So Emergency Force Cage is an area effect spell centered on you, but through Imbue Arrow, can technically be put elsewhere. The spell lists no SR and no saving through, and has a duration of a round per level. I just want to make sure that I am correct in thinking this can be used with Imbue arrow to basically sequester other targets and take them out of the fight for a while.
Sounds....pretty fun : )

Sounds fun
One moment reading imbue...
Why yes...yes I do believe that would work. Good show.

Well that sounds like a pretty good combo as long as the target is large size or smaller and not flying. Granted many opponents will have ways of escaping (Teleport, Dimension Door, Incorporeal).
Honestly the true power of Emergency Force Sphere is the fact that it is cast as an immediate action. Cast a touch spell against BBEG and on his turn Emergency Force Sphere just as he full attacks.

Right on....it's absolutely one of the best defensive spells in the game. I'm just thinking that with Imbue Arrow (on a decent gish-archer build) it suddenly can be one of the best few control spells around. Even if the enemy can teleport out, trading one PC's action for the BBEG's standard action is a win for the players in any round. Of course there are some things this won't work on, I just think that if it works, which it seems like it does, that it's pretty darn powerful for a no save no SR spell.

Seems legit to me. Also technically they could simplify things by choosing to attack the square instead of the target. You only need to make like an AC 5 for that.
I forgot about that....hilarity. If only Emergency Force Sphere was legal in the game I'm playing in...
So you could drop a force sphere on them, and then theoretically drop an AMF over them on your next turn to really keep 'em locked down. Since walls of force are immune to anti-magic fields and emergency force sphere functions as a wall of force...talk about totally hosing a magic user if they don't get out on their first turn after being put in the bubble.
