I think it bears mentioning that Dragonscale Loyalist, with its free Aldori Dueling Sword prof, as an Avenger, really benefits from options from Adventurer's Guide, like the one that grants you a scaling sneak attack damage.

I don't know about calling it awful, especially since there's some leeway with "as soon as she can get out of sight" so it's up to you and your GM when that would apply since just running from a fight might not work, as your opponent can keep following you, so you could take them out and then switch aka there's nothing to notice if there's nobody to notice.

As to the Will save it's thankfully low, as a Vigilante you have good Will progression, and the Companion to the Lonely talent helps a LOT, and you can always force it at the beginning of the day.

Granted I too would have preferred being immune to morale effects rather than just bonuses, but the flavor and mentality of the archetype far outweigh the negatives to me.

I don't disagree, but at the same time, I would personally rather burn the feat, since I think the Appearance line is better than what replaces it (and that's coming from me). I have made a note though.

@Rysky: Perhaps it was a bit hyperbolic, but the uncontrolled change thing really grinds my gears. Class features should not by their very nature remove control of your character, that's the purview of offensive effects.

So the guide mentions Legendary Feats towards the very end but I have entirely no idea where I can find those. I couldn't find them in Ultimate Intrigue and Googling also resulted in nothing.

Can someone please tell me where I can find those?

that's 3pp material, see pg 50

Sorry for the late response, I just saw your yours. It doesn't remove control of your character from you, it simply changes them, you're almost playing two characters but you are playing and controlling both of them. As a unique character option it stands out.

It's not really a unique character option, though. Master Chymist did the "2 personalities in the same body" schtick first, and it did that schtick better.

Eh, I wouldn't say it's better, it's also a prestige class and the alternate self comes about through mutagens and experiments, so different feeling than one brought about though trauma.

One hidden (possibly unintended) advantage of Faceless Enforcer: While they can't take talents to reduce the time needed to change, they don't need to. Changing ID is linked to taking on or taking off armor, not taking any specific action while changing armor (as it is for a normal vigilante).

Quote:
Switching between identities means donning or removing this armored outfit.

Overrides (it would have said "requires" if it didn't) this part of Dual Identity

Quote:
Changing from one identity to another takes 1 minute

There's a lot of magical solutions for that already, most fairly cheap (and gold is cheaper than talents), with Swift Girding and Armiger’s Panoply being the obvious ones.

Safe house is a bit underrated. Not only are you not a hobo, you're actually living in a mansion, in the center of an urban area (which can inflate the worth of that by a ton), by mid levels.

Quote:
I've found a "manor" (mayor of a backwater village) in modules of 65*55 foot squares with two stories and another "mansion" (big enough to be a secret base and have the amenities you'd expect from a mansion) is 110*95 feet,

This is semi-portable too.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

FedoraFerret,

Have you had a chance to look through the Anti-Heroes Handbook. It's got some social and vigilante talents and an archetype in it. I like the sound of the social talent, Beginner's Luck. It allows you to keep the +20 bonus when you use a vigilante talent while in social identity. It's got some caveats, but they seem to be role-playable.

I never interpreted this talent as supplying the space. You live wherever you live, be it a fancy mansion or a sewer tunnel; this talent just secures whatever space you do designate.

When you get a chance, check out the archetypes in....
Antihero's Handbook (mentioned above)
Blood of the Sea (gillman)
People of the Wastes
Ultimate Wilderness

Presenting the Ferret Is Lazy update, featuring things from the last several months that I haven't been updating. For the new entries, just Ctrl+F for Antihero's Handbook, Blood of the Sea, People of the Wastes, and Ultimate Wilderness. If I've missed anything, please give me a heads up, and I'll be happy to add it back in.

Presenting the Disciple's Update. Featuring some really good social talent and some... okay? Vigilante talents.

I am beyond offended that you said there aren't any good religious heroes, what about muh boi Jean Paul Valley (Azreal) or, as a meme answer Bibleman

Skill Familiarity from Disciple's Doctrine requires 9th level, but is in the 1st level section of social talents.

love the handbook

also, Vigilante Talents from pg 20 in People of the Wastes

There was clarification about Anaphexia Thought-Killer.
You get:
Monastic Communication at 1st level instead of 1st level social talent
Silent to Magic at 5th level instead of 5th level social talent (it still upgrades at 10th level)
Thought-Scent at 6th level instead of 6th level vigilante talent
False Reading at 14th level instead of 14th level vigilante talent

Chronicles of Legend adds some nice toys. Alternate capstone is unclear what it replaces (talent or Vengeance Strike), but gaining two talents AND being able to ignore specialization restrictions (potentially even archetype restrictions!) is really good. Almost a full page of new talents, many of which are great. Volatile Arrows has insane nova potential on an archer based vigilante since it can be applied per attack (Fast Bombs, but rapid shot/haste applies and you get full BAB) and you can take it again to gain a discovery to boost the bombs. Steel Soldier lets you hide an entire suit of armor as easily as a dagger and makes the gauntlets a pair of cheaper than normal magic weapons (Removes one of the weaknesses of TWF).

Malleable Flesh gives unlimited shapeshifting and the shapechanger type (which qualifies them for a good number of things that are supposed to be Kitsune only or off limits to PCs). Morphic Weaponry gets you versatile natural attacks (You might be able to create tentacles for hands free natural attacks though, as with all things Oozemorph, it's unclear.). You can stack Gruesome Shapechanger, Startling Shapechange, and Shapechanging Savage feats to unleash a series of debuffs on your enemies at once (fort or sickened, swift feint against one foe and free Dazzling Display).

There's always The Spectre, though he's been more more plot device than hero for decades.
