Interest Check for "The Broken Age" Campaign

Recruitment

I do apologies for where I actually should post this. I've dug around and didn't really find any better place to put it.

I'm a veteran Pathfinder GM, usually strictly running things in person, but as life goes, things get in the way to prevent a good chance to dedicate a solid chunk of the day to get a group of people together, so I'm turning to PbP.

This will be my first time running a campaign via a PbP, I've done virtual table tops (Which are fun, but require quite a bit of map set up, which can severally eat into time). I've read around the other campaigns to get the feel for how things are run and I want to give it a shot!

I have a Home-brew campaign I want to run, it will be utilizing Pathfinders rule-set, but it will be a different "world". But into the depth of the campaign.

This will be an epic campaign from beginning to end, ranging from level 1 and beyond. Group size can be from 5-8 players. So I'm interested to see if anyone will be interested in playing this campaign. I will provide area maps and all extra material via Google Drive.

World Setting:
The world has been ravaged by a crusade of a xenophobic king in possession of a powerful artifact known as the world gem. Humans under his rule have expanded their territories and purge the lands with zeal of anything non-human. Anything that falls out their mandate of what is worthy of the High King is put to sword or put into slavery to extract resources from the ground to fuel their war machine.

Races of all kinds have been pushed back, alliances stressed to the point of breaking, coalitions broken and the will and strength of many sapped from the constant war that has waged on and the losses suffered. Only now there is a moment of respite, the xenophobic humans crusade halting as a massive dessert, seemingly uninterested in crossing.

It's in this moment, the players find themselves enslaved, forced into manual labor in the tunnels in an outlaying outpost. This is where their story begins.

I am new to pathfinder and to PbP but I would love to participate.

I absolutely love this. Homebrew campaigns by good GMs are always the best. However, I have a couple of questions.

1) Can you tell us more about the setting? While your World Setting has definitely caught my attention, I feel like I just read the inside cover of a book and now I want to read the first chapter.
2) What are the character creation rules? I see we start at level 1, but how are we doing stats, are traits and drawbacks allowed, what races are allowed, what classes and material is allowed, etc.

I would be interested

Yeah, what they said. I'm interested and would like to know more both about the world and character creation guide lines.

I am also interested. pbp is extremely fun. You will have a good time GMing pbp I promise!

Welcome to the boards Pesha:)

Silver Crusade

intrested

I am also interested since it sounds like monstrous or monstrous-like races will be the rule rather then the exception. Only concern is the DM hasn't posted since Monday. Please tell me he is not in the same area as the other DM suffering from outages.

Kinda interested. What sort of materiels did you want to alllow? I kinda want to be a Half-Orc Skald, but if you don't do ACG materiel, I could do Witch.

Curiosity piqued.

Interested.

Might be interested.

I do sincerely apologize, the campaign is currently running now. After I made the recruitment thread I kind of got swept up in the rush of all the applications and such. So I do assure you I wont be one of those DM outages!

I'm here to stay definitely, the community is quite nice and a great change of pace from trying to get face to face meetings working.

I do apologize for kind of forgetting about this thread I made. After two days without a response to it fell to the back of my mind.

I am planning on running two games here in a bit, once I get this one off the ground. I for one really enjoy GMing for the fact I get to see other people have fun, which makes it all that much more fun for me, as well as being able to share stories with everyone.

Thank you all for your replies and welcomes :)
