended off my wands and staffs, how long each of my active spells will last, how many conditional modifiers I have going...
Now if there's a mythic tier ability that allows you to use a metamagic feat without expending a higher level slot, that would be a different story!

But where is the ixitxachitl?
You want to find the ixitxachitl? Well, it'll be a riddle. It was twiddling at the spital when a daemon—that's a lickspittle middle-man fiddling at the griddle—went spittle at the spital and whittled the ixitxachitl and now it's little more than a widdle old 'chitl.
