I created this Avatar to try and make a funny post in a Mythic Evil Lincoln thread, and now it occurs to me that I probably should not have. Being that it is probably a copyright infringement of one kind or another. Is it possible to delete this Avatar?

The original name of this Alias was Mirror Universe Spock, which I am pretty sure is a copyrighted character, so to be safe I changed it, whereas Evil Sheldon could be any body named Sheldon, and not Sheldon Cooper, which even then is ambiguous as there are many Sheldon Coopers I'm sure, but Spock is pretty specific.

Considering how many people here have aliases of various book, movie, comic, or video game characters, I doubt you're in any legal danger. You're not making any money off the use of the character, you're not making any claims to character ownership or representation of the creator.

Okay, so, since the consensus seems to be that I was okay to begin with I changed it back, but if Disney sues me ('cause on April first they bought Star Trek from Paramount) I'll be very sad, well, not really sad as that would be illogical.

That's because there's a world of difference between pranks and lies. So many web sites just make some simple fake stories or blog posts or even single sentences that are just... incorrect. And they think that's funny.
Sorry, no. Something epic where you convince a large number of people that Mars is invading, like with War of the Worlds, that's a funny prank (assuming nobody gets hurt, of course).

For instance, when a group of engineering students manage to get their hands on a (beater) car, drill a hole vertically through it, get it in front of a public building of some sort, detach a flagpole from the ground, run it through the car and re-bolt it to the ground... without anyone seeing any of this... that's not kind of funny/amazing to you?
Pranks done right aren't harmful and shouldn't be annoying. Toilet paper around someone's car isn't a prank... it's just making a mess. Burning bags of poop on the doorstep isn't a prank... it's rude. But something like the entire premise behind Candid Camera (dating myself here)... that's sort of epic, no?
