That one is a Fey.

They already started taking stuff from the Inner Sea Bestiary so that gate has already been opened;)
And I wasn't happy about that-since they only half-gutted it.
Either commit, or leave self-contained monster supplements alone.

You have to remember that the ISB has monsters that are Golarion-specific, first and foremost. It kinda takes time to readapt these monsters for a more general setting. Then again, many monsters of the ISB can be rearranged, like the races and robots.

Also more LN, N, and CN Titans with more varying features/abilities like extra arms, a third eye, rock-like skin, blood that is poisonous or turns into creatures when spilled, elemental control/manipulation, powers related too a cleric domain(s), extra head or multiple faces on one head, powers related to plane/dimension such as the maelstrom, first world, dimension of time, etc.

Ah ah! Found more :P
- Giant butterflies/moths: Ok, B5 has 2 caterpillars (one small and one large). Do not, and I mean "DO NOT" tell me that these don't cocoon themselves into butterflies or moths in their life cycles :P
- Clay, Ice, Adamantine, Alchemical, Carrion, Clockwork, Glass, Mithral, Bone, Brass, Cannon, Fossil, Blood, Coral, Junk, Wax, Crystal and/or Lead Colossi: Ok, hold on, I'm not asking for ALL of these, but considering that Colossi are basically Colossal golems, they... can work it out with other existing golems.
- More Kaijus: Come on... please...
- Dragons: While I don't know what's going to be added for rules in the future, as the Esotiric Dragons are clearly releated to Occult rules, I'd like to see [Outer] Planar Dragons, like a Celestial (NG), Abyssal (NE), Axiomatic (LN), Entropic (CN) and Concordant Dragon (N).
- Animated Siege Weapons: I've seen times where the souls of dead soldiers could animate a siege weapon, espeically after a huge battle.
- More Manasaputras and sahkils: Y'know, since they are new outsider classes.

Me too. I was more than happy to see robots make it to the bestiary, but couldn't they have pulled those from the Iron Gods AP or the Numeria Campaign Setting book? There really was not a shortage of published robots from other materials

Well...part of the whole thing with Colossi is that they are "transformers". So what would for instance a Blood Colossi transform into to?

Blood puddle, gaining the ooze traits.

Given that the Sphinx Colossus transforms from a sphinx (statue) to a sphinx (moving statue) it seems like they've allowed sufficient flexibility for just about any golem -> colossus creature.

I really would like to see a real mythology based Leshy, call it Leshii or something like that, just make it's fluff so that it is the leader/first of all leshies.
While I really like the Paizo Leshies, I think the real leshy is awesome and should be in Pathfinder as well, maybe with different name.
Maybe Leshen or Leshovik.

I hope the colossi stay rare and not all golems gain an Colossus version, I really would dislike so much simplicity. A Bone Colossus while cool, is too much like the Gashadokuro.
At the rate of 2-3 colossi per book, for all 2-4 golems we're getting in the same book, we'll be fine :P

Just a few examples:
Blood Colossus: Blood puddle, as a Colossal oozeCannon Colossus: A mix between a cannon and a bombard
Fossil Colossus: Skeletal dinosaur
Coral Colossus: Fish-like creature
Carrion Colossus: Beetle-like creature

Thankies. :D
There's so much focus on evil outsiders that good outsiders are few are far in between ya knows? I'm glad we got quite a few of them in the Bestiary 5 though. :D
Welcome. Do you have any ideas for some more azata?

I am incredibly skeptical we will ever get another 0HD race that isn't small or medium. The trox were an example of how to do a large race that kind of only via the backdoor got into the rules. Even then the Trox are CR 2 in Bestiary 4, which is basically their way of saying "not balanced for starting PC use"
I think Devs have stated on occasion that creating races too far outside the norm make them harder to use in campaigns with more normal races (absence of appropriately sized treasure/equipment, baseline assumptions of Golarion being human dominated and attendant effects on architecture, weirdness with size giving unattended benefits.
Nutcase Entertainment |
Golarion is not the only world in the campaign setting, you have several planets and many moons plus other dimensions/planes. There is plenty of room for new races.
In MMCJawa's defense, the problem is with players wanting them in Golarion anyway, stalking DM/GM/ST, the devs, the designers, etc around on how to make it possible and "where do they fit?", even after being answered "nowhere".

They filed the serial number off of the Spellscar Fext easily enough.
EDIT: Oh, and I'd love a template version of hags... something to apply quickly and simply to Changelings who give in to their mothers' plans, for example.

The fext in Bestiary 5 is a reprint of a monster from Reign of Winter, unrelated to the spellscar fext.

This is true, but that doesn't mean the new races are going to be too far removed from the existing standards for Golarion races.
The Lashunta and Triaxians for instance are both medium humanoids

I would still like to see a tiny size race. I mean just because it is a 0HD doesn't mean a player should use it. But that is up to the DM not the player anyway.
I don't know what you mean by the existing standards of Golarion races because they have much greater range then D@D ever did.
Speaking of Lashunta and Triaxians, I would love to see stats for many of the races(and creatures) mentioned in Distant Worlds. Heck we don't even have an official name for the red skinned humans of Akiton.

You could probably shoehorn the Aballonian concept into a tiny size playable race. The example in the book is medium sized with racial hit dice, but they are supposed to come in countless varieties.

I would definitely classify them as aberration rather than magical beast, if anything. Really I don't think they should show up in a bestiary at all. I wouldn't be upset if they did, but, I mean, sure they're living and organic, but they're not really creatures. The same way the Dominion weapons and items in Iron Gods were made out of living flesh (one even had a mouth and teeth) but still weren't creatures. Plus their "brain" has already been stat-ed up as a separate creature. I however would love some rules presented for space battles and spaceships themselves, similar to the rules for pirate ships and sea battles. Dominion of the Black motherships and drop ships would be perfect for that, along with Eoxian corpseships, Vercite aetherships, and other starships.

Hmmm... we have:
Aasimars for good outsiders
Tieflings for evil outsiders
Ganzis (Distant Shores) for chaotic outsiders
We could use a being related to lawful outsiders, like Inevitables (Heck, I'd like an Android variant of it) and a being related to neutral outsiers, like Psychopomps.
BTW, on the unusual-sized 0HD races, according to the Advanced Race Guide, Large is 7 RPs and Tiny is 4 RPs, so... applying it to a human would get you a 16 RPs Large race and a 13 RPs Tiny race... both of which are still reasonable, on the same scale as aasimars and tieflings.
You guys were looking for fey-based races, right? The Tiny 0HD race would be a nice fit, related to sprites, pixies, grigs and such.
For a Large race, I can only think of a giant-related race. Common giants are essentially tall humans, so... The ogrekins aren't Large, despite being descendants of ogres, but I could see a half-giant, or "Jotunkin". Start with a basic race and later expand it. Aasimars, Tieflings, Dhampirs and Skinwalkers got variants, so a Jotunkin could get several variants in "Blood of Giants"... although they'll have to selct only the key ones because we have 21 common giants. I... think it would be overkill to have 21 variants :P
Maybe to go with environments, like mountains, deserts, plains, volcanoes, arctic plains, aquatic, forests and marshs, and then have traits to differenciate each bloodline.
