Munchkining: attempting to get a mechanical advantage out of the rules by taking the weaker interpretation.
An optimizer takes combat expertise, improved disarm , and a weapon that grants a +2 bonus.
A minmaxer takes a level of brawler, skips the pre req on combat expertise so they can have a 7int and buy more strength, and gets improved disarm and a weapon that grants a +2 bonus.
A munchkin argues that when they disarm the monk his arm falls off so that like, at least 25% of his hitpoint.
Another summary: "I can punch with a kukri right? So I can then use this feat chain so I can crit with my entire full attack 92% of the time and also get pseudo pounce". Or "The reason why pummeling assault/crane wing/slashing grace etc. sucks now or has 20 different 'no, you can't' clauses".
I also like to use the term "catfolk barbarians raised by half orcs" for the characters resulting from munchkins. But that is just me.
For some actual lingo:
Theorycrafting- the practice of creating builds for the forums. This can lead to some amazing builds and tricks... but also often gets associated with the "looks good on paper" problem. IE- "...and then my build will finally come on line and start being useful at level 15. Until then, it can't do anything."

OP Overpowered : too powerful compared to 'normal' characters at a given level, requiring the DM to up the ante in combat encountersto accomodate for the character and keep his monsters from simply getting walked over.
Not to be confused with original post, or original poster. Only way to figure out what kind of OP is context.

Swashigator- Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1/ Emp. Investigator. Dex build with heavy Skill focus and moderate combat abilities. A popular alternative to the STR based Investigator. I coined the term one night at a Home game and then made a Post with the term. It has stuck pretty well on the forums here. It just rolls off the tongue so nicely and describes exactly what the cross class in in the name.

Gestalt: Not lingo, but a special rule set that combines two class's. (Third party I think) I know it confused me for a bit.
Actually an old variant rule from D&D 3.5. It basically lets you level up in 2 classes simultaneously, giving you all of the class features from both classes and the better HD, BAB, and saves of the two. If you get the same ability (say, sneak attack) from both classes, though, they don't stack.
Example: gestalting fighter and wizard would give you all of the class abilities of both a wizard and fighter of your level, while giving you the Will save of a wizard and the HD, BAB, and Fortitude of a fighter.RAW: Rules As Written, or interpreting the way a rule works based on its exact wording in the book.
RAI: Rules As Intended, or interpreting the way a rule works based on how the game developers likely meant for it to work. RAI is usually a big gray area.
A good example of RAW vs RAI is the Spell Mastery feat. RAW, it can only be selected if you're a wizard because the prerequisites state that it requires being a 1st level wizard. But, since the feat was introduced well before any other non-divine prepared casters existed, a common RAI ruling is that you can select it if you're an arcane prepared caster like a witch or magus.

@Tacticslion, you know you have 115,239 favorites right? Does that ever become a burden to reflect on? I mean most people only have one favorite.
Nope! It actually makes me very happy, really. The only problem is finding stuff. There's no Search function for Favorites!
(I imagine they didn't expect people to have quite so many as I...) XD
But I like going over and seeing all sorts of weird posts, or just randomly clicking through pages, stopping somewhere, and figuring out, "Now what was going on here..." - it generally shows me lots of nifty things that I'd forgotten or not thought of in quite some time. Good stuff. :D

I saw someone mention forge combat model. Could someone elaborate?
I haven't actually read this document, I just googled: "paizo forums the forge of combat" and found this.
That said, I skimmed it quickly and it looks like it should explain what the "Forge" is. I think it starts talking about the three roles (Anvil, Arm, Hammer) around the 4th page.
If you don't want to read the whole Document, I'll explain quickly.
In combat there are 3 major roles that your party should cover:
1. Anvil - Debuffs enemies (enemies are sometimes referred to as nails).
2. Arm - Buffs allies (specifically the "Hammers").
3. Hammer - Deals damage.
If you have all 3 of these, you'll find combat easier.
If you don't have all 3 of these, you may find certain encounters harder & will tend to burn through resources faster than you might otherwise.
It's a fairly good way of breaking down tactics for people who haven't thought about it much. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.
This is also ONLY A COMBAT GUIDE. It doesn't cover anything outside of combat, including things like scouting just before combat. Building your character purely around the FORGE model means you may not be useful for any out-of-combat scenarios. That said it's not too hard to build a character that covers one or two of these roles without being a combat-golem.
Also most guides will tell you that your character should be able to act in a different role as a backup (hammer who can be an arm if necessary etc). Specialising too much in one area usually means you're weak in another.

AC - Armor Class
AC - Animal Companion
AC - Air Conditioning (less common)
AC - Acrobatics Check (more common than the one above)
All of which allows the following to be a completely reasonable sentence on these boards: I managed to up the AC on my AC, so now even if he fluffs his AC, he's still cool like the AC's on.

I remember an amusing thread where it took me ages to figure out what the OP was actually saying. Thread title was something like "Need help improving my AC". The first post went something along the lines of "really struggling, GM keeps targeting my AC. How to stop getting hit?" Wasn't until about post 5 that the OP mentioned their class and it twigged that they were talking about their AC, not their AC.

A term I've seen a few times is "gish". I have no idea what it could mean.
Someone who Blends Arcane Magic and Martial Combat.
They Tend to Buff themselves to enhance their Combat Capabilities.
Good Examples of Gish type Characters:
Magus
Eldritch Knight
Arcane Duelist Bard
Dragon Disciple

And that A/C is most certainly powered by alternating current.
