I'm starting the August New Release thread early to help offset the fact that the My Subscriptions page is having issues and also because August is a big month!
- Early Order Spawning and Release Dates
Since the release date for our Paizo products is on Thursday of Gen Con, August 14th, which is much earlier in the month than we usually release, the authorization date/order spawning is estimated atJuly 31stAugust 4th.
- Gen Con Subscription Pick Up
Sometime Soon™ we will be sending out the email for Gen Con subscription pick up to subscribers. You'll be able to go to your My Subscription page and choose to pick up your subscriptions (all or nothing) at Gen Con. You will be charged Indiana state sales tax but not shipping. If you select to pick it up, but then do not, we refund the sales tax and charge shipping and process those orders once we get back. Depending on how things go, it may take 1-2 weeks after the show to send out any orders that were not picked up.
We are not able to offer pick up for non-subscription and sidecarted items. Anything in your sidecart will wait until the *next* subscription shipment.
- New Base Set for Adventure Card Game
Please note: The Adventure Card Game is switching from Rise of the Runelords to Skull & Shackles and begins with the Skull & Shackles Base Set. If you need to cancel before this new base set ships, please let us know as soon as possible! I know for some international customers, shipping and/or customs on an item the size of the Base Set is prohibitively expensive. If you need a rough estimate for shipping, add an ACG base set and an Add On deck to your shopping cart and see what the shipping is.

↬If you add an item to a pending subscription order and the added item has a "should ship from warehouse estimate of 4-11 business days or longer, your subscription shipment will wait until that new item(s) arrive before it can be shipped. This may delay your subscription shipment!
↬If you need to make changes to the payment method or shipping address, you can make changes to the subscription until the authorization date, if it is after the authorization date, double check the changes applied to both the pending order and the subscription.

If we want to resubscribe to the Adventure Card Game line and start the subscription with the Skull & Shackles Character Add-On Deck, what is the better option?

Last year the auth date was Thursday 8/9; I didn't actually get the ship notice until Monday 8/19. Here's to hoping it's a bit earlier this time :)
Next month is GenCon right? Try not to get your hopes up too much, GenCon puts a huge strain on the Paizo team, and shipments often get hit with big delays for that month (if I recall correctly, last year I didn't get my subscription PDFs/shipping notice until around a week after the books had been publicly released). Which is entirely understandable, so even though it's frustrating, please cut Paizo some slack over it.

Testing subscription pick up process for Gen Con and hope to have it ready and live for people to opt into by sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. I apologize that the timeframe for opting in is kind of short this year. We'll send out an email, possibly post a blog and even without the email. as soon as it goes live you can just go straight to your My Subscriptions page where the opt in selection is.

The ability to select for Gen Con 2014 pick up is now live on your My Subscription page.
When you make the change from default "No, ship normal," to the "yes, opt in to sub pick up at Gen Con," the estimated shipping should go down to $0.00 and the taxes reflect Indianapolis sales tax. The estimated shipping date still says "should ship by August 22" when it should say "pick up at Gen Con 2014." That is a display issue.
I'll hopefully be able to send out the email tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yeah that's very understandable. Gencon is a mighty big thing to prep for. Still, I'm holding out subscribers get the PDFs as early as in two weeks. Let a man believe dong gonit! And if we get it later than that, well, I've waited five months for the Numeria stuff, God knows I can wait 3-4 more weeks :>

I know that some of you are waiting on the availability of the Skull & Shackles Add-On Deck as a starting item for the Adventure Card Game subscription. This is tied to the auth/spawning and so will not be up until the 5th.

I totally misread this thread a few weeks ago and had saved the wrong dates.
I see some dates have shifted though for processing, so is there any chance of getting added to the list?
(If this is a practical impossibility, who is the most bribable person at the Paizo booth?)

Well I am hoping to receive this month's subscription quickly....but I am thinking it will be a while before I see it. Sigh must learn patience.

I'm hoping everything keeps going well. Ranzak is one of the PACG promo cards this month. He already messed things up last month when he tricked subscribers into thinking they would have to pay for him. Who knows what he might try to pull this month.

Looking at the time estimates, I'm probably going to have to leave before the August subscription orders are all generated. Its been running fairly well, however, so I'm hoping that will finish up overnight. Gen Con order auth and generation will take place as soon as that is finished.
Because this process is going to stretch over two days, people's My Subscription page example orders may look more wonky than they already did due to some display issues that have been plaguing us.
Any idea when the comics will ship in August (if there will be a comic subscription this month)?

My August subscription is now showing an authorization in September. Just wanted to point it out in the event there is an issue that needs to be addressed . If it is just a display issue of sorts, then please just carry on.

Mine too, but probably nothing to worry about :) usually happens when the auth-spawn goes into the next day (or something like that). Hoping that the process speeds along nicely this month - it would be lovely timing to be able to read the ACG for my birthday on Friday :) is there a ritual or something I can perform to keep the pugwampi's away this month?
Just got my email (yay!). Looks like the PACG Class Deck in my sidecart didn't get included. Are they not available for this month's subscription?
