And a bit more ACG info too. A new subscription option. And some surprising info about the characters in the next adventure path. (I doubt anyone saw that coming.)

Did have one person guess it: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2sa13?New-PACG-adventure-path-annoucement-will- be#39
I'm looking forward to the new features planned. And maybe the gap between Wrath and this will give my group a chance to catch up (finished deck 3 of RotR tonight, so 3 more decks, then pirates and demons ahead).

New one will be competitive?
Since my group does not play well against each other, looks like we might be skipping that one . . .
No. There is an event called the PACG Open that will be debuting at GenCon, with playtesting at PaizoCon this weekend. It is not connected to Mummy's Mask.

Most exciting part about this is that we'll be seeing more characters that haven't yet appeared in other sets. Very cool!
I'm struggling to translate the section of that post about the characters. there's a sylph and three characters from the soon-to-be-released occult set, is that right?

I took it to also mean that, and also that some characters would perhaps come from the fiction (Pathfinder Tales?) as well. The fact that there would be any character in a base set that wasn't one of the 31 (or 31 + the upcoming occult iconics) is pretty surprising. And that fact is what I was referring to when I said "I doubt anyone saw that coming." There is no Sylph iconic, so we know at least one is not one of the 31.

I was at the Future of Pathfinder Card Game seminar, and since it's after the banquet I believe I can relate what we learned there.
1) I'm not very clear on the point, but yes, a couple popular characters from Dave Gross's Pathfinder Tales (Varian Jeggare and Radovan) will be featured in the card game. They will show up in one or both of Mummy's Mask and later on in the Season of the Righteous. I've read the first three or four books in that series (starting with Prince of Wolves) and thought they were quite good.
2) There will be multiple non-Iconic characters. I believe a Cleric of Abadar was mentioned.
As for Iconics; Zadim is on the cover art. I suspect that what Vic was alluding to in this post was that Zadim was a good thematic fit for Mummy's Mask.

No panic here... That's for around Feb 2016 if I have it right. Since then I just have to finish SotS, go through WotR and SotR, include some 5 new class decks and as much iconics battle minis, not to mention some promos and whatever.
Good timing, I should just be done by then :-).
I believe they said January.

At the risk of taking some of the thunder from Tanis's Tuesday blogpost, let me clarify some of these abbreviated reports, which contain some miscommunications.
In Mummy's Mask you are heroes, but not necessarily the "you must be this good to fight these demons" level of heroes in Wrath. Mummy's Mask will take place in Osirion, where a city opens up a Necropolis to tomb-raiders. You will start out raiding those tombs, which you're free to explore... but the local authorities don't want you breaking anything. So it's a ginger balance of trying to succeed and trying not to damage the environment. You will eventually have to be real heroes, though, when a mummy pharaoh gets into his flying... no, now I've said too much.
The game will continue to be entirely cooperative. However, we're trying an organized play format which is competitive. The "open" format takes several groups of 4 players and pits them against each other to see who can emerge the most victorious and/or the least dead. So while a table of the open is entirely co-op, the environment is competitive.
You don't have to wait very long for Varian and Radovan to make their first appearances in PACG. They will appear very shortly in the organized play adventure Season of the Righteous. But we're not yet saying which characters from the fiction will be playable in the game and where. Gotta keep some secrets.

Interested to know if there was anymore information provided regarding the iconics line. Such as which figures will be in what set and if sales of sets 1 and 2 were enough to convince WizKids to make more sets. Would love to see a set for MM in time for that release.

Well, there probably won't be a set for Mummy's Mask, but I think there is a good change that all or most of the characters will be released in sets by the time it's released.
Wrath of the Righteous doesn't end until November, so Mummy's Mask won't be coming out until December at the earliest (we'll have to wait longer if there is a break between sets like last time). If they concentrate on the iconics that are already out for the first six sets, they'll finish almost all of the 31 characters that are in the game right now (or finish them all together if one of the sets doesn't have a companion mini).
If they start releasing the sets again in June without any break, these next three sets could be done as early as the end of August, giving them up to four months to release more sets before the Mummy's Mask card game starts. Based on the playtest, one of the Occult characters will likely have a companion: the spiritualist. But even if the vigilante mentioned in the announcement blog post coming out in Ultimate Intrigue is a new class, complete with iconic character, there will still be plenty of room in sets 7 and 8 for the last of the iconics.
I think the fact that there are plans for the next three sets is evidence that they are selling well enough to keep making them. I think the only question remaining would be if they'll be releasing non-iconic card game characters in the "Iconic Heroes" sets or not.

So just curious, if the first 6 sets do finish the initial 31 iconics and the seventh does all six Occult iconics (meaning the iconic spiritualist's companion isn't important enough to have a mini), what would be a good name for new Heroes sets that contain minis of non-iconic characters?
