Matt Roth wrote: Phew. Done and submitted. Committing to hitting that send button was way more stressful than it should have been. Amen. Didn't help that I found a typo on my entry 2 minutes before I was going to submit it. Cue maximum paranoia!
Jacob Kellogg wrote: John Laffan wrote: Submitted! Now I can relax! lol noob ;) Jacob's right. Take a day off to relax, catch your breath, pay your bills, kiss your spouse and spawn ... and then start working on your monsters.
Even if you want to wait until you see the final rules, now's a good time to catch up on what's worked and what hasn't in past contests and -- if you haven't made a monster before -- practice. Make a couple monsters at different CRs, and maybe you'll get lucky and the one you like best will fit with the rules (or can be repurposed for another project).

LOL, Steve. Laugh VERY MUCH out loud!

Hey Guys! There isn't an automated process on our end for submissions, and I apologize if it was unclear that a human was over here confirming emails. But, I've gotten through all the submissions in the contest inbox and you should have all gotten confirmations if you sent anything in last night/this morning :)

I appreciate the personal touch -- an automated response system just isn't all that exciting.
Aaaand confirmation email. Thank goodness for Chris Lambertz!
My players were nearly defeated by the Chelish Armada last night and I finished my submission this morning. Not a bad 24 hours!

Done, but not submitted. I was up most of last night then back at it today after less than five hours' sleep, and now I just want to take an hour or so to relax before giving it one last round of review and submitting.
For a guy who spent a whole 45 minutes on his round 1 submission (thus some of the formatting issues and so on), I think I've more than made up for it in round 2.
The more posts I read, the more I think I have a shot at Top 16 based on well-restedness alone. ;)

Less than an hour and an half left to submit if you haven't done so yet. Don't miss the deadline!

Clearly this should be trusted above all other descriptions.
Sent!!! Torag's beard that was stressful and I usually love making maps.
Submitted as well!
Now I just want this jittery energy to stop :P
I wish everyone the best of luck, but I wouldn't mind it if a pugwampi nested in your bedrooms for the next couple of weeks <_<

DONE AND CONFIRMED
... NOW I HAVE TO PACK AND HEAD TO A CONVENTION AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa
Okie dokie, I've responded to everyone in the inbox as of 1:27 PM Pacific time. I'm running out to lunch and will get to the rest of the entries as they file in when I return. Do not panic if you're not responded to right at 2:00 PM, I just need food to live D:
Note: if the timestamp on your sent email is after 2:00 PM Pacific time, unfortunately it cannot be considered as having made it in time for the deadline. If you're running last minute, send it ASAP!
Done and confirmed. At some point the promised "last round of review" turns into "non-productive staring at a thing I know by heart already" and one just wants to get it over with.
Best of luck to everyone this round. I'm looking forward to seeing the maps that people came up with.
Hope you have an awesome weekend!
I submitted last night and got the confirmation in the morning.
I decided to join Jacob in the well rested club and I went to bed at 11pm. Besides getting up at 4am to drive my wife to work and at 7am to pick her up, I slept until 12:40pm. I was joined by a cute cuddle puppy at 9am, which was a deciding factor of staying in bed until I had to get up and get to class.
Once out of class I plan on starting Monster Studies 101: Basic Biology and Ability.
My Civilization V game (currently team Washington), the slime farm in my wife's Minecraft game, and my regular Friday night board game nights are unfortunately going to be neglected for the next couple months. My Skull and Shackles game is a must attend, and Ogu Farnae, Wendo of soldiers, fire, and blood, is too much fun to play.

Thank you for the great advise. A day away from the boards and with my wife has certainly gotten me ready for monster making!
LOL. Now *there's* a great new euphemism if I've ever heard one. :p
"Hey, dear, you ready for some monster making?"
